I agree with you Louislane he needs to either get engaged or split. Clearly Eli is up for an engagement but George looks as happy as a man going to the dentist when he is with her. So I think he will split but not before Eli talks up the getting engaged. I'm wondering if the big dinner party is going to be made out to be some sort of engagement dinner by her friend at Chi! Remember the she got a white dress and it was for the award show and not a wedding story? George will stay quiet and let Stan do the denials, Eli is so good at making herself look foolish. Splitting right before Darfur would be great for him.

I expect it will be just as quick with the next one. I doubt she will be single too long she doesn't ever have seemed to have stayed on her own too long after a breakup. Problem for the next guy is living up to the lifestyle she has had with George.

I recall when Sarah and George showed up at the Met Gala, something seemed off there but Lainey thought he was is love, three weeks later, they were done. Here Betty looks in heaven (or extremely full of attitude) and George looks uncomfortable (IMO), the rest of the summer should be interesting.

I don't really want to buy into the "they are old shots" drama that is happaneing at JJ and I assume at IMDB but I do have to question that her outfits appear a bit different. Black on black, differences in the light - could be explained. But why in the shots with George and the ones of her smouting away on her own is she carrying clearly different handbags? Now maybe they grabbed some old shots to beef up the hotel pictures numbers but it does raise an eyebrow and question the integrity of the information putting put out there. Or maybe after they checked in, they went out to lunch and she changed top and handbag before they left?

Or he could be on his way/in to Darfur now and this is his smokescreen? Prior to these shots he hadn't been sighted in London for a while. Twitter went silent and those shots of him and Sandra where held for a handfful of days before being generally released to blogs and media outlets - maybe intentionally. Just an idea.

The photies of him with Sandra are in the paper today saying they have just started shooting Gravity in London......even though we know he's already been there for at least 3 weeks...

Maybe staying in the hotel is a freebie from the people he is doing the commercial for....

Casey- if that is his honest reasoning then maybe he should have a look at the people he allows into his life because that is on him. This relates to the gf's (Canalis in Milan - at hotel, Larson in Vegas - at hotel, probably the other too but there was less media attention pre-Larson) - if you don't trust them, why are you fucking them and having a relationship with them? If he chooses to surround himself with people that he doesn't trust or those who don't respect his privacy when not in a public forum or on display, then he needs to find better people. The only people that would record him without his consent are opportunistic types. But then to avoid that scenario, he would have to date a better quality woman who is not impressed by his job title, isn't desperate to be famous and has no interest in building a career through talent and hard work - you know, the generic standard Clooney type.

George isn't going to Darfur until July after John's wedding. I'm betting he will go to the wedding by himself if he goes at all cause not long after that they are due to go. Eli looks happy George not so happy or comfortable. I don't think this was his idea and clearly he doesn't want to play anymore. The not going to their houses etc shows he must know how badly he can pick them and after nearly two years with Eli he doesn't trust her enough to go to her place even for a night! She seems to have left alone so she might have been on the way to her new job or she was just dropping George off at the hotel!

Ok, I don't mean to sound harsh here, but I think we all need to get over this whole 'need a picture or it didn't happen' thing. According to that "logic" he wasn't in London filming for three weeks either.

He does go to places and doesn't get pictured. We've seen the proof. We actually saw that happen for three weeks in London, home to some of the fiercest paparazzi there are and all they got was three or four shots ONCE at the very end of his visit.

I've no idea whether or not he secretly goes to Milan and stays with Betty but let's not go calling each other liars just because there are no pictures, when we KNOW that it's perfectly possible for there not to be pictures.

Katiedot, Lelacorb seems pretty certain George secretely meets Eli in Milan. Now, I don't need a picture because it's not my business if they meet, but with all due respect I DO have doubts. Unless Lelacorb is a neighbor or a friend of Eli, how could be so secure? So I asked her for pictures It was just a joke.

The below timeline I came up with from the archives of pap shots from Just Jared. Their famewhoring makes it easy to determine where they are and when they are together (in the most general of sense). And that is why I ask when would they have the chance to hole up together at her place in Milan without anyone knowing? Sure they could in theory. No reason why they shouldn’t. They can easily avoid the press if they choose as we have seen this year but over the past six months they have either been papped together in locations other than Milan (prior to the most recent) or he has been on film sets where it is known where he is (not Milan). There hasn’t been a chance where they have both gone to ground for a period of time. With his work schedule being so well known and her joy in the attention from the paps, I only question when they had a chance. Not that it isn’t plausible to occur, I just can’t think of a period where they both have fallen off the radar at the same time when both weren’t working for the opportunity to present itself. The paps would know they were in town because when they are working, they don’t do discrete. Between their security, entourage, egos and smouting, they don’t go anywhere quietly.

I can’t pick a time period where George wasn’t working or undertaking humanitarian efforts to have had the opportunity to be at her place without the paps knowing. Because one of them is always doing something to get attention so we know when they are not in Italy (as their paps are hardcore with coverage of the two). Or we know he is on a film set in a country other than Italy. Which makes it hard to be shacking up at her place. Also logically, if they actually wanted to be alone together when in Italy, wouldn’t they be holed up at his place in Como where they have some level of privacy and staff who can cater to their whims so they don't have to go do the grocery shopping, put out the bins, etc which reduces the chance to be spotted by anyone.

What bothers me is the smaller (in white) title on the cover page:

It has actually made me want George and Betty to appear somewhere carrying a dated newspaper and showing lots of PDA (just to see the heads explode and what wacko explanation would be provided)

Also, in terms of photos, it takes what --15-20 seconds to enter a hotel? When I go places with my husband I might not even glance at him during that short period of time, much less have time to gaze at him adoringly.

Elisabetta Canalis is located in Como, to be precise in Laglio, a guest of her boyfriend George Clooney in Villa Olenadra. It 'been noticed while he was buying a phone shop in the historic center, in the company of a friend with whom he spoke in English. Now journalists and paparazzi were crowded outside the store. Impossible for her to escape the cameras and microphones. Has not given interviews, but merely to say that "Como is beautiful" and "I'm here on holiday. " Then he got in the car, but had diffocoltà out of the walled city. To gain the release has taken the restricted traffic zone against his hand. To be precise walked away from Piazza San Fedele Luini going past the no entry sign.

I think it probably takes a bit more than 15-20 seconds for them to get into a hotel. It looks like they are doing some meeting and greeting in those pics. Then there are the paps, handlers, pr etc.
I understand the not gazing adoringly into each others eyes going into a hotel, but we never see it.
I would expect, in a crowded situation like that:
1...he would take her hand and help her navigate through the group of people, not her always appearing to lead him.
2...I would think he would actually look at her some to make sure she is ok, to make sure some photographer, or anyone else, isn't three inches from her face, making her uncomfortable. I know she likes the attention, but I would still expect her "man" would want to protect and shield her to a degree.
3...It seems like there would be eye contact, interaction between the two of them...him pulling her over to meet someone, that look you give someone you know well that says "isn't this crazy just to get into a hotel" or that "are you thinking what I'm thinking look".
They just seem to barely know each other after all this time.

I just wanted to point out the oddness of the recent activities of George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis. It was just Wednesday when Eli’s Chi Magazine interview was released, and she seemed to be talking out of her magnificent Italian ass about how she sees herself getting married (HINT) and having babies (HINT) and how she and George are so amazing together, they never get bored (bondage) and… well, it all sounded a lot like a woman who was quite full of herself, and quite comfortable with pushing the “next step” issue with Clooney, publicly. Usually, this is exactly when he dumps ‘em. But we’ve said that so many times before, and honestly, I’ve completely accepted that Elisabetta has something “special” (HINT) that Clooney just can’t get enough of, and that she’s going to be around for the foreseeable future. Isn’t it weird then that this is the week that In Touch Weekly runs a big breakup report?

After two years spent romancing Italian TV star Elisabetta Canalis, George Clooney may soon be on the market again.

Of course, this is all in direct contrast from Elisabetta’s new quotes, fresh from the…er, horse’s mouth (sorry). According to Eli, they never get bored. They are living in a fairytale together, a fairytale likely involving sex so kinky, I don’t even know how to describe it.

To make matters more interesting, yesterday Eli and George were photographed very much together in Milan. Arm in arm. A very public signal, immediately after Eli’s interview went worldwide, that he’s cool with what she said, and that they are still together. Clooney‘s rep even went to Gossip Cop to deny ITW‘s story: “The truth is George and Elisabetta are in Como together. They [In Touch] would have known that if they had done their homework.”

You know what’s interesting, though? I swear this is the same breakup pattern that Clooney has used in the past, notably with that Sarah Larson chick. Didn’t he do something similar? There were weeks where no one saw them together, followed by speculation that they were over, followed by denials both formal and informal, and then BAM, split. I’m not saying that’s what happening here, because, obviously, Eli has proven herself the exception to the rule thus far. But it’s interesting. Am I alone in wondering to myself, “Hm… I wonder if she has some dirt on him?”

There are so many massive gaps in that timeline that he could have been in Milan at so many points. According to this, he was in Europe, and mostly Italy from July until November 2009. You really have evidence showing where he was for every single day for that entire five month stretch? No, of course not.

Truth is, he could have visited Milan for weekends or whenever for a day or two or three during that whole time an nobody would have been any the wiser.

Likewise for any of the dates he was in the area because Milan is less than two hour's flight from most places in Europe.

Don't forget that during this timeline he was also briefly in Germany - I don't think anyone knows why - and also spent time in a Swiss clinic, I think to get his hand seen to.

I'm not saying he did go to Milan and I'm not saying he didn't. I'm saying that there's no way to be sure either way.

George goes to ground often and we don't know where he is. How do we know he wasn't in Italy every weekend while filming in London? Or Helsinki for that matter? Or, I dunno, Moscow? Just because there aren't pictures doesn't mean he wasn't there.

@Bellybaby: why wouldn't Stan know? I work in PR and I'd like to know when my client appears in the media. It's not unreasonable for George to communicate with Stan and let him know he got papped. Who knows, perhaps George even asked Stan to arrange it?

And? She's no different from the others he's dated in the past. He's been with her for two years so she's obviously what he likes.

What I mean is all the trouble that she caused after splitting from her ex-boyfriends.

Don't know much about Italian TV, but the surprise could be anything, just a hook to draw in more viewers. I'd like to know more about the show, yes I know it is a cooking show and it is competitive. Will the people competing be Italian chefs, or is it going to be famous people from TV, film,music, celebrities. What is betta's job, co-host, judge?

I think I heard that she is actually cooking as part of a team competing with other teams made up of celebrity and non-celebrities. The show will only last 5 weeks.

You imply that he can easily slip into Milan without anyone knowing when he is in Europe – sure, he can. Did say that he couldn’t? No, not at all. With his resources and access to hire cars, private planes, decoys – he could do it in a heartbeat. But as to your argument that whilst filming Gravity, he could have easily slipped to Milan for the weekend with Betty and the world at large would be none the wiser. The three weeks he was in London, could he have spent the weekend in Milan? Sure (if he wasn’t filming) –but not with Betty. For the first weekend, she was in LA, the second one she was in Cannes then she turned up in London (media reports put her there having dinner with him) and the third weekend, she was at her friend’s wedding in Italy without George. So since you demand it of me, where is your example of a weekend where George and Betty could have holed up in her place in Milan for the weekend whilst he was in the process of filming Gravity? He was regularly spotted going to dinner and in hotels. Maybe all the sightings of him in London and Weybridge were false??? That all the people who saw him and tweeted or spoke to the press were lying and part of a cover-up to denounce his relationship? Please.

You state that during the filming of The American they could have easily stayed at her place without anyone knowing – no, actually they couldn’t have. They were papped every day as the relationship was new and she was the local girl that snagged the movie star. Travelling to set from his place in Como – the paps caught it. When she bought sea bass for the B&B they were staying in – the paps caught it. When she was on set – the paps caught it. When they went to the gym – the paps caught it. When George was on set – they caught it. George going to and from set – the paps caught it. When he went out for dinner – the paps caught it. Also the filming wasn’t in Milan so that kind of kills that argument with logic considering he was in Abruzzo, Sulmona and then Rome. During that filming, they were covered every day. This makes it hard to slip away and as her apartment is in a well known building to the paps, they would be hanging around. I mean the paps got her leaving her apartment block with her mother to go shopping, you think they wouldn’t have gotten George?

I made no argument as to pictures being any form of proof – I used the dates of pap shots as the base of my post that they were never in a position to be in Milan together as they were usually in different countries doing their own thing or they were together very publicly hamming it up for the paps on a red carpet or on one of his sets. She is predominantly in Italy for work (and the paps always get her due to the assumed tipping off) whilst he is in LA or Hawaii or middle America and whilst he is on set, she spends most of her down time in LA going to gym or in Cabo flaunting her ass so we know that SHE is not anywhere near Milan even if she is on location with him somewhere.

Just posting my opinion. Really tired of always being the one who is attacked here. Everyone else can write whatever they want but me, I get a bucket of scorn. If you don’t agree with my opinion – that’s fine. Ignore it. Scroll past it. Say to yourself – nope, don’t agree. Don’t tear my post apart for the sole reason that I posted it.
