It's Halloween soon!! I'm going to attempt at making a costume for my dog for her Boston Terrier meet up party. I don't usually make costumes for my dog but this year there's a contest and the winning prize for the best homemade costume is hockey tickets. I want to win!! My poor dog.

Yes, zizi, it is sad news. Hopefully she will return soon. Unfortunately, we (generalizing here) all sometimes get a little hot under the collar over some of the posts in certain threads. As with all arguments, in time we reconcile our thoughts and come to the conclusion that the argument was really senseless and trivial. A few days away in order to cool off hopefully will be all that sisieq needs.

This is crazy - I'm sitting home today watching the snow come down like a blizzard. It is still October, isn't it? It's pretty and everything, but jeez. Wonder if this is a sign of the coming winter.

The snow is so heavy here that I can't see out of the window. Now they are talking about wind gusts of 40-50mph. There goes the power. This is going to be a very looooooong winter. Ugh!!!

We all complained about the heat this summer, so I guess this is nature's answer to our complaints, huh! I wouldn't care too much except supposed to go to Hartford CT (6-10" predicted) tomorrow to see grandson's significant other, Courter Simmons, in Jersey Boys. His final performances in National Company. He understudies Frankie Valli part and is playing the part today and tomorrow matinee. If this continues, probably won't be able to go. Damn, was looking forward to it, too. It was going to be a party, too. Courter's parents are in from the West Coast for it, and friends from CA and NY are supposed to be there too. My daughter and family came in from FL, too. We were to drive to CT to meet up with another daughter and her family and then on to Hartford. Guess it'll all depend on how roads are. Keeping the fingers crossed.

I'm sorry about your disappointment. Hope the snow clears up for you. If you do go, I wish you safe travels.

Still blizzard conditions here. Now I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to get out of my parking space. Once the plows come through I'll be buried. Should have backed in. Duh.

THE POPE AND THE HAIRDRESSER

A woman was at her hairdresser's getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband.. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded:

And the hotel was great! They'd just finished a $5 million remodeling job, and now it's a jewel, the finest hotel in the city. They, too, were overbooked, so they apologized and gave us their owner's suite at no extra charge!"

My friend in Albany sent me pics of a dusting of snow on her Halloween decorations the other day. I think they are saying 4-8in for them now. Crazy weather. We're just now getting the cooler fall weather down here so its always strange to hear about snow in October. lol I remember 4-5 years ago wearing short sleeves at Thanksgiving because it was near 80 degrees. I keep saying I'd make a fortune if I marketed Xmas tshirts and flip flops for people in the south. Lmao

The weather has been great here in Texas, I've gone almost a week without using any air cond. and no fans or heat. Yea for my electric bill, this won't last long it never does in Texas. Heard on the news a few days ago that it was 80 in Denver and 2 days later they had 3 feet of snow and thousands were without electric due to all the downed power lines. Crazy winter coming???

Crazy fall. Northeast had a snowstorm. We in NY area had only 2 inches but as you go north it gets much worse. MA got hit the worst, from what I hear.
Was supposed to go to Hartford CT today to see Jersey Boys (a family outing). Daughter and I left around 9 am, got about 1 hr. away and got call play cancelled today because of snow. We turned around, came back to SI and stopped for a nice breakfast.
One of my other daughters flew in from FL w/family. Actor's family flew in from CA. It was his final performance in National Co. and while his part is Joey (I think), he understudies Frankie Valli part and was going to be playing FV for today's matinee. So disappointed not to have seen it. He and my grandson are finally getting off the road, have moved to NY and he starts rehearsals for a part in new show which opens January, I think.

Oh, I'm so sorry you didn't get to see the play. What a disappointment.

I'm off to my daughter's today to stay overnight. They got a new puppy from a rescue group. An 8 week old puppy, named her Kasey. A puppy is a good way to get over greiving over a lost pet.

Have a fun time. A puppy is sure a fun way to help the grieving process.
I'm sorry I didn't get to see the play, was really looking forward to that and getting together with family. Some things were just not meant to be, I guess.

Sorry Pattygirl that your plans were snowed out. But, with them being in NYC, you'll be able to go to more performances!

Sorry your plans got snowed out Patty. We had an unbelievable snow fall. We got about 10 inches and had no power yesterday. We just got it back about two hours ago. A lot of people here are still out. We lost our fence in the backyard but fortunately no house damage. Two doors down from us a tree crashed into the front of the house. Roads here are closed with trees and hot wires all over the place. Happy Halloween, I guess
