I have written this on both IMDB and CU Forum and still think the same - EC is nice looking, but I would consider pretty/beautiful when done up with professional makeup and good lighting. I still stand by that. IMHO, she knew she would be papped on the beach and probably had good waterproof makeup on. Otherwise I feel she is just average looking.

A car commercial I hope she isn't driving with those shoes on it looks dangerous. She sure is doing alot of commercials, I'm glad I don't live in Italy I would be sick of seeing her. The US paps don't seem to have picked it up yet so it looks like her usual pap crew. Guess George being back in the States means she can come out of hiding again.

So this is supposed to be a car commercial? How come she appears to be wearing her own clothes? Could the advertising agency really not afford a wardrobe for her?

No wonder some of the sparkle has gone out of Elisabetta Canalis eyes lately.

At first we thought it was fatigue -- as Eli and movie star boyfriend George Clooney have kept a tight jet set schedule between red carpet appearances and movie premiers.

Now we think her feelings might have been hurt by some seriously off-putting comments allegedly made by George.

An interview quote has emerged that sounds less like gossip and more like probably truth to be heard.

George claims he is damaged goods. Mix past failures with George Clooney Movies and charity benefits in the works and the green celebrity actor sounds like he is happy to live his life in bachelorhood.

The Daily Dish brought our attention to a plea supposedly made by the star to ease off on his swimsuit model girlfriend when speculating about possible nuptuals in the works. Clooney says he is NOT going to marry Canalis, period.

George Clooney is urging fans to stop speculating about a possible engagement to girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis - the actor is adamant he will never marry his long term lover because he would be a "lousy husband."

The Hollywood heart-throb was recently rumored to have proposed to the Italian beauty, but a representative for the star dismissed the reports, insisting the couple, who have been dating since last summer, have no plans to exchange vows.

And Clooney has confirmed there won't be a wedding any time soon.

He tells Britain's Reveal magazine, "I tried marriage and it didn't work. I have had long relationships with women and they get bored with me working all the time. My fear is that I would make a lousy husband and I don't want to put myself, or anyone else, through the pain of finding out. If I was my girlfriend, I wouldn't put up with me for very long!"

How would you feel if the person who wooed you, swept you off your feet, made all the hallmark moves that a serious suitor would do came out and made a huge press announcement that they would NEVER marry you no matter what?

Is your advice to Elisabetta that the relationship is a dead end... and if she wants to have a family she would be smart to get out now with only 10 more years or so left on her biological clock?

Should Clooney bite the bullet, get a prenup in case Canalis bails out, and take the risk to pony up to the alter if she wants to marry the star?

Whatever the case, Clooney will have to clean up the emotional damage that could have been made if he really said the callous remarks.

He should listen to himself and not backtrack on what he said!! He doesn't need to marry her, or anyone else for that fact, to prove anything. If, and when, he decides to settle down with marriage, then so be it. But, until then, SHE IS NOT THE ONE!

Bits and pieces of this have been printed before. I'm guessing this isn't new and just a recycling of other articles. EC is doing just fine with things as they are. I don't see her leaving any time soon.

Why is a relationship a "dead end" just because it won't end in marriage? In this day and age there are many solid couples who choose not to marry (including celebrities). It's silly and old-fashioned to imply that all women desperately want is a ring and a wedding, and that anything else is a "waste their time." As for the baby thing... don't even get me started. Agree with you, but if you think along the lines of a gold digger, which is what everyone assumes Canalis to be, and there you have your answer. If she doesn't get the ring and the baby, she's failed.

Sounds like they are just rehashing old quotes. And it doesn't really help Eli's case when she wears rings on her engagement finger and plays games with napkin rings. Also her side seem to be pushing the engaged story it is in all the Italian articles. For a gold digger George would be the golden ticket! If someone in a relationship really wants marriage and the other doesn't then it is a dead end. It has to be what both sides want. I'm sure Eli would love to stay around but George doesnt seem to want her too.

My point is, I don't know her but I've read so many of her old interviews and I never got a gold-digger vibe from her. And I still don't get one. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that she may really like him, and that all the rest is just bonus? All his fans think he's the dog's B. Can she not think he's the dog's B too? Is that so unlikely? Why should her feelings about him be that much different from those of anyone else who likes him?

Fans like him because we like George Clooney, Movie Star; a PR construct based on only the best of him. None of us actually know him, the real man. If you're suggesting that she likes him the same way a fan does, then I feel really sorry for him.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that this is true love, no, but on all evidence given I don't think it's likely. As you know, I don't think this is a fake showmance but I also don't see great happiness and joy. I'm sure she likes him; he seems to be easy going, funny, rich, lives a great lifestyle, can make her famous and doesn't seem too demanding. He may even be good in bed, always a golddigger's bonus!

Just to clarify, no, I don't think she's a gold-digger. And yes, you are misreading me! When I said 'I don't think I suggested that', it was in ref to your suggestion that she'd still have gone for him if he was a dustman. I think it's a moot point.

But hey, not a big deal, I just don't share your opinion of her and was merely responding to the idea that 'we all assume' she's one thing, when it's not the case.

I also have never said it's 'true love', whatever that constitutes, just that they seem to me to have a good relationship. Much as I like Clooney professionally, I don't see him as much of a prize in relationship terms and am not a fan of his in that sense, so maybe that has something to do with my perspective.

She may not be a gold digger but she is certainly a fame wh*re. If he was a dustbin man, she wouldn't give him the sweat off her back.

I think she really enjoys the money part of it, but above all, she LOVES the fame part of it. Just from the photos alone, that's what it seems to me.

The thing that stands out most about these women George attaches himself to are their past actions. Clearly that shows exactly what they are after.

It always amazes me people say, "that was in their past" Well, in life our past is all we have to define our character by. A past does matter to the person we are. Character first and foremost. Our own morality and good judgement for ourselves. It makes me shake my head when people say the past doesn't matter. The past speaks volumes about each and every person.

What about G's past actions, in terms of his love life?

I agree that Betty is definitely taking advantage of all the opportunities that present themselves to her as G's girlfriend. But you can't really blame her, since it probably won't last much longer. Make hay while the sun shines, as they say.

I think the reason we all "like" Celine the best is that she didn't seem to get anything out of the relationship except the privilege of sharing G's life. Yes, that life has its perks, but she somehow managed to convey the notion that her favorite perk was HIM. Not the fame and lifestyle*.

None of his recent public ladyfriends have given that impression.

I think what puzzles me most about this relationship was the way it happened.
The day after he met her (arranged or not) she was staying at his house in Como, and not just for the night. It seems to me that relationships take time to build. Yea, there can be a strong physical attraction - but the PR started right away. I don't think it was more than two weeks later when certain mags started the engagement/marriage rumors. The beginning just seemed so contrived.

Didn't she claim that when she was in NYC in '06 (I think) filming one of her memorable movies that George stalked her? She had met him then, and was at the same restaurant he was in Italy a year later and they talked, but then, out of the blue, they hook up the summer of '09. blah, blah, blah...

The Italian press are stating that the ad is for a new car from an Italian car company that is going to be revealed to the public in March at the Geneva Motor Show. It is called a Lancia Ypsilon. If the car is on the street in LA, there must not be any major new technology or design features that are going to stun the motor show goers otherwise wouldn't the car be under major security and kept from the public's (and any competitior's) eyes until the launch??

Car is from the Fiat Group (Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, also owns Ferrari and Maserati.) The Lancia Ypsilon is the best-selling of the brand, compact, very popular in Europe and targeted at women.

I'll bet that her shoot won't be as good as the ad that Caged found! Just kind of funny, an Italian car targeted for European women, has an ad shot in LA, USA, by an Italian who wants to be an American. Makes sense to me - NOT!

Is that ad suppose to play to Ely's Leverage acting gig? Because the vibe of the ad was a total rip-off of the show - from the styling, to the way it was shot, to the underground meeting place, etc. Especially the five actors standing around talking with the camera circling them - that style is completely Leverage discussing a con and is used in most episodes. Or am I just reading to much into?
