Elisabetta Canalis - girlfriend 2009 - 2011

Not so sure she would want to leave the other girl in Italy getting lots of publicity.

She’s back in the acting biz, and Elisabetta Canalis recently made her return debut on “Leverage”.

In a sneak peek of an upcoming episode, the girlfriend of George Clooney reprises her role as “The Italian” in which she is in fear for her life and must be rescued.

For all of you “Leverage” fans, in the upcoming episode, the team infiltrates a Department of Defense research lab in order to take down Damien and stop him from murdering a brilliant engineer and auctioning off her work to international terrorists.

The episode airs Sunday December 19 at 9pm on TNT.

I know none of us want to deny anyone to make a living, but let's hope its in Italy and/or Europe.

George Clooney's new Italian girlfriend, actress Elisabetta Canalis, turns out to be a bit of a bad girl! The 30-year-old stunner shows off an band of roses inked around her right arm, as well as her most recent addition, "I'll never walk alone" on her left forearm. Apparently, Canalis has a number of designs hidden as well ... but those are just for George.

The two-part season finale of "Leverage"-- the TNT series that films on location in Portland and environs -- aired Sunday night, giving viewers various bits of info:

1) Portland can pass not just for the usual location of Boston, but also a fictional European outpost called "San Lorenzo."

2) We finally met the season's big baddie, a shady financier named Damien Moreau. Even though he loomed over the third season like some evil uber-crook, he actually seemed rather suave and debonair. Perhaps my judgment is clouded by the fact that Moreau was played by "ER" veteran Goran Visnjic, who was looking mighty fine. And his performance was enjoyable, too. Ahem. (Side note: if you haven't seen Visnjic in the movie, "The Deep End," rent it; the movie's compelling, and he's darned good in it. And mighty fine.)

3) We learned that our "Leverage" team tough guy, the quick-with-his-fists, long-with-his-hair Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane) had worked for Moreau in the past. And done very, very bad things. But we forgive him.

4) We also noticed that the interior of the official government hall (or whatever) of San Lorenzo looks remarkably like the lobby of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. And the Governor Hotel -- so regularly featured, it practically deserves its own onscreen billing -- also popped up again. As did the downtown Portland park blocks, where we happened to visit the cast and crew as they shot the scene in which Eliot reveals his past connection with Moreau. Go ahead, and read all about that visit.

5) You know how, all season, the character known as "The Italian" -- a mysterious woman with an accent thicker than a double-order of lasagna -- was a little confusing? And the beauty who played her -- Elisabetta Canalis, aka George Clooney's girlfriend -- had trouble both with her English and her acting? Yeah, none of that got any better in the finale. "The Italian" was still confusing, and Canalis' English language skills (it was a relief when she evidently threw in the pasta towel and just spoke Italian for a few lines) and acting were still nothing to write Rome about.

6) Finally, there was the ending, in which Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton) and partner in con-gaming, Sophie (Gina Bellman) are discovered together. In bed. Hey-o! Is this "Leverage" or "Friends"? Shades of Chandler and Monica. We'll see how this all plays out in season four, which will again be filming in Portland.

Why George Might Wanna Keep Elisabetta Around

We all know that George Clooney’s a touchy subject. Ladies (and some guys) wants to date him, guys (and some ladies) want to be him, and any time he’s linked with a lady-friend (or guy pal) for longer than ten seconds, the media’s claws come out. In a way, he’s sort of the universal ex; if you’re not good enough for him, then no one is.

With that in mind, it’s no wonder that everyone’s been trying to dig up dirt on hot Italian model-turned-actress Elisabetta Canalis. She and Clooney started dating last year, and ever since then, it’s been “she sucks” this and “bad influence” that. The latest accusations tie her to a cocaine/prostitution ring, but while it’s all very sensational, the link is tenuous at best. The couple still claims to be head-over-heels for each other. With all this drama, can Canalis and Clooney make things work? Moonit’s ready to find out.

According to their birth date analysis, George (born on May 6, 1961) “might want to keep” Elisabetta (born on September 12, 1978) around. In spite of all the haters who are trying to bring Elisabetta down, it looks like she’s not such an albatross after all. Their reading urges George to “tell his friends to stop worrying, because this relationship is well worth his time.” And goes on to say that, “these two have a ton of potential to not only play well but also work well together, and their combined energy is through the roof.”

Sounds pretty good, right?
