They are is a new model of car that gets unveiled in March so before then, it couldn't be on the road as it had not yet been released and it would not be able to be registered yet. Usually if you front for a car company, you get one for the period of time that the advertisement runs so any pap shots aren't unintentionally promotiong a different car brand.

They must have shot a couple of commercials for the car becuase they is nothing in those released screen shots that even slightly look like they needed to be paraded around on the street in LA if the ad is based out the front of a hotel. Ely is wearing the same outfit in both the pap shots and this newly released pictures from the ad. Why the need for attention on the street in LA if the ad doesn't involved the car being on the street in LA? The hotel driveway in the photo looks private - but then I guess the invited paps would not have had an opportunity to 'catch' her working. Considering the ad looks to be set outisde a restaurant / hotel, you would think Ely's 'trailer' for between takes would have been inside the premises, not on a director's chair on the street. But I guess if she was inside, no-one would know she was there. And that just wouldn't do.

Watching, to me it kind of looks like the rooftop of a parking garage or something. Don't know - wasn't there (I don't know why they didn't invite me!!??). But, I agree, no one would have known she was there if she was inside. Maybe that was part of her contract - "let me sit outside so the paps can get pics!!"

To me that looks like a studio shot. Playful Deb, where are you with your photographer's eye? They took a picture of her, then they took a picture of the car (possibly a different photographer because photographers who specialise in car photography can't shoot people) then comped in her pic with the car and the background on photoshop.

I'm assuming those buildings in the background are from LA?

Sorry about the photo question – I wasn’t clear. The one with Ely and car with the city in the background I assume is the print advertisement that is going to run.

I was questioning the released stills at the same link where there are 3 shots of what appears to be the commercial in action. Ely is wearing the same outfit as she had on when she was ‘caught’ by the paps on the street. My question is when you look at the stills; the shots appear to be Ely coming out of a hotel and the car at the bottom of the stairs that she is headed toward. Maybe she glances admiringly at the car. Or she likes it so much that she gets in to have a better look at the vehicle that isn't hers much like the car commercial in Italy that George did years ago. But there is greenery around the property limits so I just don’t understand everyone involved in the production being on the street in LA and why she was getting filming directions in a director’s chair sitting on the sidewalk in LA in clear view of the paps that surprisingly turned up when the ad doesn’t seem to relate to her being on the street in LA. Maybe if the ad was her coming out of a store and was putting her shopping in the car – then that I get and I would understand the hiring of her to sell the car on the premise of the assumed lifestyle that she leads in LA with the movie star boyfriend. But it is not. There isn’t a released shot that relates to her on the street at all. So why? Why the exercise of being on the street? Or was it simply intentional attention whoring act for the Italian paps that flew in on the chance that they might get a shot of her on some random street in LA fully made up and in skin tight clothing even though she was suppose to be back in Italy rehearsing for San Remo at that time the shots just happen to be taken. Lucky fluke!

Ah, you mean these shots, right? Sorry, I didn't click on the link. My best guess (and it's only a guess) is that the hotel (if that's what it was) didn't want the crew hanging around inside and told them to wait about elsewhere.

Don't know what city that is, but it does look like an in-studio shot. I just figured the city scene was on a blue/green screen. Sorry, forgot which color they call it.

I think that when she's in LA she's at George's home with or without him. Remember it was reported that SL stayed at his guest house. I know, I shouldn't believe everything I read, but it only makes sense to me that she lives with him! I don't like it much,cause no matter how hard I try,I can't make myself like EC.

So, ever since George Clooney announced on "Piers Morgan Tonight" that he was not getting married again, I, along with every other celeb watcher I'm sure, have been watching the gossip rags to see if George and his latest lady love, Elisabetta Canalis have split.

George Clooney has a typical expiration date for relationships which are probably directly tied to how attached his girlfriends get. His last relationship with Elisabetta-look-a-like, Sarah Larson, went kaput when Sarah became just a little too cozy with the idea that she was George Clooney's girlfriend.

Sarah, as you may or may not remember, started talking too much. Like, she was giving interviews to television cameras and magazines. It was all rather unfortunate too, because she was rather sweet and cute, and like Elisabetta, the rumor mill was that she just might be "the one."

But, we all know where that ended up and well, now, it's Elisabetta Canalis that George squires to this event and that. Elisabetta is a rung above Sarah Larson in that she already had a decent career when she met George Clooney.

Sarah was employed too, but as a Vegas cocktail waitress. Nothing wrong with waitressing, mind you. But, unlike Elisabetta, who is an Italian personality, model and former MTV television host, Sarah was a little less invested in her career when she met gorgeous George.

Elisabetta Canalis Does Second Roberto Cavalli Ad Campaign

Elisabetta is also the current face (and body) for Roberto Cavalli lingerie, having just recently shot another campaign for him. In fact, those luscious pictures of Elisabetta came out just days after George made his, "I-told-you-I'm-never-getting-married-again-speech" on the "Piers Morgan Tonight" show.

One has to wonder if it was coincidence that George made the statement and then Elisabetta's hot photo shoot pics were beamed all over the universe and on to every billboard from sea to shining sea.

Or if perhaps Elisabetta was sending George Clooney one very serious message: I'm Italian, I'm hot and I don't need you.

I suspect it was probably a combination of the two. But, let's face it, Elisabetta is hot and frankly, she could have any guy she wants. And, of course, she wants George. (Get in line, Elisabetta.)

Elisabetta Shouldn't Wait for George Clooney

I think at the end of the day, this is a good thing for Elisabetta Canalis. Because if George Clooney stays true to form, her days on the arm of the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood and perhaps even on the planet, are numbered.

In which case, Elisabetta will definitely need a career outside of being George Clooney's girlfriend. The pay might be good and the benefits are pretty snazzy too, but thus far, the retirement benefits suck.

Don't quit your day job, Elisabetta. You're probably going to need it.

Two things strike me about this:

1. Wow, you'd never see a sexy ad for a big diamond CROSS in a mainstream American magazine.

2. Notice how she's holding out her left hand. You'd totally expect her to be displaying a big fat ring, but there's nothing there. Like, "I'm still single!" Or maybe they'll just photoshop one on there later.

No, I see it differently. Red dress girl - wearing gown and getting out of a high-end car. EC in black jeans getting in small compact car. However, after showing the inside, the car is just as elequent as a high-end car. That's why the joke/mock of using the back/train of the gown for a "red carpet".

Then you haven't been paying attention to the gossip pages in the past 5 years. Being famous for no other reasn than you're famous is a full time occupation nowadays.

What I can't figure out is how all these "celebrities" support themselves.

IMO it doesn't matter what happens between her and George now, she's set for life. Don't forget that she was relatively famous in Italy before she met George as a TV host and girlfriend of various football players.

Now she's rocketed to the cover of magazines and model for various brands - coffee, cars, jewellery (and that's only in the past couple of months). That's enough to keep her going for the rest of her life.

All she needs to do now is find a baby daddy and she'll be fine.
