By the time the night wound down, the spotlight shone on Roberts, who presented Clooney with the Stanley Kubrick Award for Excellence in Film.

"I rather famously don't have children," Clooney started, to laughter, "but I do have a family. And it's a family of actors and directors and of writers, and, god forbid, agents, and studios and journalists. People who love what they do."

Clooney's current pace is startling. Having just finished press for Gravity, the actor is now promoting August: Osage County (which he produced), finishing Monuments Men (which recently moved its release date to early next year) and shooting Tomorrowland.

"It's not sleeping," he said on the red carpet. "Monuments Men is a six-day-a-week gig. I have an editing bay next to me in Vancouver while I'm shooting Tomorrowland. It's been that kind of pace. But it's OK. It's what I do."

Strong bond & friendship between Julia & George. Very caring.

Don't know why she was barefoot on stage but in the Wireimage photos next to George she looks really petite without her heels (great shapely legs). Then when she puts them on, they're the same height.

So, true! Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, many more...they look like they're in their 20s. People are living much longer in developed nations.
Trends are changing and health, vitality & youthfulness are being preserved a lot longer.

Apparently His Nibs has an editing bay for Monuments Men next to him in Vancouver where he works six days a week while he films Tomorrowland...doesn't mind, it's what he does (paraphrasing)

However, I did not understand the story. Perhaps because English is not my native language. Can somebody explain please? I am trying to visualize elderly women's foot and corn. Is he speaking about corn as a plant/food or something else? It doesn't make sense to me...maybe this is American slang.

No Butterfly....a corn is a growth on a toe, usually
The smallest one. Usually caused by wearing shoes too tight or wrong size or shape for the foot.
They hurt too !

Ok, I googled it and corn is a buildup of dead skin. Horrible pictures of corn!
