Guest Charlie Rose, who makes an appearance in the upcoming George Clooney political drama, “The Ides of March,” said he’s headed to the Venice Film Festival as Clooney’s guest when the movie opens the fest, Aug. 31.

Again with the sources! You have to know these sources are not George's friends. His friends are fiercely loyal to him, just as he is to them. So, I would discount anything they say.

Just and idea: If George was dating SK to keep EC away, wouldn't it be the easiest thing to be seen with SK in public to show everybody that there is no chance he would get back with EC?
Instead, we see pictures of George out and about with his friends, but without SK. Could this be his way of telling us that he is NOT dating SK (anymore)?

It is strange for him to make it look real then he needs to be seen with Stacy. I do think the breakup was messy and I thought that maybe George was using Stacy to fend off any more of Eli's stocking George's fridge stories. But to have a pal of George's saying it isn't exactly a smart move of course it could be Ted playing games as well. It is confusing but with George being in another country most of the time it does raise questions about the relationship with Stacy!

IMO in this sense "talking" means that George just wants his girlfriends to look pretty and be there when he needs them for a red carpet, booty call, or whatever and does not want to have to have too much conversation with them.

While i'm not sure I credit this story, I do believe people who know George do talk to the press. I also suspect E! are totally in Stan's pay because of the few times they've covered up for George in the past.

Sources could be just about anyone who knows George and I think he knows a lot of people. It doesn't have to be one of 'the boys' who's doing the talking.

I agree Katie, but they never give it as a personal opinion, rather as gospel. I can't imagine George discussing his personal affairs with most of the people he knows. He isn't that forthcoming about his life and wouldn't expound to just anyone on what's happening. He's not a bragger who tells anyone who's willing to listen about who he's screwing or not, or who he's dating or not.

This George Clooney is in Italy, at his Lake Como home, a few days ago getting some down time before he opens the Venice Film Festival in The Ides of March which is then coming to Toronto for TIFF. As he directed and stars in the movie, he will be pushing it heavy through the fall, hoping for yet another Oscar run...concurrently with another feature, The Descendents, directed by Alexander Payne.

The photo agency says that the grey haired dude also pictured here is Jeff Bridges. I don't think it's Jeff Bridges. But I do think it's activist John Prendergrast who has worked closely with Clooney to raise awareness about the situation in Sudan and who was the object of Jane Bussmann's hilarious affection in her book The Worst Date Ever.

There has been no sign of George's new girlfriend Stacey Keibler. She was papped in LA on the weekend. And while she's also been shot arriving at his Hollywood home recently, I do wonder why she hasn't joined him in Italy. George is old school with his girls though. One of the benefits of dating obscure targets with low profile and few job prospects is that they're free to accompany him all the time, around the world, whenever he requires their services. A full time escort, if you will. Stacey, so far, doesn't seem to fit the template.

Am curious to know what the strategy will be around this as he moves into campaign season.

Lainey is usually sour about everybody. Only seems interested in the negative. He might not have given her access to him at one time or snubbed her. Who knows, as I've only seen negative stuff about most of the celebs she writes about (tears apart more like it)

Well, either she's still tweeting/bragging on her own, or George asked her to do that. Aug 21 is a Sunday. Anyone remember if that's the same Sunday she was papped driving in his driveway? However, according to George it always was watching a movie afterwards. This is the first time the "GTC" code has been publically mentioned.

IMHO - this one is a major famewh*re even if George did tell her to tweet.

Sources - LOL, you don't name your sources or else you lose them. I do believe "a close source or insider" is someone George told them to plant or leak something. However, one really has to read between the lines to figure out if its a real George source or something just made up to sell a gossip mag and only using the "source" code to make it look real.

Casey, Ted normally has an inside connection with George. Does make George out to be a wimp though not something The Boys would say. Katie may be right in that this particular source could be second hand (or even third) info and that's how the Source thought he/she understood the story. Truly only guessing though. Another thought, this "source" could be coming from the SK camp. And it seems George doesn't have a problem with "the leaks" so, IMHO, George is mum about the whole situation. LOL, keeps his name in the news.

The new girlfriend of George Clooney, Stacy Kleiber, already pushed to commit, according to several sources.

According to U.S. magazine In Touch, the former wrestler in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), aged 31, is in love with American actor and would be very different from his previous companions.

George Clooney, 50, is dating Stacey Kleiber recently, following his break with Elisabetta Canalis in June after two years of relationship.

"Stacy says they are in love," a friend revealed to the magazine, adding that the girl was "different" the former conquests Clooney.

It would be so enamored that she would often visit the actor at his home in Studio City, California. She does not sleep through the night at home, but think this will change soon.

"They have not spoken to live together, but think that this discussion will take place soon," the source she said.

Honestly, I’m not even sure George Clooney is still boning Stacy Keibler. Usually, when Clooney starts dating a girl, she gets the PR rollout pretty quickly. There will be a “What you need to know about Clooney’s new girl” piece in People Magazine, followed by glowing reports of how THIS is the girl who finally stole Clooney’s heart, followed quickly by a red carpet debut as a couple, because Clooney schedules his new relationships to coincide with his promotional schedule.
