I'm not quite so sure they are still friends. In the past there have been at least 1 photo every summer when the Bros have been to Lake Como. Last year nothing. And, at the Roman FF, it appears George never hooked up with the Bros. Also, the big article that M went to George's Rome hotel and EC claims that George didn't want to talk to him.

I don't think that Malenotti and george are still friends, today, otherwise we would have seen pics of them together, plus Malenotti has been with him several times on vacation BEFORE george goes with canalis. And suddenly no more vacation together. Bizarre non?
So IF Malenotti is still said to be the best friend of george, why isn't he with him to comfort george...etc instead of doing interviews to tell the world all the bullsh*ts we already knew and who have no interest. Which George's best friend would do such a thing? NONE OF THEM!

She’s not very bright, she likes having her picture taken, she’s a famewhore and a hustler, and Clooney is worried enough about what she might say that he and his team are releasing information about their breakup. I don't think money is the issue for Betty. As long as she is getting attention and "working" in some context, she will be fine and will play the game of being reasonably silent about George but still trade on the association for as long as possible. Because you know she thinks she is globally famous and special all on her own.... Now if the pap attention stops and she becomes irrelevant to the press and is getting ignored by them (like we expect when she returns to LA after the summer), then we might see some fireworks.

Seriously I don't think that she has left the restaurant by crying because of George. By seeing the pics of her on the boat all smile she is not upset by what happened IMO.

On the other thread with articles about the split it just said that she lost one of her advertising campaigns. Maybe that's what she was told on the phone?

Wait, they are going to put out an ad in the papers over the next few days thanking her for the work done as the face of their line but she is adios? Well that's one way to trade on the split and get a a bit of attention. Lancia got named in the articles as the car she was driving when she left the villa so I guess no reason why these people won't want to throw their name into the mix to get a bit of free publicity out of her before all the hoopla dies down.

First of her contracts to go post-George??? So the jewellery line is done. Their website mentioned that decked her out in jewellery for San Remo and ran some ads in the mags in Feb and March so I think that was the extent of the 2011 involvement. I think the Cavalli contract was completed after the Cannes publicity promotion (as she was fronting up at other designer's shows and walking for another). Her three year contract with Hollywood Milano finished with last year's ads and whist we have heard nothing about her re-signing with them. And I doubt she would re-sign as it was their club that is at the centre of the coke/hooker scandal and ongoing legal action that her name got dragged into. Are they still working or was the fashion house shut down?

Now will Lancia, Ferroro, Screen haircare and the portugese coffee people hang around to renew and keep her as their 'spokesperson' now that George is off the scene or will they all turn out to be one-off jobs?

Is the demand there to the that level for her in Italy on her own or was the work predominantly due to the association? Is she going to have to step up the famewhoring to keep her name in the press to keep her income coming in (not that her bank balance needs it but the puppies need treats)?

I doubt it before George she didn't have that much work on the cards and with her performance on San Remo I don't see anyone really lining up. Looks like Cavalli is done with her guess she must have let him know things wouldnt be so rosy and George wouldn't be around to link her to the next year. She couldn't have worked for another designer if she still had a contract with him we haven't even seen her in anyone else's clothes since George. She wouldn't need the cash so she may not care for the moment and she does have that big project which no one but her knows about. I am wondering if it is a reality show they are being very quiet about it...or it could be a shop with some bad clothes! I'm sure we will find out.

That is just weird. She would have been on the boat when the interviewer was around. She was there she went to the party with him and modeled on the boat. Clearly Eli didn't make much of a impression to be so forgotten so fast!

Lelacorb - her contract with Donna Ono started in September 2009 (probably signed the month before) - two months afte she hooked up with George. The 2009 campaign (at the start of the year) starred Giuliano Brenna. Attached is a link to the backstage filming of the 2009 ad .

After the George hookup went global, Donna Oro hitched their wagon to Betty to be the face of their company. Her first appearance for the company was at a jewellery show/fair in Italy in Sept 2009. The print ads for the gig turned up in Flair magazine (Italy) in October and November 2009.

Below is an article disucssing Betty as the new face of Donna Ono. Note the date of the piece - 13/9/09. It refers to her on the red carpet at Venice with George. She signed with them after she first hooked up with George. No issue with that but let's not go re-writing history as if all the work she has gotten over the past two years was because they were desperately knocking on her door as if she was in great demand. They were interested in the press that came with who she was dating - much like Cavalli. I'm not a fan of the jewellery (looks too costume for me) but they seemed to always make her look good in the advertisements.
