Thanks PA-N again. George looks soooo nice. Drink in hand. So George. I'm really looking forward to the show and specifically his speech Sunday night. Especially with all that has happened over the last month it will be interesting to hear what he will say and what he will choose not to bring up at all.

George Clooney Reception

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association celebrated George Clooney, the recipient of the 2015 Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at an intimate cocktail reception in honor of the actor-producer-director who already had 3 Golden Globes (and 11 nominations) to his name. Now Clooney is also the 62nd recipient of the honorary award bestowed by the HFPA since 1952 for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment. At the informal event in West Hollywood our members and HFPA president Theo Kingma toasted Clooney who also received a copy of “Cecil B. DeMille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic” from Cecilia DeMille Presley, granddaughter of the legendary director for whom the award is named. She co-authored the volume on his life and work with Mark A. Vieira. Clooney will be officially honored with the 2015 Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe® Awards on Sunday, January 11, 2015. The 2015 Golden Globe® Awards will air LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC with the pre-show from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (PST)/7:00-8:00 p.m. (EST), and main telecast from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (PST)/8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

George Clooney Dishes About Matt Damon, Amy Poehler & Tina Fey Prank on GMA

Continuing his media tour for The Monuments Men, George Clooney recently paid a promotional visit to ABC Studios in New York City.

The 52-year-old actor was in the house for an interview on Good Morning America, and the conversation inevitably turned to his much-talked-about prank on Matt Damon, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

George explained, “I sent [Fey] a letter on Matt Damon stationery that said, ‘Dear Tina, I may sound like a hypocrite because I laughed at the jokes about George and about Leo but they’re kind of known for that and, you know, when you called me a garbage man, you know, it really hurt me and my kid calls me a garbage man now.’”

From there, Fey and Poehler sent two fruit baskets to Damon with two notes. The first was apologetic and the second revealed they figured out the joke.

Clooney recalled the letter, saying, “If your note is part of some George Clooney prank, as I very strongly suspect it is, you A-list amateurs are going to have to step it the f— up. We are not some easily confused starlets here. We are grown-ass, professional comedians. Please accept this fruit as a token of our sincerity. Best wishes, Elizabeth Tina Fey, Amy ‘Boston’ Poehler.”

Meanwhile, during the Monuments Men filming process, George also got the best of Damon, explaining, “Matt was rushing to lose weight, and I’d have the wardrobe people take in his uniform every day, so that no matter how much he was losing, the clothes felt tight on him.”

George Clooney, who is due to receive the prestigious Cecil B DeMille award at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, met the legendary filmmaker’s granddaughter at a reception this week.

Cecilia DeMille Presley, who was with her grandfather on virtually every one of his film sets since she was three years old, surprised the actor by presenting him with the coffee table book Cecil B DeMille The Art of the Hollywood Epic which she co-wrote with Mark Vieira.

“He was flabbergasted,” she said. “He couldn’t believe what a beautiful book it is.”

In the lavish volume, which has an introduction by Martin Scorsese and a foreword by Brett Ratner, Ms. DeMille relates her grandfather’s thoughts on his various films and recalls her visits to his sets, including the Egyptian expedition to film The Ten Commandments.
“My grandfather would have loved George Clooney” she said.”He is fun, he has a wonderful sense of humour and he’s a good actor. What’s not to like about Clooney?”
The book was published to coincide with the 100th anniversary of DeMille’s first film, The Squaw Man, in 1914.
Coincidentally Ms DeMille was at the Golden Globes ceremony in 1954 when she presented Darryl Zanuck with the Cecil B. DeMille award when her grandfather was too ill to attend.
The reception, at Craig’s in West Hollywood, was held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in Clooney’s honour and to celebrate him being chosen as this year’s Cecil B DeMille award recipient.

I think the Clooneys will look fabulous on the red carpet. Not surprised George said Amal doesn't use a stylist. It has been said by those who know her she has always had a great sense of style. Quirky too. Now she just has a hell of a lot more money to spend on her style.

A stylist is someone that picks out your "look" - clothes, accessories, etc. A stylist isn't someone that does hair & make-up.
