Exactly. His body language always seems to say, "She's with me," which is fine; but never "She's mine and I'm hers." As I said more crudely in another thread, f##kbuddies. But I should also emphasize that he always manages to be -- or appear to be -- attentive and respectful, which is a hell of a lot more than what some women get in their more publicly "committed" relationships.

I agree, but any idea what they did? Did they turn it around the top? I have just not seen anything that could have been so bad turn out so good. Not sure I like the belt though, but Stacy is so tall it works. Someone shorter and it would have cut funny.

They just sew a lining panel into the front. The designer probably already did it they adapt their runway looks for people to wear for other occassions. Not that complicated.

This might be my favourite photo of all the photos taken last night. Look at him. Look at Jack Nicholson. When did he become your cuddly Uncle Oscar? And will this be George Clooney in 25 years?

Remember, Jack was George and Leo and more when it was safer to be wild. Roman Polanski did what he did at Jack Nicholson’s house. Many people say that Roman Polanski was just doing what they were all doing -- the only difference being that he got caught. And if he could? If Jack could turn his body back? Jack would probably still be doing it. He’d probably think George and Leo were doing it all wrong and definitely not hard enough.

It’s just…suddenly they get old and look old and all you see is a portly retiree who likes to give out hugs. No. It’s not the he wouldn’t. He just can’t anymore.

As for George and Stacy Keibler -- every time I saw them they looked solid. And I’ll always have something to compare it to. I saw George when he was on his way out of Elisabetta Canalis. I saw him when he was just getting into Stacy. He’s still there. Our etalk balcony camera even shot them quick-kissing on their way inside the theatre -- that’s on the show tonight. And she’s still playing it right. Like a royal consort. Never walking ahead. Never getting too close when inappropriate, never straying too far. And still dressing with a lack of imagination though marginally improved in that at least it’s that tacky anymore.

I’ll say this though about George, and Duana says I say it all time, but it’s by far his best quality-- how gracious he is, even though he is who he is. He has let Ben Affleck ride this the entire way. He has let it be about Ben Affleck. Even last night in the press room, he barely spoke, the benevolent chairman ceding the floor to the eager director, only stepping in when absolutely required. Like when he was addressed directly by a journalist asking him to lend his support to a cause by attending an event.

“Can you come?” she asked.

His response:

“That’s a really personal question.”

Dirty bastard.

The dress is fine, although I would like to make some comments if I could. If I could redesign this dress, I would make the bodice with a fitted halter-style front, and the back with criss-cross straps, with appropriate shaping for the bustline. The back would be at least halfway upward, with the see-through fabric removed. I would opt for a cheerier fabric to emphasize her youth. This fabric is much too aging for Stacy.

I have a question. I read on IMDB that there were 11 producers for Argo. Do all of them get Oscars? The rest were never mentioned. How does this work?

Not 100% sure with the Oscars, but for Emmys the studio submits the names, and usually the producers that are listed are the ones that actually work on the movie, not just the money people. That is why sometimes you see nominees to be determined and also you might see lead actors in supporting actor slots when their part was more of a lead. The studios think they have a better shot of winning that way. So only the ones submitted get awards.

"Producer" is a very fluid credit, but generally applies to people who are actively involved in acquiring the property, financing it, attaching talent, hiring the director, and/or taking care of the logistics of making the movie. All of this is done on different levels. For instance, someone like George could buy/finance a screenplay and pull the creative team together, but the legwork and legalities could fall to someone else, and that other person could still get a producer credit. Or a small local production company that oversees locations or something can have its main producer credited. Sometimes even the people who handle things like casting auditions negotiate for a producing credit.

That said, the Academy limits the awards-eligible producers to three, I think. I think there's a provision for four if certain requirements are met. Don't quote me on that. And it changed a few years ago. But the credited producers have to have performed the higher-level functions on the project. It used to be that studios and execs could get added as eligible producers for doing next to nothing.
