Here is info on Burning Man...it is a huge festival very bohemian and decadent: no real cell service, participants must bring water and food and trade for what they need. It is supposed to be an art festival too...it is a community experiment....

When I was young -- about a century ago -- I attended 2 Burning Man festivals. It was a minimalist, spiritual, creative week of communing with souls who were like-minded, but whom you might never meet otherwise. Part of the idea was to use the positive energy generated there to power your own self-examination and creativity, and to help others become contributors to the community. One rule is that the land should be left as good as we encountered it. Most of us flew into whatever city we could get to, and then carpooled/hitched to the site, with friends or complete strangers.

It's now becoming very "cool" to attend (whereas, in my day, we were countercultural weirdos), and it's turning into more of an organized, minor-celebrity spectacle. A friend who went this year says the "community" is now a collection of cliques, and the spontaneous creations aren't shared with the attending participants, but with cyber "friends" and "followers." Which is a shame, because that defeats the whole purpose.

That sounds like you had a wonderful experience, Way. And the web kind of echos your sentiments...one guy said he hadn't been in a couple of years and after seeing the story on Keibler, he decided he won't attend it again.

I was raised in a way that attending something like that would have never occurred to me, but now I would like to see what it is all about....unfortunately, I would like to have seen it in the time you went, but not now. Gone Commercial.

Wow! That was a fun and surreal video. People looked like ants. And how come there were no UFO sightings there, huh? Seems like a rockin' place to show up if you're an extraterrestrial. But NOOOOOOOO, aliens prefer to be seen by only one or two people at a time.

Oh, one more thing....I thought they burned a man in effigy. When I first looked into this online (several years ago) they had actually constructed a wooden man (several stories high) and at the culmination of the festival (?) they set it on fire. I only saw what looked like a big bowl in the middle of the circle.

The whole thing reminded me of how ancient civilizations must have worshipped their dieties. So B.C. looking.

The season finale of Supermarket Superstar was last night (9/26), and for Season 2 (if there will be a Season 2), we could see the contestants vying to get his or her product available at Whole Foods Market this time. Why Whole Foods? They're the leading natural foods supermarket chain in the country, and we could be seeing Stacy's food line on there pretty soon.

In the meantime, Stacy's next TV home could be the Emmy-winning "The Voice" as their new Social Media Correspondent (replacing Christina Milian, who's on a certain show Stacy used to do years ago after leaving WWE). Boy, I'd love to see that!

She really is quick to tweet the word love isn't she? This has been going on for 4 months at best with the new guy. George attending the Bengals game after elbow surgery was about 4 months in for them too. Needs to publicly express her romantic status for external validation and to be seen as desirable?? Nothing really is private in the world of social media.

Well, clearly, (1) there's no heartache on either side of the GC/SK breakup, and (2) she seems to be a lot more in her element in this new relationship, if that is in fact what it is.

I think this just confirms that they were never really that into each other in the first place.

If, as I think happened, they broke up privately shortly after SK's visit to GC in Europe while he was filming -- say early-to-mid spring -- this coupling (again, if it's a relationship) progressed pretty quickly. She ain't missing George at all.
