Besides I don't believe she wants to work and give up all the shopping and holidays she has never had a job for more then a couple of weeks and it would probably kill her if she did. Clearly in the pics she is laughing so she is just being the usual fool she is. Maybe she was hoping to sneak into LA so people would think she was with George!

Leverage deserve what they get, so does George!

I can see her by the window, waiting anxiously for George to come home from Ohio for the weekend with a big bag of laundry which she gratefully accepts. Betty, the home maker - it doesn't ring true!! I've said before she is George's girlfriend. She doesn't need to persuade anybody of anything. She should learn from someone like Kate Moss, who doesnt talk about her life. She just lives it!

But Betta can't stand the fact that after all this time being GC-GF there are still people blogging that it's not a real relationship! She should just shut-up and live her life as GC-GF enjoy it while it's happening,Cause all the hints and induendous are making her come off as being desperate.

I haven't seen the Leverage article, but it doesn't sound like the stand-in is for her. I think Eli is only about 5'7" (I'm not sure that's correct - she appears smaller). They're looking for someone 5'8" - 5'10" - too tall for her. The stand in is used for lighting purposes, and there's a big difference in lighting someone that's 3-4" shorter, so doubt that's for Eli. The mention of her for this season? Could be old hash they're warming up for publicity - how did the season end last year with her character? And unfortunately, whether the actors or anyone else besides the producers don't like it, if they want her there, she'll be there. Though, with the backlash from last season, I'd be really skeptical that they'd have her back.
I think she has all those bags cuz she's moving more stuff into George's house to make the move more "permanent". I wonder if George knows?
That whole facade with the paps is ridiculous - since when doesn't Eli want her picture taken?
And, why does anyone think George is going to the Oscars? He's not nominated for anything, and unless he's giving an award why would he go? He usually doesn't . If he does, I think he'll do what he did the last time - show up through the back door, do his thing and leave. I think there would be way too many questions about Eli and her recent gig, their relationship, etc. on the red carpet for him.

Watching, I don't watch Leverage, so I'm not completely sure, but wasn't last season, the season that EC was on, the third season for Leverage? You sure that's not a press release for last season's dvd release or something like that?

It's weird. The request for a stand in is dated today. It doesn't say who it's for (which cast member) but uses Betty's photos and mentions her several times as one of the stars of the show.

Didn't her character die at the end of the last season or was it just someone's joke that she couldn't even act dead that I mis-remembered?

The last paragraph - website won't let me copy/paste, but it says this -

IMHO, one doesn't use the word "emerged" unless its a continuing character. I'm with watching on this one. They used very old photos (2) of EC.

If true, what happened to "I don't want to do television"? LOL!

I really have no idea what to make of that release. It doesn't specifically say that it's for her, yet they use her pics? I have no idea. Are we sure it's a legitimate press release or some weird joke or mistake?

I also agree height is tall, but maybe stand-in then doesn't have to wear heels. Maybe this is why she brought all her clothes????

Another thought - I'm thinking they would need to post photos of the actor so people applying would know if they qualify.

It's interesting. I saw the article, I think this is a legit site. One thing I didn't take into consideration is the fact that Eli would be wearing heels, which would account for the height. By the description, it does sound like they're looking for a stand in for her, although I couldn't find anything that says she's coming back, and I agree with sisieq, when they use the word "emerged", kinda means she'll be back. The clothes? I still think she's working on a permanent move, and probably has some winter gear (would be chilly there). For the show, they'd be supplied.
And it is weird....if she knows she's going to be back on Leverage, why would she say something like she didn't want to do TV?

The fans don't want her back on the show and when interviewed with Tim Hutton she said she wasn't coming back but she wished she could. Tim seemed relieved. Maybe she is getting another go that way George can keep her at a distance. I just don't see her working fulltime the girl really doesn't like working it interferes with all her holidays. I guess George didn't tell her he was in Ohio! Can't have missed him that much. I don't think George will be at the Oscars either he is working and he can't just drop everything to go and so far no word he is down as a presenter. It has all come from the same article. No reason for it to be a secret either! The whole hiding her face game is just stupid and she is grinning like a cheshire cat. That's not Gio, but Gio did take Sarah Larson around Rome without George because George had a toothache around the time of the Man of Peace award in late 2007.

Gio is based in italy and we tend to only see him at George's European engagements.

Together Alone! You would think after 4 weeks apart she would have gone straight there. Maybe he just doesn't want her there or she is too busy with all the unpacking and finding Italian clothes for her store.

Casey - thanks, I got so confused! Phew... will be interesting to see when/where they get together.

I know it's been said that, George is so busy with the film that he wouldn't have time for Eli if she were to go the set, and yes, directing and starring in a film is extremely time consuming, but really, if you'd been out of town for over a month, came home on a high from doing what you perceive to be a sucessful gig, wouldn't you want to see your lover straight away? Would have been just as easy to fly into NY...and it's not like she's gotta hang around the set all day. But wouldn't it be nice to finish a long days work, come home (even if home is temporarily a hotel room) to share a meal and some long awaited (?) lovin? You know, relax, take your mind off the film, etc., maybe go out WITH her to one of these restaurants that he's been going to with everyone else in Cincinatti? And if he has her around just for sex, then why after all this time, he's not in that much of a hurry to have sex with her? My point is, if his penis is making his decisions, what does this mean? And if his penis isn't interested in her, then why the bs? He's a very curious guy...

It is odd that she hasn't been to Ohio by now as you said we have seen George out to dinner plenty of times with others so why not bette. I do think it is over and they are just going through the motions for some reason holding off the official split. If they were together I really think she would have been there by now. She can't have that much laundry to do and if George can make time for others then surely he can for the woman he makes feel 18!

Lainey stated that Ryan wasn't going to be attending the Oscars. But it's coming from Lainey - got to take that information with a grain of salt. Her sources are not always on the money.

If you had George Clooney available to you - for anything - would you care about your luggage and getting "organized"? I'm thinking I would've done a "drop and run" ....but that's just me. Pretty sure all that could've been done for her.

Absolutely Bellybaby! You and me both! Organized hell! The only organizing I would have done is to figure out the fastest flight there!!

I can't see why it would take her a couple of days to unpack she could have had it done in a couple of hours if that. Maybe she will show up this weekend?
