She doesn't look like she's biking, she looks like she's doing a photoshoot. Cause if she were really biking in NYC she'd be wearing a bike helmet unless she's a total idiot! It's dangerous out there!

Yep, these surely aren't candid pictures caught by the paparazzi. I wonder who paid her for them? Vita juice, nike or the bike manufacturer?

I also wonder who would be dumb enough to see these pictures and think they were genuine?

Here she goes again with the fake photoshoots. Remember the last one she did in new York jogging?

Is she faking anything ? Just doing a job it seems to me !

To be honest, I find this deeply wrong. She's faking being caught by paparazzi out and about when it looks to me like she's being paid to promote the juice (or maybe it's the Nike or maybe the bike) and the photrapher was called in to get the shot. It's not just her doing wrong, it's the brand that put her up to it that I'm also angry with.

I've nothing against celebs promoting stuff; celebs like the money, brands like the exposure but I am against it done in such a ham fisted and misleading (one could say deceitful) way.

If you're being sold a product, you, the consumer, should be advised that you're being sold to. Ethically speaking, this disingenuous, "Oh look, I just happen to be holding a product in my hand that I've been paid to promote" pose is misleading. Celebs should advise if they've been paid to promote a product that they mention or endorse. And the product should either come forward and say they're running a promotion or stop this silly stunt and actually place an advert.

Obviously I can't say for certain that this is what's happening here, but I think it highly unlikely she just got caught by the paparazzi like that while holding a product like that.

ETA: how would you feel if I mentioned somewhere about a great brand of shampoo that I love and later you find out that I was paid to promote that shampoo? Posters would (rightfully) have a lot to say about that and I doubt any of it would be complimentary.

Same thing here. If she's advertising the juice, clothes, bike or whatever then fine. She's welcome to earn a living. It's the advertising but pretending she's not that I find unappetising. I do think George should be a little embarrassed by his girlfriend's behaviour.

Can I just say that I like Stace's vivid Nike top! She certainly knows how to stand out in a crowd!! Looks great against the yellow cabs!!!!

Obviously this is a product placement shoot. Other than the absense of a helmet, who rides a bike in the middle of a Manhattan street carrying a beverage. Actually, unless you've got some kind of a death wish going, who rides a bike in the middle of a Manhattan street amongst the taxis and cars? No offense meant but New York drivers are not known for their patience! People have been killed for less.

Katie, sadly I think this is the way advertising is going for a lot of companies. Product placement gone mad - twitter, editorial pix with sponsored circles around the item being worn by the 'celebrity' in a so-called editorial piece. And GC wouldn't be too worried about it given he's advised fellow actors how to get free Nike stuff. Really it's what they do with the money earned and if they can be seen to turn it around to good causes.

To be honest, I think this is far less harmful than all forms of marketing that go in childrens tv programmes, sweets at children's level in supermarkets, etc etc.

I think she is working I don't think anything else. Now the pics of her at the SUFC when she wanted everyone to know she had a ring on her left hand made a fool out of her and George. I like her I just wish she would think before she acts.

I think she looks so much better in workout clothes. It looked to me like she borrowed the Vera Wang .... Maybe from Odette Annable whom she was staying with? It looked too petite for Stacy, IMO.

Good for Stacy bike riding is really fun .

yes, on another thread "stacy at fashion week" (something like that). She's wearing red and looks very nice.

Mm, I think the same. She wore the same old band she's had for years on one hand with a cocktail ring on the other hand. No one could possibly mistake that for anything other than decorative jewellery.

Here's the thing with these pics, they are not a photo shoot for the products. This is a stunt by her PR team to try to elicit product endorsement deals for her. She is not being paid. Her PR team will be sending the pics to the trash mags etc for release in order to get her pictures out there wearing certain brands or drinking them in the hopes that the companies will see the pics and offer her endorsement deals. Some people think its a clever PR strategy others think it is just plain fake and cheesy. I have to agree with the latter. This Joanna is why she is being given a hard time because its not actually a photo shoot and she is not actually working for these companies just simply trying to get some kind of deal from them. Really proves that despite all her exposure she is still very much on the D-list to have to use these PR tactics.

Isn't it like someone in another field of work preparing their photo portfolio for CV purposes, in order to get paid work ?

Joanna I have worked in PR for years so that's how I know about this particular tactic. The shots are not pap shoots as you can tell by looking they are professionally staged right down to the make up. If she was on contract with Vita Cocoa she would not be wearing clothing where the brand could be seen and identified. As for the cheesy aspect of it I think its about the desperation it shows. There are ways to get endorsements without staging fake photo shoots, think of it like seeing a director out at dinner and walking up to him and acting out a scene from twighlight, not the thing to do. If someone is preparing a CV or portfolio that would be a compilation of the work they have done and their experience. This doesn't speak to any of those things. Is it important to create your own opportunities? yes, but this probably wont do anything and all it has done is get free advertising for Nike and Vita Cocoa. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free

I thought it was odd to have two different brands being shown in the same photo. It does kind of reek of a "Pick me! Pick me!" desperation. Doesn't seem like good strategy on her part. Why buy the cow, indeed.

I would pay good money to see Stacy, or anyone really, approach a director at dinner and act out a scene from Twilight.

It looks like all 3(Top, Shoes and drink) of the brand names are getting free exposure.

Her hair looks more to have dyed strands of dark reddish color, rather than dark brunette, to me. That isn't her natural color. her roots can still be seen and they look darker that than color.
