He was politely saying he doesn't give a damn about this dress or any other dress.

Oscar Fashion: Stacy Keibler's First Oscar Gown Comes From Her First Fashion Show
The actress went to the Marchesa Fall 2012 show at The Plaza Hotel in New York and found her dream Oscar gown.
9:22 PM PST 2/26/2012 by Merle Ginsberg
"I went to my first fashion show a few weeks ago," Stacy Keibler told The Hollywood Reporter at the Academy Awards on the red carpet. "It was the Marchesa show, and it was really exciting -- all those amazing gowns, I was in heaven in the front row."
"Then I saw this gown and I thought, well, that's it, it's all over," she said of the strapless gold lame gown with a giant rosette at the hip. It was definitely the gold fabric against her bronzed skin with blond hair that really created an aura -- a golden glow -- all around her. "It was my first fashion week, and it was the first gown I saw that turned my head around. I didn't try anything else on after this."
We asked George Clooney his thoughts on his girlfriend's gown -- "It's a beautiful gown," he said. "I didn't really get a vote. I mean, she asked me what I thought -- but I'm not sure it mattered!!!! I'm not stupid enough to not say every dress I see is gorgeous."
Translating the words of George: "I do not care how Stacy dresses !"

George has pretty much said that the whole time, I just dont think he cares about Stacy and I don't think she cares that much for him. All her quotes have been about dressing up etc none about supporting her boyfriend or being proud of him or even it's his night I'm excited for him.

Someone explained to Stacy that the carnival is over and we are in Lent, and is not good disguise! Stacy was dressed by Oscar and brought bad luck to George! All interviewers asked George Stacy's dress and he looked embarrassed! The Barbie has struck again.

The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
I have seen the other dresses and this one was actually the most wearable. I still hate the flower but since she had to wear it as is there was no choice but to leave it there. George didn't look embarrassed to me he looked like he was enjoying himself. The women's fashions are part of the Oscar's it is always that way they have shows on the fashions after the show. I'm sorry but George's losing had everything to do with the voters choices and they liked the other actor better.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
During commercials, like I said last night, they would show the audience and while his part of the front row there were a lot of people milling about I did get to see some moments. Besides her texting she spoke to the guy between her and SB....GC talked to the guy to his left a lot. He did speak to her too and she smiled a bit at what he said....she also fiddled with her hair a lot. I think it was in her way....again I didn't like the hair but she kept touching like it was bothering her. It also started to droop by the end of the night.....in her defense most hairstyles do tend to slip unless they have lots and lots of product in it. One other thing I noticed at the end (after he lost) there was a point where she laid her hand on top of his which was on his knee...not his usual stance....she didn't hold his hand just laid it on top....it was the warmest thing I have seen between the two of them....oh and by the photos above he does seem to be holding her hand better.
By contrast AJ and BP were a bit affectionate with each other ----laughing and talking...albeit they kept turning around to talk to Jonah Hill.
Sorry for the long post but one more thing.....Cameron Diaz sat behind them....that girl can talk.....when I could see them she was constantly moving and talking....very cute....

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
After the show, Stacy and George – who first took their romance public in October at “The Descendants” New York City premiere — are planning to get out of town to unwind from the whirlwind awards season.
“We are definitely planning some things,” Stacy told Billy, when asked if she and George were heading to his Lake Como, Italy, home for vacation. “Yes. To just get off of our e-mail and just kind of relax for a little bit.”
what???

Lake Como it is still cold there. I would think Cabo at least. She needs to relax what has she done, but diet and dress up. I would think she is too busy for a vacation now with all the offers coming in. LOL

George Clooney & Marchesa-clad Stacy Keibler: tacky, bitter or beautiful?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Last night, Jean Dujardin and Harvey Weinstein scored a major victory when Dujardin, a little-known French actor with oodles of charm and humor and barely any name recognition, ended up taking home the Best Actor Oscar. Didn’t Dujardin know that the Oscar was supposed to go to George Clooney?!?!? And so that became the conversation – how did Clooney lose what was considered a “sure thing”? Clooney came into the awards season ahead of everyone else, he was the one to beat, it was his to lose. So what went wrong? Are we looking at what went wrong in these photos? Are people getting tired of seeing Clooney’s escort-of-the-moment on every red carpet?
Now, I’m not really blaming Stacy Keibler. She’s doing her best, she’s hustling, she’s trying to be the perfect Oscar-Date Barbie. Whatever happened between late December and today, it’s all Clooney. He wants to date C-list wrestlers and scandal-prone Italian “performers” – which is fine. His choice. But he wants to dress them up and whitewash them – “Pretty Woman” these girls and force us to accept them as his equal partners. And it’s just not working anymore, is it? That’s what Clooney’s body language on the red carpet told me – his face said, “I might need a new strategy.” Of course, he might end up doubling-down on this strategy, though. Every time I think one of his girls is on the way out, she ends up hanging on for months longer. But it certainly seemed like he didn’t want Stacy to even open her mouth, right? He seemed contemptuous. Bitter.
So, poor Oscar-Date Barbie. I felt bad that she felt the need to dress up like a damn Oscar statue in this gold Marchesa. Why was everyone talking about how great this dress is? It’s not good. And I have to say something shocking about it too – I think Stacy makes the dress look much better than it really should look. Somehow, a busted dress on a budget girl equals “not that horrible.” I did hate Stacy’s hair, though. And her earrings were horrible!!
Last thing: we got a promotional email letting us know that Stacy had used “Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser” before the Oscars. I wonder how much she got paid for that endorsement? Poor Oscar-Date Barbie.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
First off, a 32-year old relates going to the Oscars, with "I feel like I'm going to the Prom"??? Wonder when puberty will set in for this girl...
I actually had a twinge of hope last nite - Guiliana was on, and just said "Will George bring Stacy tonite?...Oh, I bet they will" (I think she meant, "bet they will come together"). I walked away from the tv, and when I came back, saw George signing autographs by himself!! Yeah, well, two seconds later, there she was..
My first thought was, that she looked pretty good. I loved the top of the dress, the color. Not a fan of the side-swept hair, but, it was ok. Then I saw a full length view, and her try to walk.
Morticia in an 80's prom dress. Maybe she thought the Oscars was a prom, who knows. I would have loved this dress without that rose thing. And if you could walk in it.
I'm gonna be uncharacteristically nice about her here.....It's gotta get old, real quick, to constantly be told how TALL you are. George, on at least two interviews, said she hit a blimp. And in at least one, said she had to duck from planes. Her boyfriend. Nice. Everyone else said she looked like a statue. If she were dating someone who was 6' or over, these questions never would've come up.
And, didn't she say, right after the Fashion Week shows, that she had several dresses that she liked, and was trying on for the Oscars? And last nite she said as soon as she saw this one, it was the only one she tried on???
And all the gushing from Kelly and Guiliana about Crays dress? I wonder what opinion they'd have of their own dresses, if they saw someone else wearing them....not good, imo. Not sure how they're opinions on fashion got to be so valid....

Did Sarah Larson have the same sort of hairstyle (all combed over to one side) when she went to the Oscars? Looking at the pic in lelacorb's post above, she looks much the same to me as SL, just a different dress and haircolour. Or have I just stated the obvious: that all of his 'dates' seem interchangeable?

A small victory for Elisabetta Canalis. She thinks that it's due to KARMA that George lost but she is exchanging tweets also about Stacy:

What I don't get, is some of these best dressed lists coming out today. They put Stacy on the best dressed lists with some of these very accomplished actresses. You don't see anybody else's wife, escort or significant other being mentioned. I thought Colin Firth's wife looked great and so did Gary Oldman's wife. They should have a separate list for these ladies. Stacy shouldn't be lined up with Octavia Spencer and Natalie Portman and Glenn Close, really.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
I know people will hate me for saying this, but I really think Stacy played a part in George's loss. Not all her fault, as he agreed to the relationship and the other actors were talented but their relationship cast a negative shadow over George. if he had gone single all these months or taken his Mom we may have had a different outcome. Image is everything in Hollywood and she has not done anything positive for his image. While Eli may have had a similar affect is he had stuck it out through award season with her then people might have seen him in a different light as someone who was in a long term relationship. I don't care what they say the awards are not just about acting it's also people's perceptions that come in to play when casting a vote.

Stacy Keibler: Her first Oscar ceremony with Clooney
By Maura Judkis
Stacy Keibler — professional wrestler, professional model, and now, professional girlfriend of George Clooney — attended her first Academy Awards ceremony on the arm of her best actor-nominated beau. And even though Clooney was the one being honored that night (though he lost to “The Artist’s” Jean Dujardin) all eyes were on Keibler, who looked stunning in a Marchesa gown. Here’s a look at how the night went for one of Hollywood’s newest objects of fascination:
George Clooney and Stacy Keibler arrive before the 84th Academy Awards on Sunday. (Chris Pizzello - AP)
Keibler...
• Resembled the Oscar statuette: In her gold Marchesa gown, Keibler was one of the best-dressed celebrities of the night, and she (naturally) shined on the arm of Clooney. “By the way, she’s not wearing a dress --she’s just been sprayed gold,” Clooney told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood.
“It’s the night of the golden statue, you could leave with two tonight,” Bush told Clooney, who replied, “I got one already, so I’m fine.”
Keibler is known for her elegant red-carpet style. Check out some of her best dresses from movie premieres.
• Received praise and criticism for her resemblance to the Oscar statuette: Never mind that the Oscar statuette is actually a naked, hairless man. The gold statue comparisons continued all night long for Keibler. People said she was “channeling Oscar himself.” Celeb[expletive], true to its name, didn’t have as rosy of a view. “She’s trying to be the perfect Oscar-Date Barbie.” they wrote. “I felt bad that she felt the need to dress up like a damn Oscar statue in this gold Marchesa.”
• Tweeted about Clooney’s kissing abilities: In Crystal’s opening montage skit, he played the comatose wife of Clooney’s “Descendants” character, receiving a kiss on the lips from the dreamy star. Keibler made all of Twitter jealous with some braggy confirmation of Clooney’s lip-locking skills. “You’re right @BillyCrystal he is a good kisser,” she tweeted.
Access Hollywood reported that after the Oscars, Clooney and Keibler were headed to the actor’s home at Lake Cuomo, Italy for, presumably, plenty of kissing.

no one goes to Como this time of year, it's col and damp. Even George has said this before. Its a summer place. I would have thought she would have been too busy with all her mega deals to take a break, But it has been such a long time since she was able to take a break, right???

I think you answered your own question: she was on the best dressed lists because some people liked her dress.lovelylois wrote:What I don't get, is some of these best dressed lists coming out today. At the end of the day, it's only a dress. She's over six foot tall in heels and there's nothing she could possibly wear that would hide that, so she's going to stand out no matter what she has on. Some liked it, some don't and many others couldn't care either way.
As for the going away part, I'd guess Mexico again, although George was supposedly having surgery after the Oscars wasn't he? Maybe a hospital trip and then a bit of recuperation somewhere sunny?

For the first time I agree with celebitchy

I'm not sure what you're talking about either Pari. George and Stacy only started dating last summer.

I didn't see that but I think it's heartwarming that she does care enough about him to offer sympathy.

Pari, I don't know what you're talking about, I was simply expressing my opinion on how I thought it was nice Stacy showed George some sympathy, AND I am not part of a "bunch of interchangeable IDs." I have only one ID and that's Cindigirl.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
Italy: that disappointment the look of the stars on the look !
But we come to the field that falls to us, namely the red carpet and all those who have had the good fortune to calcarlo last night in Los Angeles, receiving the barrage of paparazzi and criticism, not always friendly, worldwide, and fashionista not.
Where do we start? Of the two dresses terrible effect Ferrero Rocher Meryl Streep and Stacey Keibler, his new partner (or companion?) George Clooney already mentioned above: how can you look elegant when you're dressed like the giant Oscar statues strewn along the path?
The human mind is really twisted and it's fine that the bad taste of Streep already knew, having already seen withdrawing in the year two more Oscars began with perhaps retrieved at the flea market (okay snobbery from the great actress from the sublime talent, but because not treat more than your looks? Basically it's just an evening Meryl, you could make an effort!), but Stacey Keibler is unforgivable in his first grand outing humiliates Clooney appearing in a dress not only gold, but also by the asymmetric volume , which runs on the front of composing on a huge pink draped silhouette ...
Clooney, more cunning, was in a classic black tuxedo by Giorgio Armani ordinance and Elisabetta Canalis you can think whatever you want, but a suit like that would never worn, trust me!
Clooney also is always wonderful, but if pubblicassimo photos of last year you would not know either, so it is always equal to itself, a bit 'too much maybe ... never a flicker of originality.
Perfection, at least apparently, in the end boring.
But back to the outfit performed on the red carpet: frankly, will never understand why, instead of simple, elegant dress that leaves reveal a sophisticated femininity worthy of a star, you tuffino many celebrities in the studios of designers crazy just to end up in the papers are ready to dress them up in an absurd way.
Take Angelina Jolie: her beauty is undeniable, but it is enough? Of course not. She is also the subject of the Carnival. If he wanted to, with that hairstyle and that gap, which so generously allowed a glimpse of her legs, dress up as Jessica Rabbit in the dark version? Because if this was his intention, is fully successful, or perhaps already suffering from the comparison with younger colleagues, and more elegant than she? Maybe, but Jolie in "Francesca Dellera" Atelier Versace gown and it has really disappointed.
And what about Brad Pitt that looked like an old cowboy? Ok, a great cowboy, but that look is? We hope to have hair so long just to script requirements ...
But with so many fine clothes, with so many talented designers who create masterpieces of high fashion, because we have to find every year having to make a star fleas for months that do nothing but think of the perfect dress to impress the world and then they always began with choosing improbable and preposterous?
Luckily syndrome Lady Gaga is not rampant, but otherwise Rio Carnival!, But the bad taste, you know, always has two poles: one positive and one negative.
The positive is that style of performer Lady Gaga, authorized by the art (and some other substance) to express themselves through clothing-sculptures, the negative is that which belongs to those who believe he was dressed, not dressed up, diva Hollywood.
Take the Blue Fairy look Penelope Cruz (in Armani Prive) with that retro hairstyle: someone tells you that there is no need to dress like a diva forties to be a diva. First of all because she is already and then as time passes, also for fashion. The dress does not make the monaco and Penelope Cruz, Latin chica, was much more daring, considering the super macho which is tied, Javier Bardem ... A couple caliente fuego that hides beneath the ashes of banality.
Another chica caliente, who never hides anything at all, it's Jennifer Lopez.
With her virginal inaugurating the tracking of mania that last night, as the epidemic has hit so many stars on the red carpet, even dive with a turbulent past on his shoulders for which certainly sorrideremmo if vestissero of white on the day of their marriage .. . Anyway, find out who they are in our gallery and in any case, remember that white, as already found on the runways of high fashion Italian, is the must-have this season, therefore, beyond the slits and exaggerated effects-I do not see , yesterday, who was dressed in white has guessed the color of the season. And some have even replicated as it continues Charlene Wittstock, dressed in white (again!) to recite in public the role of the faithless wife happy with her husband Andrea of Monaco. By the way, but we were both at the Oscars?
A more unfortunate that, frankly, given that he should think to reign over a principality. Who want to follow in the footsteps of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy? We'll find out soon ...
Meanwhile, however, we discover what actress has decided to move her look with a little 'color. And here are a pain ...
For once (she's human!) Wrong outfit even the sophisticated Natalie Portman, in a long dress with tiny polka dots red-black blacks and clutches in his hands: too much good taste and insignificant, a pretty dress, yes, but not suitable Night at the Oscars. About gliel'avrà recommended? Not sure who suggested last year, when he won, pregnant, the legendary statue for "Black Swan" by withdrawing the Oscars wearing a stunning purple dress.
If Natalie Portman is not even able to choose an outfit couture what to expect from the other divas were eager to show photographers and television side "a" and "b"?
Maybe we save, even if the judge still too austere and Sandra Bullock in a stylish black & white dress lit by a golden décor on the waist and with great surprise split shoulders and Gwyneth Paltrow, always all alone, without escort, which exhibited a new haircut and an outfit that is very minimal set, but is sophisticated enough to reconfirm hieratic fashion icon.
Come on guys, it's always Oscar Night! Already there is a zone where people from around the world looks at you is because instead of sleeping and dreaming star prefers to wake up and daydreaming!
But the stars are not as they used to be, indeed are no more stars, but mere actors, people who play. Simply. Around their figure there is no aura of legend and charismatic, know everything about them, or imagine we know.
I had already figured out Gloria Swanson in "Sunset Boulevard": "In film there is something wrong. It's over, destroyed .... I am big, it's the pictures that got small," referring to the birth of television.
We could say the same about the internet every day shows us that stars in slippers or while going to the grocery store, sloppy as ever.
We understand their desire to live a normal life, but they will also understand what it is then difficult to imagine them "stars" just because they walk on a red carpet with the dress of the party, and even well-chosen.
Perhaps the only true diva Dita Von Teese has remained. Have you ever seen out of the house began with a less than perfect? We do not. Never.
We want to be a diva attitude, perseverance and determination.
All these simple skills that actors are missing.
What times we live miserable and wretched. Without heroes, not celebrities.
Do not know about you, but we no clothes made us say "wow!", But one which we are particularly proud, for obvious reasons, we will discuss in the next post, not so much because of parochialism tacciateci, who cares?

Oh dear.... here we go again...the Phantom Red Clicker is Back.
What is the point of that ?
BTW...I'm pleased you're counting your blessings Pari. Just please stop jumping on folk who don't agree with you too. OK ?
Your Heaven wouldn't approve, me thinks.
For the record, I too noticed how Stacy looked at George with warmth at one stage in the proceedings. Whatever their relationship is, they obviously like each other and seem comfortable with each other and care about each other. Can one ask for more in a Goldfish Bowl type of situation
as they are in ?
I think she's doing very well considering all the negativity she's had to endure. I hope she's thick skinned enough to cope with it.
I think about what George said at home about "all the people he cared about were in a good place at the moment" and he was thankful for that.
I don't like to think that any negative vibes on here would change
that for him. That's all I want to say.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
Pari are you trying to say that there are people on this forum that are disguising themselves as fans when really they are working for Stacy and writing posts that make her seem good or in love with George?? If this is what you are saying then maybe you are right but most of us on here have our own minds and make our own decisions about how we feel about George and Stacy. I personally don't like Stacy's image and feel it has impacted George negatively but George is a big boy and he knows what the deal is in any of his relationships. If he knows that stacy is using him for money and fame and choses to allow it then its on him, not anyone on COH. Just because people say nice things about Stacy doesn't mean they are not true George fans and that they are working for Stacy. Some people like her some people don't. If George is getting hurt then he knows how to get out of the situation, if the relationship works for him in some way then it's his right for him to stay in it.
Maybe I am completely off base by what your are implying in your posts, who knows??

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part six
The next mrs clooney wrote:I know people will hate me for saying this, but I really think Stacy played a part in George's loss.
I agree...not about the mom though, that would have been too late, the votes are cast, cards are printed and the envelopes are sealed and stored in a vault in a bank weeks and weeks before the event, so bringing her mom would not have helped him; being single and concentrating on his work...both professional and humanitarian for months before the event would have helped a great deal; however you can't blame Stacey, it's George's choice and she just enjoys the ride.

So if someone says something slightly positive about Stacy and George's relationship that person is in fact an undercover mole working for a faceless PR team for Stacy ?
Is that what you are saying Pari ?
