I'm reading the magazine "Chi" and frankly in an interview
it does not say that could never be with someone that every
day he says he does not want to marry or have a child with her because
that person would feel a little elegant. She claims to believe in
marriage as an example because he has his parents but that does not need
for confirmation of his love for children has not yet
the maternal instinct but it is said that sooner or later will ,not one
word that it is ready to marry.

I would suspect that he would have total control on what she does and says. Maybe he's using her to confuse the media on what's going on with them.

Sandwiches, that's exactly what he's doing. Think of it, he remains in the media and doesn't have to do anything himself. No promotions, no interviews, not even a lousy picture.

I'm willing to bet he's laughing at all this attention. Again, "don't let it get in the way of a good story." He's pretty cagey our George.

I agree with Doris Day. She wasn't talking about her situation with G. Who knows the reason why she gives all these interviews. He must agree to them all. Maybe if she agrees to live quietly and invisibly with him, he doesn't mind her being in all the weekly tabloid magazines in Europe to up her profile. Perhaps, at home, they are happy. Not a fairytale, but comfortable. Doris Day is right. No one is holding a gun to his head and she is still around. He said recently they were together as far as he could see, which has given her more rope to continue making silly statements about the state of their happiness. I wish she wouldn't, but there you go. I feel sorry for her. It's not a good place to be where people second guess your love life. All these interviews and for what. She is ridiculed. If George would come out and say he loves her, she is his steady partner, or be photographed with her again her interviews would be more credible. Poor Eli. She doesnt need his attention in private. She needs lots of pda to validate her celebrity status and George isn't playing.

People, the "soon I am going to marry George" thread comes from the headline of the article above, posted by Socimar. Eli didn't say "I am going to marry George". This quote is not on Chi's interview.

I can understand why you would think we would be jealous of Betty. Maybe some people are. I am not. Even for a week, a month, a day. I would miss my status as a private person. I think you have to be a certain type to blatently blab double talk to the media like she does.

It is not a wrong translation. I am Italian too and I can read and translate well. This is one of the titles of the two articles in other websites that were written as a follow up to the interview in "CHI"

Imo no one thought she said she was going to marry George, we were just being sarcastic about the topic of thread.

It could be but the titles in Italy quote Elisabetta Canalis as saying: PRESTO SPOSERO' GEORGE which literally translates into: SOON I WILL MARRY GEORGE

With all due respect socimar, "soon I will marry George" is a lot different than "I am marrying George." Sounds like a bit of assumption to me.

Title is correct, translation is correct. Eli said "marriage is in my future" and they misread and twisted in "soon I'm going to marry George"

“George & Elisabetta On The Rocks!” exclaims a headline from In Touch, which goes on to claim, “George Clooney has fallen out of love with Elisabetta Canalis.”

The tab then quotes a so-called “friend of the actor,” who says that after two years of dating, “They’re taking a break… They both seem ready to move on.”

In Touch bolsters its argument by noting, “The once-happy pair hasn’t been spotted in public together since early May, when they celebrated George’s 50th birthday.”

According to the magazine, “George’s commitmentphobia was likely a factor in the split.”

“Elisabetta is one of the most beautiful women on the planet,” adds In Touch, ”but apparently that still wasn’t enough to hold fickle George’s attention.”

Clooney’s supposed “friend” concludes, “The spark between them is gone.”

Despite In Touch’s assertion that Clooney and Canalis are “taking a break” and have “split,” the couple is very much together.

And while the magazine may not have seen the two since May — which was just a little more than a week ago — certainly the paparazzi have. Clooney and Canalis were photographed together today in Milan.

Oops.

“The truth is George and Elisabetta are in Como together,” the actor’s rep tells Gossip Cop. “They [In Touch] would have known that if they had done their homework.”

Once again, In Touch gets an “F” in reporting.

Imo, I think someone is definitely playing a game here. First, a leak to Ted and now to In Touch. What this is all about, I don't know, but something is going on.

I read the article on La Provincia di Como (Como's local newspaper) dated Wednesday, June 8, 2011 where they say that there is a "rumor" that Clooney&Canalis arrived last weekend but nobody has seen them yet, no little dinners at George's favorite restaurant, no drives on his Harley or motorboat. I translated the whole article on another link (can't remember which one).

I found it, here it is:

LAGLIO. Do they love each other or is it over? In these past few weeks the gossip sites have fed us real (or supposed) news regarding the love story of Clooney&Canalis. It has also being said that in spite of everything the two have arrived at Villa Oleandra last weekend and probably because of bad weather nobody has seen them yet. Very difficult to establish then if the Lake of Como has been chosen as a "breakup" or "reconciliation" site. The feeling here is that their love story has reached its lowest point and it seems that in the villa each of them lives a separate life. There is also the mystery of why, beside the main building, the annex has also been opened since at the moment, there would be only two people there, George and Eli? According to the magazine "CHI" there could be a large dinner party and hence the reason why the annex was opened. What is there to celebrate, nobody knows. A wedding? Not probable since Clooney continues to declare that he is allergic to weddings.
Accoding to Eli, this is not true, it is a pure invention of the newspapers. A few weeks ago she has declared to Alfonso Signorini that "my boyfriend has not released an interview since 1999 so what you read is old and recycled from past interviews. I could never live with someone like that, with no class someone who when he opens his mouth says he does not want a child with me or that he does not want to marry me. It is NOT true.
Still regarding weddings, Canalis continues: " I do not place limits to fate, who knows? I am very religious and believe in marriage, it is there in the future for me but at this very moment I am happy the way things are and I do not need any confirmation to the happiness of my union (with George).
The only sad thing for her is to be away from Italy " I miss its warmth so every time I can return I am really happy."
As for the bad performance of San Remo she said " A few hours before the Festival my grandmother dies. I was very sad even if the stage, with its adrenaline, its rhythm helped me a lot. I could not be myself completely, didn't want to smile and I followed orders in a militarist way but my heart was aching.
Ok, now it would make sense to ask: but isn't it in times like these that a couple who is in love tries to do everything possible to be together and support each other? Does this happen ONLY to common mortals like us?
If the love story between C&C (Canalis & Clooney) should blossom we hope it is in Como to further promote the already well known nuptial tourism.

In a new interview with the Italian magazine Chi, Elisabetta Canalis opens up about her relationship with George Clooney.

"I am very happy at the moment - thanks to my man and my fairytale is continuing," she says. "We are a couple that never gets bored."

The 32-year-old native Italian, who has dated Clooney for two years, is well aware that others speculate if the two will ever say "I do."

"Whenever I see my picture in a magazine I know what is being written. They all say that I spend my time organizing parties and that my boyfriend does not want to marry me and be with me anymore" she says. "My boyfriend has not given an interview on his private life since 1999 - everything that you read is just a rehash of stuff that has been written in the past."

So does that mean Canalis hasn't given up hope on marrying her famous bachelor beau?

"I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am," she says. "I don't need anything to confirm how happy I am."

As for children, her "maternal instinct has not kicked in yet." However, she adds: "My mother says when it does, it will be like a lightening bolt."

Canalis, who's famous for her toned physique, isn't a fan of the unrealistic expectations magazines set for women. "I don't always have the stomach muscles I have and I get cellulite as well like everyone else," she admits. "I stay fit and I exercise, I go horse riding and I have discovered Asian food with rice and soya which keeps you in shape."

"Sometimes when I flick through a magazine and see these thin models I'm left wondering what effect they can have on an insecure person," she says. "But I say to girls: forget what you see in the magazines, that is a world which has nothing to do with reality, think of it as a cartoon. To prove it all you have to do is go out and see that men like healthy, fleshy real women.

Canalis is fleshy? In the PETA picture I could count every rib and protruding collarbone. Maybe she has put on weight since.

Clooney's longtime girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, recently told Italian magazine, Chi (via Us Weekly), that she does not plan on living the bachelorette life forever.

"I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am," she said.

But Canalis' optimism when it comes to beau, Clooney, doesn't mean that the Italian beauty, 32, is blind to Hollywood's resident heartthrob's reputation for keeping things casual.

George Clooney's girlfriend wants to get married.

Although the Hollywood heartthrob has vowed never to wed again after his first marriage to Talia Balsam ended in divorce in 1993, Italian TV presenter and model Elisabetta Canalis - who George has been dating for over two years - has revealed the actor is her ideal man and she would love to marry some day.

She told Italian magazine Chi: "I am very happy at the moment - thanks to my man and my fairytale is continuing. We are a couple that never gets bored.

Elisabetta is renowned for her fabulous figure but reveals she works hard to stay in shape.

The Italian blogs are shocked at Canalis interview in "CHI" and they think she is full of b..s. Unfortunately they have started to attack George now because they cannot figure out how someone like him is still with Canalis who was even defined as "NOT NORMAL". Below is a translation from a blog.

Stan is going to be busy. He is saying they are together but just about everyone else is questioning it. Sure did get Bette a lot of attention didn't it? Can't see him being happy or pleased about all this new wedding attention. Sounds more like Eli is telling George she is ready too bad George isn't. Could also be her paving the way for the split.
