If anything I have learned just recently don't believe anything in print form without facts to back it up. My fav mexican saying goes something like this Que inventa ahora!

How sure is anyone that the comments made by "G's friends" were actually made? It seems that gossip sites make up or twist facts for a story. As for analyzing her/their photos, again sometimes the worst ones are printed to convey the writers point of view. I'm not a Betty fan but I do think she has made the most of her 15min. As for G and announcing split rumors - I don't think he gives a darn about saying anything and if the friends route is used I think it's Stan who handles it.

Tabloids make up whatever suits their mood. This can include fictional quotes from close friends and judicious use of which photos to use to illustrate a story.

The frustrating part is that sometimes the tabs do get genuine information. How to sift through the dross to find the gold???

In all fairness, she did host TRL for about, um, three weeks. And San Remo . . . sure that in her mind that qualifies her.

As to what she would be competent to judge, I think she's the world expert in people who stick their g-stringed asses in the air on a beach. No idea what use that can be to the world in general, but there you go, it's a talent!!

@lucy, yes I totally agree, she looks older than 25, in fact I was a little surprised to find that she was ONLY 25...I just think it's funny that we're saying she "looks her age"....when it's only 25..

With regard to using the "married" word - I always considered Vogue (no matter what language) a respected magazine. I'm surprised they would choose that word.

Even though the person got George's age wrong, that article sounds like a Press Release from her PR people and not the type of wording The Sun would use. Its toooo over-the-top IMHO.

Is George Clooney finally finished with girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis?
All the signs point to yes.

Clooney’s girlfriend of nearly two years showed up solo at the Cannes film festival this week where she has been partying like a lady without a serious boyfriend. Even some of Canalis’ party pals say they are skeptical about their friend’s relationship status.

“She certainly wasn’t acting like she was attached. She was even flirting with the waiters,” one young lady who spent Wednesday evening with Canalis told Fox411 about her behavior at the Roberto Cavalli bash in Cannes.

Canalis has been in Cannes since the beginning of the film festival. On Monday she was snapped partying on a pal’s yacht in a teensy weensy bikini and on Wednesday night she hit the dance floor at the opening of the new Cavalli boutique with the newly single model Bar Refaeli, recently cast off by Clooney’s fellow ladies man Leonardo DiCaprio.

Perhaps the pair were nursing their wounds together.

Being set free by the anti-marriage Clooney shouldn’t come as a surprise to Canalis since she is about to hit Clooney’s standard arm candy expiration date. He spent just over a year with his last lady love, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson before calling it quits and has been with Elisabetta since 2009.

Clooney was married to actress Talia Balsam for four years and has very publicly stated that he will never marry again.

Canalis might be holding out some hope, however. She bailed on the French festivities right after her wild night out with the ladies at the Cavalli party to meet up with Clooney in London where he told E! News that the pair are “together and doing fine, as far as I can see.”

But E! also reports that Canalis has been feeling increasingly insecure around Clooney’s high profile high-minded pals, and that friends in Clooney’s inner circle say he is ready to move on.

Thankfully, Canalis has secured a day job for her post-Clooney survival plan. She has done two lingerie campaigns for Cavalli and the designer seems to have taken her on as his latest muse.

However, now that I think about it. That paragraph could be what Fox411 read on E!'s website and just added it to their article. Otherwise, I'm back to DD's post makes sense. LOL!

Well, that's a turn up for the books! Normally it's George seen partying like a desperate singleton after a break up.

Her friends are talking now! When things start coming out from Georges pals it usually has come from one of the boys. Eli's friends usually only say what a loving couple they are so now admitting they don't really know the status sends up red flags. Reporters have seen her partying and flirting in Cannes and are reporting it. This is how things end with Georges girls it is a pattern. She will show up in London but things are over between them soon we will get the they have split story! Now both sides are leaking things it won't be long. London will be very interesting though!

Is there a contest for Miss Butt? She could host that nothing that requires talent though cause she has none.

Apologies to everyone who's been sending me emails. I've been on holiday and a little slow to check them all. Below is an amalgamation of various PMs that I've been receiving. Note, I'm not usually a fan of anonymous PMs, but sometimes I want to share the good stuff.

Here's a timeline of events in Cannes as we see it. Is anything missing?

Thursday 12th : There is a tweet about that Alfonso Cuaron is on the set of Gravity. We saw Betty in LA this date too. No sighting of George, so we don't know where he was. We can be confident that as a professional George would have wanted time to prepare, rehearse and feel the mood of the set before his part of filming began, so likely he arrived on set at the same time as Alfonso. It seems logical, no?

Monday 16th : We have only a single pic of George in London dining at a pizzeria that monday night. No sighting of Ely.

Tuesday 17th : Ding dong!! Ely arrives in Cannes to show off her famous a** on Cavalli's yacht.

Wednesday 18th : Ted (from Eonline) does the scoop that between George & Ely is not going strong. Stan replied by statement that "They are together & doing fine as far as I [Stan] can see". Ted updated it by saying that Ely was just arrived in London. And see what we saw the next day? Ely is still in Cannes. By the time Ted published his article( Wed., May. 18, 2011 11:32 AM ), she could had gone to London. At that time,however, was around 6pm in Cannes and she was partying in Cavalli's yatch, which contradicted the update GC Clooney statement that she JUST arrived in London. She arrived there to change clothes say hi and go back to Cannes?!

Thursday 19th: Amfar event for Betty. Still no sign of George. She remained in Cannes for the following day and when the news surfaced on Ted's blog by his readers that it was not true that Betty was in London, Ted, in answer to one question, reinforced the idea that GC said it personally but things looked strange and insinuated the photo ops and mystery meetings in London (in other words, Ted was pi*sed for looking like a fool).

Friday 20th: Curiously now there are no pics of Ely and still no pics of George. So is she still in Cannes or did she go to London? Did she look especially pissed off on the yacht pictures the second day? And if so, was it because of the split rumours or because she was hungover? Bets are open!

Does the timeline leave room for explanation? did Ted take too long to publish their secret meeting in London? who knows? but if all is true, Voici was the first magazine to publish the 'fake/ended" relationship, followed by Lainey who asked a while back if they had already split when she was shooting a commerncial in Italy and GC was in LA...

IMO sometimes her gowns are not flattering.

Butt (pun intended), if she hosted, then she couldn't win the golden thong and that just wouldn't be right!!!
