I have already stated that this thread is for an update of what Elisabetta Canalis does and not for in-depth discussions about whether she's right or wrong in her choices.
Your arguments are boring and pointless. If you want to argue about her, find another site.
Enough.
I'm sick of you posters who can't speak nicely to each other and fight all the time. Basta! This thread is now closed because of your rudeness.
Katiedot :
it is clear that the closure is used to eliminate the forum of Elisabetta Canalis, because in this of Stacey Kleiber you speak and you commen everything that she does! But now I ask you to permanently delete my account from this site with moderators politically incorrect.

Re: Lifetime Picks Up Reality Series For Food Product Inventors Hosted By Stacy Keibler
What I mean, for instance, if you watch a show like Chopped, who has a host standing next to the judges just like this show, there isn't much for them to do. However, the Chopped host does have food knowlegde so he will discuss certain things with the judges. And the Chopped host does commentary while the folks are cooking the meals.
But if I'm not mistaken, Stacy doesn't do the (not sure what to call it) - the announcing or commentary during the food preparation and the branding segments so she's pretty limited in how much she participates.
I will give her this, I doubt I would have eaten a dried cricket like she did. In fact, she ate two. (Shades of Sarah Larson there...) (She ate the actual dried cricket, not the powered one.)
But I might have eaten the protein bars that contained the ground up crickets. Why? Cause if I'll eat a steak which is the side of some cow, and I'll eat a chicken breast, which is the chest of a chicken then why would I have any issue eating some dried cricket, especially since it's ground up into a fine powder and then mixed with the flour. If you didn't know there were crickets in there, you wouldn't even be able to tell.
One of the fitness coaches who were on the consumer panel that tasted the bars said the protein bar tasted like fudge. And since I'm a chocoholic, if it tastes like chocolate I'd probably eat it!!

Elisabetta got 2 years worth of free publicity on this site after her split from George, to compare that to updates on Stacy is ridiculous.

I mean folks into fashion probably aren't foodies too. Goes against the fact that if you're into designer duds you're going to need to be a size 2.
Watching a show about people making food probably wouldn't help that goal cause I know that every time I watch a food show I get hungry too!

Re: Lifetime Picks Up Reality Series For Food Product Inventors Hosted By Stacy Keibler
Supermarket has aired three episodes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarket_Superstar
Not defending Stacy so much as pointing out the reality of thousands of shows on hundreds of stations so judging a show's success in just three episodes is not really possible.
Oh and a couple other things - I found interestingly, that the person who irritates me the most on this show is not Stacy but instead, it's Debbie Fields (of Mrs. Fields Cookie fame). I don't know why just something about her irks me.
I like the Chef - he's intense and committed to trying to help these folks make their products better. The branding guy is good too. I like his suggestions to the contestants and the company they use to help them develop brands and packaging is pretty cool.
The buyer reminds me of some mafia guy - I'm expecting him to come out and say one day, "this product tastes like crap you need to die" and then kiss them on the cheek and walk away as a look of intense fear fills the contestant's face! And then the voice over says, "If only Joe had listened to the Chef and taken his advice to add that extra piece of chocolate."
But no, that's not the show so I'll just have to leave all that for my imaginary TV show! HA!
So my review is that if they changed out Mrs. Fields for some other food product success story they might do better. But that's just my opinion which isn't worth much anyway!

Oh yeah...Supermarket Superstar is now on opposite the last half hour of (TNA) Impact Wrestling.melbert wrote:

Anyway...CBS's The American Baking Competition had more drama than Supermarket Superstar; the male viewers (like myself) are watching just for Stacy and nothing but. And on American Baking Competition, the winner (which was Brian Emmett) receives $250,000 plus a publishing contract with Simon & Schuster (which is a division of CBS). Oh yeah...host Jeff Foxworthy got way more camera time than Stacy so far.
Nonetheless, viewership will still pick up.

Re: Lifetime Picks Up Reality Series For Food Product Inventors Hosted By Stacy Keibler
pandabear I'm just curious, other than the pre-recorded adverts for the show, what would you expect her to do about promoting it? I mean she does tweet to her followers about the show every week that it's aired.
Anyone who promotes a show or movie for that matter would do so based on budgets that are set aside for that promotion.
So the producing company or the distribution company (not sure which) would determine if she would be doing any promotion work as they would need to pay for her travel, interviews etc. But seriously, who's going to interview her NOW for this show?
It's a show on a cable network about food. I don't see that there's going to be a huge media interest now that she's no longer George's girlfriend.
And your comment could be posed to the rest of the participants in the show. I don't see Mrs. Fields out there promoting the show and doing interviews. Same with the chef. Expectations may be out of proportion to reality.

Yes, the number of viewers is up, but I think the point of moving it after Project Runway is to keep viewers from the lead in. Supermarket clearly failed to do that.Katiedot wrote:Not that I really care, but hasn't the viewership gone up since last week?watching wrote:

One was an avocado type dip, one a Jamaican sweet/hot dip and the last a Beer and Bacon spread.
They felt the Beer and Bacon Spread didn't have enough beer flavor so they tried to get the developer of the spread to add a flavoring, but she didn't. So the final product still didn't taste of the beer.
The Jamaican spread gal resisted almost all their suggestions.
And the Guacamole gal changed her recipe to reflect the comments of the chef. But I still think the judges thought her product too bland.
Don't know the outcome at this point but will interesting to see where this one goes.

That product is still in select A&P stores, which are all mainly in the Northeast U.S. I don't know how Smoogy sales have been doing since then, but within the next few years, I can see them popping up at other region-wide chains like Publix and Rouses and then, THEN, the big boys like Kroger and Safeway, who are the nation's two major supermarket chains.
The Chirp energy bars? Given its content, they'll probably end up at Whole Foods.
