George Clooney will be honored with the German Media Prize 2012th

The German Media Award has been annually bestowed since 1992 by the marketing research company Media Control in Baden-Baden on “outstanding individuals”.

I'm sure he is tired after trecking to LA for 3 days, the craziness of the oscars and the parties then heading back to Germany and loosing 9 hours in the process. I agree the award looks a bit tacky. But congrats George on another well deserved award.

I scrolled quickly past the photo of him holding the trophy, and thought it was a clown! That is quite a...unique award. It will definitely stand out on his mantel.

Attending this award event (especially with all the travel involved) more about garnering goodwill with the locals he will be shooting around for the next few months than anything else.
