Lucy, my internal clock goes off every morning at 0 dark 30, 7 days a week! It certainly pisses me off!! The heat is a factor too! Supposed to get into 90s today and 100 tomorrow. I'll be heading to the North Pole real soon. I think Santa needs some seasonal help!

Mel IT was 107 here in Dallas yesterday we've had so many over 100 days this summer we are setting records. By 5:00pm it's almost 90 inside my house and that's with 1 outdoor ac, 2 window units, fans through out house and all blinds and curtains shut!

Lucy, OMG - Sorry about that. Before I got central AC my condo would get that hot too. To survive, I got into a cold shower with all my clothes on. That helped!

Thanks cindigirl, I spend most of the day inside one of the rooms with a window unit it's only in low 70's but as soon as you open the door and walk out it's like stepping into a oven. You have to do everything before 10:00 am or after 8:00pm. can't wait for Oct. Georges movies are coming out and it will be cooler!!!!

Lucy I have a gf who lives in Frisco, TX (north of Dallas). I'm sure she's going through the same thing. It never gets that hot here on the east coast, because we are near to the Atlantic Ocean. Hang in there and think about the cold shower or bath. Don't want you to get heat exhaustion.

I will send some cool thoughts your way. It is winter here in Oz and it is freezing. Even the carpet gets cold here of a night it has been dropping down to zero and because I live so close to the sea it seems even colder! I prefer it over summer though easier to keep warm then trying to cool off. I do the cold shower thing too usually right before bed.

That would be no fun at all!
BTW I like your new title "Training to be Mrs. Clooney." Now really, you know you don't want that title. You have too much respect for yourself. LOL

Guess it would take being single for awhile to miss male co. My marriage isn't your traditional we have moved and traveled together, and also lived apart, me with the kids, him with his work! For awhile during our kids school life people actually thought I was a single mom, there's that time when you just have to stop moving the kids and let them settle down in one place. LOL TMI

I live in an old apartment in Boston. I love old apartments/houses, but then I have to deal with the fact we have no A/C, . Oh well...
It's sad it is over, but I loved it, I think I have to go to Universal in Florida and drink some butter beer!

I heard (I think it was on ET) that the author J.K. Rowling was so impressed with the latest HP film that she's thinking of pursuing the story.

Yes, I would definitely like to fall at his feet. Just wouldn't want to be married to him. Truth be told, if you take their money you have to take their crap. And I wouldn't want to have to hide in an "armoir" during a fight. Just sayin.

I would have not bought our house if it didn't have central air. I hate extreme heat. Yes, it gets hot in Canada.
HP is too much of a money maker to shut it down completely. I heard she may pick up the story when his kids are older.
I'd love to go to Universal to see the HP stuff!!

Re: general chitchat july
Hi Mel, I hope I didn't sound snarky in my post before. Was in a bad mood, had a bad day. I got in my car and the '"idiot Light" on the dashboard said empty. I drove to the gas station with my heart in my mouth, put in $20 worth of gas (which I couldn't spare) thinking someone drained my tank. Turned the car off and on and it turned out it wasn't empty. I think it was just the heat, 93 degrees, which caused this light to go on. The term "idiot light" is correctly named. Again, I apologize for my statement.

OMG Cindigirl!!!!!! No, no, no, no - you were not being snarky and I didn't read it that way. I was just being a smart-ass!!! No need to apologize!!!
I hate cars! Yes, I have one, and knock on wood, no problems with it, but I had one car with the most idiot idiot light known to man. I hope it's okay and that YOU'RE okay!!!!

Thank for that Mel. No, I"m OK, I have a way of laughing these things off after awhile. "Idiot" also told me I was out of oil and my brakes were failing. I long the the old fashioned car that didn't scare the hell out of you. LOL

Okay, I’m going to tell on myself just this once. I had the same experience where I thought I was out of gas and someone drained my tank. I was even worried if I’d make it to the gas station. Made it there, filled up and headed back home. While driving, I looked down and realized I was looking at the temp gauge. Yep, go ahead, slap my head with a BIG loser L!

Don't feel bad about check engine lights, have a 2004 Aveo(LEMON) we have put 3 rebuilt engines in the piece of crap! Keep blaming my kids, my son went on some website that gives you all the low down turns out 2 of the biggest problems/customer complaints are electrical dash lights coming on when nothing is wrong or lights not coming on when something is wrong, then the engines going bad! You would be surprized all the info on makes and modles, I will never buy a car again without research.

haha!
We're all had moments like that. Like the time I ran out of gas on my bike in front of a packed patio and had to walk 20 minutes to a gas station. Embarrassing, especially when I came back to hear all the jokes and comments from the drunk patrons.
