Are we talking about ADD here? I think (at least I hope not). Yesterday I went to the kitchen to wash the breakfast dishes, remembered there were things in the fridge that had to be thrown out, saw that the garbage can was full, tied it up to be thrown out, then realized that the dishtowels had to be washed, but to fill up the washer I needed some more things to put in so I had to make my bed, put dirty sheets in washing machine, was out of clothes detergent, made a run for some. Got home, phone rang and I got involved in a loooong conversation.

To make a long story short, the garbage never got taken out, the sheets never got washed and the breakfast dishes never got done. I'm hoping this is not a typical day for me.

To me it's sounds like you did what you wanted to do, without having to think of someone else's needs,want's,desire's. So enjoy and don't feel guilty, you've earned it Cindigirl!

Oh thanks Lucy. So I'm not completely nuts? That's a comfort. Well, today's my birthday so I get to do whatever I want. I'm going to bring lunch to a friend of mine who currently has no kitchen because hers is being redone.

It's like a birthday for me today. Grand son and family went home this morning. What a week. Just worn out. Gonna just sit a veg for a while. After all the Christmas hubbub, did it all again NY eve so family could meet grandson's wife and see the baby. Had full house every day for a week. Now I need my quiet time. So used to being alone, it became choatic. Well it's over now. Loved seeing them, but a week of constant go, go, go was too much. Hate getting old and crotchety. It's a bitch.

Read through-there is a moral to this story which might apply to George:

On the farm lived a chicken and a horse - both of whom loved to play together. One day the two were playing, when the horse fell into a bog and began to sink. Scared for his life, the horse whinnied for the chicken to go get the farmer for help!

Off the chicken ran, back to the farm.. Arriving at the farm, he searched and searched for the farmer, but to no avail, for he had gone to town with the only tractor. Running around, the chicken spied the farmer's new Harley. Finding the keys in the ignition, the chicken sped off with a length of rope hoping he still had time to save his friend's life.

Back at the bog, the horse was surprised, but happy, to see the chicken arrive on the shiny Harley, and he managed to get hold of the loop of rope the chicken had tossed him.
After tying the other end to the rear bumper of the farmer's bike, the chicken then drove slowly forward and, with the aid of the powerful bike, rescued the horse!

Happy and proud, the chicken rode the Harley back to the farmhouse, and the farmer was none the wiser when he returned. The friendship between the two animals was cemented: Best Buddies, Best Pals.

A few weeks later, the chicken fell in to a mud pit, and soon, he too, began to sink and cried out to the horse to save his life! The horse thought a moment, walked over, and straddled the large puddle.

Looking underneath, he told the chicken to grab his
rather large hangy-down thingy and he would then lift him out of the pit. The chicken got a good grip, and the horse pulled him up and out, saving his life.

The moral of the story.... Well, you knew there was a moral didn't you?

Fairy Tale for 2012

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?"

The girl said: "NO!"

Then the girl went shopping, dancing, and traveling.

She drank martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook, went anywhere she wanted and didn't have to call home.

Never had pointless arguments, ate lots of ice cream,
watched anything she wanted on TV, had many lovers ... or not, and didn't share her money with anyone.

She had all the hot water to herself and the whole bed too.
She didn't have to listen to snoring or farting or
burping. . .phew!

She went to the theater, never watched sports, never wore lacy lingerie that went up her butt, and never cried or yelled simply out of frustration.

She read all those books by her bed and she sat in the sun
and drank iced tea.
She felt fabulous in sweat pants and wore them
until they fell apart.

She smiled and laughed and was pleasant all the time!

And ... the girl lived happily forever-after.

A farmer named Stan was overseeing his stock in a remote moorland pasture in North Yorkshire, England, when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASApage on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility
in Hamburg, Germany .

Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored.

He then accesses an MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer, turns to the farmer and says,
"You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves,"
says Stan.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the back of his car.

Then Stan says to the young man,
"Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is,
will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says,
"Okay, why not?"

"You're a Member of Parliament for our Government", says Stan.

"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you

you want to get paid for an answer I already knew,
to a question I never asked.

You used millions of pounds worth of equipment trying to
show me how much smarter than me you are;
and you don't know a thing about how working people

Oh no, that was my favourite all-time joke, the one I always trot out at dinner parties and reliably gets me a laugh every time.

The only difference is the version I know is about a blonde who dyes her hair. At the end the farmer says, "If I can guess your natural hair colour can I have my dog back?".

Joanna - I think George's (non)favorite video is "2 Girls 1 Cup". After he was asked if he wanted to see it he said OK and the video pretty much made him run from the room. As curious as I am I pulled up the video and it was ghastly. I think I threw up on my mouth. LOL

LOL! I think that video would qualify as his least favourite! He'd never seen it before the journalist told him about it then hardly watched it before leaving the room.

Haha Katie - and he thought he was just going to be treated with seeing big boobs. Serves him right for being so pervie. LOL
