All growed up but only behave like adults when with outsiders. Still my kids and I still want to bang heads sometimes. They constantly needle each other and then I get "Maaaaaa". Kids never grow up inside a family. Love them all to death, though. Fortunately, I don't often get them in full doses. Live all over US. Birthday coming up, will only see 4 + grands. But these four are the ball-breakers. Should be fun. Instead of Happy Birthday, I'll be getting "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".

Just wondering. Is that your home computer or your "at work" computer? If work, then it would make for a very unproductive day. If home, it wouldn't matter so much, there is always time for a break from Gee to do some work. My avatar is my desktop and laptop wallpaper. It amuses outsiders but tough cookies.

cindigirl, I don't know if you were adressing anyone in particular or all of us. my friends don't really make fun of me because they have their own celebrity crushes. The hubby just rolls his eyes, he thinks G is old, so he doesn't get the attraction. But he humors me, anyway.

Answer, The only ones that know are my kids (not all but most) and their kids, of course. My daughters tease me about their gorgeous "stepfather", and some of the grands (girls) giggle when they see it, but otherwise, not so much. The boys think I'm nuts.

Funny thing - growing up, I never had a movie star crush. Not as an adult either. Never needed one, had my husband. Now (maybe second childhood) it's changed. George somehow seems more human than any of the others ever did. Bad, huh!

Glad you don't get stressed at home. I don't either, but part of that is the computer. It is my relaxer, aside from reading. My husband bought me my first computer when Radio Shack have the only affordable (w/7kids) one. First I had was to COCO (I know I'm dating myself, but I am as old as dirt. ) Used to burn dinner on occasion when I really got engrossed. Now I get engrossed in George, and Clooney Open House but don't worry about burning dinner, just take a break when I get hungry.

Pattigirl thanks for the positive post above about my family. I'm sure they love me even though they KNOW I'm bonkers. I'm always good for a laugh with them. I too rely on this forum for laughs from you good ladies. I'm currently not working and this is fun for me.

I'm not that big of a fan so no one teases me.

Since this is the general chit chat section, can I just say that I am officially OVAH summer. It is 7:30 pm and my outdoor thermometer still says 104! I'm tired of constantly feeling like I need a cold shower, my car's seatbelt can be used as a branding iron, my pool feels like bath water and my daughter and I have come close to being bored to death a few times because it's too damn hot to go outside and do anything. Ugghhh!!! Ok,rant over.

If you need me, I'll be packing my shit and moving to the North Pole.

True story - when my computer crashed and I had a GeekSquad guy over, he witnessed my little "shrine to George" area around my computer (George calendar on the wall, George mug on my table, George screensaver, etc.) The Geek was so very young, and giggled like a little girl when he saw everything, BUT, he said that he was at a lady's house the other week and she had George plastered on one wall in her computer room and on the other wall was Brad Pitt. She just explained "sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't." When I asked which one was the nut, he told me she said George was the nut. So, apparently there are those worse than me...

Melbert, I don't have any of that. Just few dvd's and one of them (The perfect storm)was a gift.

We won't even get started on my collection of VCR and DVDs. But, those weren't in plain site for him to see. lol

Thanks Katie. I'll get the hang of this yet. Really enjoying this. Told my daughter I'd joined you girls and OH, the look I got. Had to explain it was only girls chatting about George.
