Interesting (I thought) debate from the Celebitchy comments on this story: Do we think the "no sex for months" story was leaked by Stacy's camp, a pot shot due to unhappiness with her parting gifts, or George's peeps, in order to preempt the "another two year beard, I mean, girlfriend" stories? As in, we haven't had sex RECENTLY, but we totally did before.

I lean towards Stacy.

I lean towards common sense. Its difficult to have sex when you are continents apart.

I completely agree Missa this has Stacy written all over it. dont think anyone buys the amicable break up story. Stacy's in hiding leaking crap like this and pining over her lost life rubbing shoulders with a listers.

My paltry observations:

She's known for months that they were done. If not months, then certainly since planning time for Como hit, and she wasn't told to prepare. They haven't been continents apart for all of the past months; at times they were separated only by a driving day trip, train ride, or short plane hop. A lot of Stacy's time in Europe wasn't work. I think she put herself there to make it convenient for him to send for her, and he didn't bite.

And if the relationship was serious to her, she could have foregone some of the parties to be there with/for him when he did have down time. Not to be escorted out to dinner or shown around the set. Just being with him while he did what he loves.

The "no sex for months" came from someone in her camp. It's like Eli's "father figure" shot. (BTW, the rumor at the time of the EC breakup was that George did it in person and over the phone, and Eli refused to accept it; he made a public announcement so there was no recourse for her).

Stacy puts on a good show, and I'm sure she can be "one of the guys" in the let's-just-hang-out-and-have-fun kind of way, but there are very few thirtysomething never-married women who aren't thinking of settling down with the man they're dating, especially after 2 years.

The "they talk every day" line is BS. What the eff would they talk about? ... "Hey, Stace, you doing okay?" "Yeah, you?" "I'm okay, thanks." "Good." "Good."...."Well, talk to you tomorrow."

I never, ever put it past any man to have more than one bed partner. But if they split months ago, then George wouldn't have been cheating if he did hook up with someone else.

Well, I really don't understand how that sort of behaviour would benefit anyone - not sure it would do alot for anyone's career, Harvey Weinstein (Keibler) or no Harvey Weinstein (Canalis). Very unwise I would have though, given that the man involved here is George Clooney.

Stacy who hasn't really put a foot wrong since she began dating George is in my humble opinion very unlikely to start any petty leaking stories, not when she has a show to promote and I think she is smart enough to not bite the hand that fed and continues to feed her. The Elisabetta comment re father figure was a petty petulant dig and didn't do her any favours.

Anyway as Ive said before there is no point comparing them either, the only thing they have common is the title of ex-gf of .....

George and I haven't had sex the last few months either. No one seems to care about that.

When George was in London and in this club and the next day it was all over the press that he was meeting his "old flame"? I wonder if he knew that this kind of sex romour would come. And made sure if that happens he is linked to an "alleged affair". No?   Just thinking

Well, Nicky, here's a hypothesis:

The publicity for the "George Clooney & Stacy Keibler realtionship" is the collective task of one PR team.
I don't think any of the ex-girlfriends don't follow what is required of them as per terms of their NDAs. They co-operate fully.  This relationship with  George Clooney proved to be their career highlight.  Financially & catapulted them to the limelight for the duration.
So they take no initiative to break the terms of their agreement. Even post relationship, the show continues as the "ex-".  And EC, LS, KA, CB, SL, MJ, etc,  all bank on that.
Unless one is bitter & makes a not so flattering comment implying he's old.

So, regarding Stacy Keibler's PR team stating that she hasn't had sex with Clooney in months, how about another theory:

If it's true that they were just friends, and never slept with each other, then to deflect from the reality of the situation, the PR team release ruses such as
"Is Stacy Keibler pregnant?" when photos emerged of her bloated belly last summer. Then another corny denial story of her working out, showing flat abs.

Or now
"Stacy Keibler didn't have sex with George Clooney in months."  The effect of this is not to draw emphasis to that situation, but to actually cement the authenticity of the relationship in the public's mind.
It's common sense that they didn't have physical sex recently since he hadn't seen her in months. Only possibility would be phone or online sex between them.
So.... to create plausibility to the relationship, the PR team release this story.

Just a theory.

Besides, Clooney wouldn't mislead the public into thinking that he had a relationship with a woman for two years, which turned out to be just a PR business deal without sexual intimacy.  That would be dishonest.

George doesn't just direct, produce, write, or act in his movies. These aren't only his jobs. He doesn't think of film making as many others do. George is an extremely creative person as such that makes him very obsessive and a perfectionist about the process of creating a masterpiece.

It's not something that ends for him when everyone else finishes work, it is an extension of him and takes over completely until finished. After that I'm sure he think I wonder if I had done this or that if it would have been better or worse. When a person like George starts one of his pet projects; it's, like he says, not the same as a quick, fun box-office money pit. Other things aren't that important and have to take a back seat. His first passion is his creativity. As it should be with someone like George. Because he's a passionate man he always has his causes to attend to, which cannot be put on hold.

A lady friend needs to understand these things going into the relationship. I don't believe he would be less passionate with her on a whole; as long as she can understand that he cannot be catering to her whims when in an intense creative mode. They need to have enough love and respect for each other to deal with this. That's why I feel someone with a career which also catering, might not be the answer.

The media I feel is getting quite disgraceful speculating on when he last had sex. I just wish sometimes people would go up to their spouses/partners and ask them loathsome questions about their sex life. As far as what we as fans should put out there; times I think we go to far. If you have someone you love that is not perfection personified does that mean we should go on a forum and tell the world of their (what we think) are their failings, no I don't think so. Specially when we have only speculation  on the so called media's part. We can see all it takes is one source to claim something (maybe) is such & such. The next thing you know it is all over the web in every language possible as fact because so & so said it. Then as loyal fans we bring it on here and some tear George apart even more. Well I love the man and that means the complete man, with any perceived idiosyncrasies. I believe it is wrong to find thousands of excuses to justify the love life of George, blame the women who decide to attend, hey women; George is a good actor, a good director, a charitable person, it's nice, but it is nice also very selfish with the women who attended (you've never seen accompany a gf to an event where she was the protagonist?). Here's the deal: George is not perfect like no other man in the world. His fault? I do not know how to love but I'm not saying that he did not fall in love! Now many agree that it is serene, smiling and happy because he left Stacy what you do not understand is why you put it with her! That doesn't mean we should wear blinders, but there are times, like this thread, a stranger would only know it was a fan forum if they read the name of it. Much as Mazy, I'm not trying to anger anyone,I just don't get it. I don't understand how someone can apparently think he is some kind of (fill in the blank. I don't want to even type a list of all the things he's been called here) and yet they're a fan. If he is all the things we accuse him of why would anyone admire him? And yes, I know, there are a few here who only admire his work, but for most of us it's a whole package.

George participates in these relationships to the best of his ability.  As a woman, I take offense to some of his actions, just as much as I take offense to some of the actions of his girlfriends only to the extent of how much it may affect the PEOPLE with whom he has aligned himself to do humanitarian work for.  

Will it make any difference in the scheme of things what my opinion might be?  Not at all.  Just as no one else's opinion will make any difference because the reality is that GEORGE does not read this forum and he doesn't give a rats ass what any of us think.

Some of you are going on about how as a fan forum we should be much more respectful of George.  I disagree.  I think as a forum whether someone comes here as a fan or not, that we should be able to express our opinions.

I may not agree with what MANY have said here but I rarely dictate to others what they should be saying.  The only time I've stepped in is if there is continual bickering between specific posters that goes off topic.

I understand some find my comments distasteful.  As I've said, there is a little button in the profile section that allows you to ignore my comments and the comments of anyone whose comments you find distasteful.

But no matter how many times you may say it - you cannot stop another person from having an opinion or stating it.  And that's JMVHO.

Oh and as noodle has stated, there is always the option of not reading a thread if it bothers you too much.

No where in my post did I state that George was perfect or didn't have any faults. I believe I said quite the opposite as I don't believe anyone is perfect. But you either accept someone as a total, faults and all. If a persons good out weighs their bad in my opinion that makes them a good person, not that my opinion is all that important. None of us really has any idea exactly what George's private life is like. This, in my opinion, is because no matter what he has said in the past; has been so twisted and made fun of, that he learned the lesson. Early on George was up front and probably to candid and it came back to bite him in the butt.

What I did say was {love the man and that means the complete man, with any perceived idiosyncrasies.} But that is me and that is how I feel. Yes even if I felt that he was a(#%#%#) I would not say it because who am I to deface George or anyone else's reputation without even the hint of proof. This is me and just my very humble opinion, which I think that I am aloud to express.

This entire thing is phony! This was never a "normal" relationship in the terms of most people. The "break up" has nothing to do with distance or workload or because someone wanted marriage and children. Most of what is being said is media Speculation. PR folks can spin anything to get ppl to tune in. All were in agreement and all walked away with what was pre-determined long ago. Scandal, drama and romantic notions are fun to read and write about, but are often not reality. It is quite simply, business as usual. Read into it what you will. That's all.

Okay, this is getting fairly awesome.

Remember when we first started learning about Stacy, way back when, and several of us said that George better be careful with this one, that when it was over she wouldn't go quietly like the others? Well, here it is. Girlfriend IS NOT toeing the company line. Every time George issues a press release (sorry, sources "leak" a story), she releases one that contradicts his or makes him look bad. He confirms the breakup, she says she was the one who did the dumping. He says it was mutual, she says they didn't have sex for months. He says he told her to move out ages ago, she says she was going anyway and she was not asked to leave. AND, the most Cray-Cray of all, she is not falling in with the "I wanted kids, he didn't" line. I mean, that's gotta be on page one of the Girl's Guide to Dating George Clooney. "When we break up, it's because you wanted to marry and have a family and I didn't."
Looks especially bad considering that was the official reason given just a few days ago.
