Noooooooo! Not from me!!!!! I ranted enough about all the misquotes that all the other mags and sites picked up on, but here from the Daily Mail who everyone says is generally wrong, they get it right!!

Have you guys ever seen the San Remo Festival ? If not, I can tell you this, those Italian presenters are always OVERJOYED, YELLING in ECXTACY, GESTURING IN ALL DIRECTIONS, GIGGLING CONSTANTLY, SHOWING OFF THEIR BOOBS AND TEETH. It's a real cattleshow.

And I still don't know what ever for !!! Italians are born dramaqueens !!!

That picture is off she looks like she is in an odd position not natural at all. The other girl really stands out in the yellow, Eli doesn't look that great here. She better hope she gets some good standout dresses or Belen is going to steal all her thunder.

This is what I don’t understand about these fashion shoot things – they spend all this money on the model, on ‘name’ photographers, on the location, on the stylists, hair, makeup people yet they can’t pony up for some decent photoshopping? WTP? The tassel and flower have clearly been photoshopped in to the picture. The rope of the tassel over Ely’s leg could not look more unrealistic. Could they not bring the props to the set and actual incorporate them into the original photo? The solid red lip on her doesn’t work. It’s too harsh.

And the shot looks like she is offering herself up for selection to a client at a brothel. What is with the trashy feel of the shot? I know Cavalli wants to be deemed ‘fashionable & hip by the young people’ but this looks like a promotional picture of stripper on a flyer selling a 2 for 1 lap dance special for upcoming Valentine’s Day aimed at lonely, single middle aged men.

Not a bad job for someone who has repeatedly stated that they are not a model. However some of the poses make it difficult to see the garments, so is it an ad for underwear, or an ad for EC? Havent actually seen the final images so I am just going by the video.

BTW Melbert, love your avatar. I have a background like the one in your avatar and it is my favorite when I photograph.

LOL, since you brought up photoshoping - I had another look. The arm band tat seems to be missing, her skin color looks photoshopped, and her eyes/cheek bones, too. BTW, I know the tat doesn't go all the way around, but I would think some of it would still be showing. ???

Not trying to be mean, but is that her nose, too? I just don't remember if that is her real facial bone sturcture.

These things go in waves. The 50s early 60s were big airbrushing times too. Models and actresses looked crazy perfect. Then the feminist backlash gave us some real-looking photos for a while.

Clearly there's been a backlash to the backlash. Which is why we are all hairless and starving ourselves and smiling when 16-year-olds take pole-dancing lessons.

Thanks for the images. The lipstick works in the photos; it matches the sheets she is lying upon. But it does seem a bit harsh on her face in general. Wonder why they would photoshop out her upper arm tats, and not the lower arm tat? All in all, her pics dont make me want to run out and buy Cavalli underwear.

I'm not hairless, I don't starve myself, I don't pole-dance, so I won't be buying Cavalli underwear either!!

FWIW, advertising isn't entirely about showing you the product and making you buy it (if it were, how could there be perfume ads?). Pick up any copy of Vogue and look at the fashion ads. They're all about selling an image, a lifestyle, a look that says something about the product and the brand that eiher appeals to you (if you're their target market) or doesn't (if you're not). I don't think many of us here are in Cavalli's target market so what we think of the ad is entirely unimportant to Cavalli. The question is, what do his customers think of it?

As for poor photoshopping, take a look at this ad by Gucci (from my favourite website photoshopdisasters.com) and tell me what you think about the model on the right whose legs don't connect to her hips:

jmo - but the model on the right seems to be rolled over onto her left hip. If she didnt have a skirt on, we would be looking at her naughty parts. She's probably thin enough that her legs look "off" here; it's the shadow on the bottom of her left leg that is incorrect.

Here is another rendition of it where you see more of her bottom leg. Trust me, I am no photoshop expert, but hopefully you can see the difference

I assumed that by hiring her and the press that comes with having George Clooney’s girlfriend in Cavalli (like the Daily Mirror headline) in their ads, that they were pitching their lingerie line to the high end trying to get market share and sell themselves as a luxury underwear brand. So they get all this press announcing her as the face and body of, then they put out ads like this one and last year’s that look trashy, low-brow and cheaply made. You wouldn’t see Calvin Klein, Armani, La Perla or Agent Provocateur, etc doing ads like this. It seems to be wierd marketing strategy. She could do the ‘sexy girl next door in her lingerie’ easily and probably really well. This overtly sexual is too in your face.

That whole left "bottom" leg doesn't look like it belongs on her in either photo. Just totally strange to me.

Yes, in the Gucci photo it's her left leg (or 'bottom' leg) that's the worry. She's sitting on a stone bench so there's no give there.

It was me. However, in these photos it seems that neither one is smiling so the photographer probably told them not to. Belen just has a softer face/expres​sion(s). I don't think EC is trying to look a Diva here, I think this is her "sexy" look.

Anyone know Belen's age? Like we've said, she just has a softer look.

If these are the gowns they will be wearing, it seems they are similar in style and probably done on purpose. I think this is a good thing! Anyone know what the credits were for the gowns in the article?

Third photo down - I'm sorry but that is such a stupid stance EC did with her butt sticking out - IMHO - and I would say that no matter who's photo that was. Reminds me of the motor boat photos at Como when she was with her GF.

Sisieq, Belen is 26!!!!! I would have never believed that, but agree that she is MUCHO softer than Eli.

Yes, I don't think the girls (women?) were told to pose with innocent/naughty expressions. I think this is just their natural photo pose. Judging by these shots, neither seem to have a range of facial expressions or looks.

I don't know....Belen's expression doesn't look "sweet" too me....I think that's her intent, I think she wants to be portrayed as the sweet, vulnerable one. Mostly she looks like she wandered on to the wrong set, somebody threw a gown on her, and she looks confused and apologetic. I don't know her, and I don't know of her previous gigs, but I'm not buying it. She looks like a wolf in sheep skin.
Anyone who's seen me post, knows I'm not a fan of Eli's, but in these pics, I think she looks alot better. She's got her snarky, confident, butt in the air thang goin on, which is who she is - not hiding it. Belen looks like she scared of her. Eli actually looks like she wants to smack her in the last pic....

I just looked back at the pics. Belen has that "deer-in-the-headlights" look on her face. Kinda like a blow-up doll. And I agree Bellybaby, Eli's got her "thang" going there. Not that I like it, but it's true Eli!

Lucy, you must have missed the edit Katie did to Merlin's post on page 1. Katie added the same photo (above) that is being distributed. We talked about the non-tat, the "rope" possible being added in photoshop and her eyes possibly touched up. I also mentioned if anyone thought they added the "tan".

Yes, it is odd that they left the other tat alone, unless on purpose. Removing the arm band seemed a waste, IMHO, as it may not have shown up in that photo since it doesn't go all the way around her arm.
