I think somewhere .... someone was posting the question few days ago in a thread what if George would go there. Don't remember who that was.....

So I googled "Met Gala" to check what it means and Wikipedia explained this:

The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit. Each year's event celebrates the theme of that year's Costume Institute exhibition, and the exhibition sets the tone for the formal dress of the night since guest are expected to choose their fashion to match the theme of the exhibit. Each year the event also has honorary celebrity event day chairpersons.

So this is more like a Fashion Show?????? I hope George doesn't go.... (Even though I like to see new pics)

It was me who asked if they would attend. That is what I thought of when Amal met with Anna and the designer. I hope they do go the money goes to the Museum and it's a nice night just some fun. George took Sarah Larson to this Gala when they were together.

George took Sara when the theme was a tribute to movie costumes.

I think it's a nice way to end their stay here in New York something fun the exhibit should be interesting. There will probably people there that George knows.

Maybe it was more a specific movie costume theme than I remember, but I know there were more Hollywood folks there that year than usual.

Many thanks to Hathaross and Sevens. I tried watching the live feed but it was awful. When George and Amal finally showed up Tommy Hilfiger was in the way. Phooey! The photos you guys posted are great!

Billy Bush said they'll be covering the ball on Access Hollywood tomorrow, and he mentioned G&A specifically so maybe they got a quick interview.

I keep looking at these pictures and they both seem so comfortable with each other and genuinely happy in each other's company. They've got to be one of the best looking couples at the Met tonight.
