Wow maybe we are all the same(just kidding) we definitely feel and think alike on this interview. IMO she wants everyone to know so much about their relationship that she can't stop making these remarks in interviews( she should shut-up) George could change this with one short comment. Bet it really pisses her off so many don't believe they are a couple,or are not together any longer.

@ LouisLane , he's a pig!!! I'm happy for Maria that she has left that pig, and can continue with her life not as his wife. So many Americans support her and wish the best for her.

You know, sometimes I think she's being paid to act like a fool. I don't think she's the brightest penny in the jar but sometimes she says the most predictable and dumbest things and I don't think she could be that stupid.

Maybe George has her around to make him look good. She's doing all the blabbing and nothing from him. And he is after all getting his name in the media without saying a word. As he likes to say, "don't let that get in the way of a good story."

@Can't she stand on her own, don't know what she was like before becoming the GF of GC, other than what people have said from Italy, but no it doesn't look like she can even with Roberto on the cover with her!

Thank you very much for posting the translation!! And, what is so amazing (that EC doesn't get) is that she said George DOESN'T talk about his personal life, yet its okay for her?! As others have said - she keeps digging her hole deeper and deeper!

Can EC be THAT stupid that she can't remember saying that?! I know, she chose not to remember. Maybe that is why for all the negative comments from Italians about having her on that program. I'm sure the ratings will be good as people in general like competition type programs. If she's just a host, the viewers won't care too much, just make all their negative comments on-line. LOL!

Doris, I'm sorry if we seem snarky toward her. The truth is she has insulted George's fans in the past calling us "jealous" among other things. That, along with her arrogant attitude has alienated his fans.

I think that she realized that probably another Summer vacations in Como weren't a real possibility then with the help with her good friend Alfonso she started to work on this. She just assured another summer, imo. Also she assured press coverage for her new tv job, new modelling jobs....She and Alfonso knows that the association with George is her passport for jobs and sponsors.
George has two movies releases/premieres coming, probably Venice festival and others festivals, Ides of March is his "newest son" and the only thing he doesn't need at this time is bad press, specially with his private life. italian press can be very harsh, very intruder if they break up right now!

What upsets me about her is her attitude and I'am not personally impressed with her career or how she has earned her fortune. For me, it has NOTHING to do with dating George. Its the way EC has chosen to live her life. I don't respect that.

Doris: There are GC fans who are jealous. The ones who say she is very ugly or this is a PR stunt, etc. Well, some people might think she is not pretty, it's about taste. Anyway, she is pretty, i gotta say she was prettier in the beginning. I guess her lyfe style is catching up and she is aging badly, but she is still pretty. So, kudos for her to have that a*s to flaunt as she does.

There are other starlettes that flaunt their a*ses too, but many of them earned their rights to enjoy their lives by their own work, not through relationships with influential men... Correct me if I am wrong, but I never saw photos of her in Laglio or Cabo before GC. She used to go to Miami and that's about it.

First of all, I said in other threads here, I never paid attention to his personal life because it is his life, but I was shocked when I saw her on the red carpet. She came accross as a very arrogant person. I was what the heck??? GC is working so hard in his humanitarian efforts and he is dating someone who's every chance she has to gush about their relationship and expose her behind, she does... The only things she got here in US since they started dating seems to be through him and she blew every opportunity. Thank God she is improving her English. I was pi*sed off when she said she was fluent and she was not even closed to be fluent, she was intermediate level for an ESL person, if much...

Secondly, she is consistent in being inconsistent (as someone said it wisely here). I don't even need to right any examples, do I?

Third, I don't think I am jealous of her. Everything I achieved in my life was through my efforts. I will not say that I did it alone because, fortunately, I have a great support system (family and friends).

Fourth, I am really proud of all my accomplishments (even the little ones), such as: double-majoring in College, a master's degree in Genetics, doing a PhD in a great US University. Also, I am more proud when my US students tell me how much they enjoyed my classes and asked for advice to improve their skills/letter of recommendation. Moreover, I am proud when I get to work 10 to 15 hours a day in the lab because I am able to work this much on something I enjoy and my findings can help society.
Finally, I am proud that I pay all my bills on my own. I do not judge women who are not career oriented in any way, but I am very proud that I never depended on a man to get anything I want.

In conclusion, I would not change my life for hers not even for a split second, a night, a day, a month, a year or the rest of my life. Let alone for any man, even/specially GC.

Boy, this is a real witch hunt, isn't it? I'm glad for her she didn't make any comments on the weather. You guys would have ripped into that too, and probably concluded that she is partly responsible for the climate change.

I don't think this ensures her of another summer with George. He hasn't wanted to be pictured with her for the last few months and with a summer job looks like they won't be spending that much time together if any. Sarah did an interview like this and it was over before the mag left the shelves. It could be Bette's last stand get lots of attention then even more when the breakup is public. I think things are not well and bette could be trying to convince herself more then anyone that things are great. George seemed pretty angry at times with Chi's access and it seemed to have been stopped which is another reason I'm thinking it is more likely to already be over and Eli is just trying for the extra attention. Why would she even need to work over the summer? If she knew she would be getting lots of attention being with George and be the lady of the manor? Doesn't make a lot of sense. Love how she has backpeddled about working in Italy guess the fact she couldn't get a job in the US has finally sunk in. Italy is the only place she can work can't see the Italians being that happy one minute she is dissing them next she is wanting back in. Wasn't that long ago the work their wasn't good enough for her. Something is up and I think she has pretty much dug her own grave. With all the hard work George has put in keeping a low profile I just don't see him wanting a summer with the paps firmly focused on him because of her once again.. He doesn't need her for the festivals or movie premieres he has and can do them as a single in fact he would get more attention being single again taking her would cause even more eyebrows raised. Especially since they haven't been seen together for so long! As for Eli, I'm not jealous of her I wouldn't want to be her cause in the end she will either be in a loveless marriage or sad and alone. Her life seems to revolve around herself and her body and what she can get out of it. I prefer working hard and having someone love me for who I am not cause I have a great ass! George actually deserves what he gets, he needs to choose better types of women whether he learns anything from this we will have to wait and see but I doubt it. Why would you work with a very well known tabloid boss when you are with someone who wants to keep a low profile? Cause it's over and you want the attention to go your way. I wonder if Chi will get the they have split exclusive?

Well Leo is sort of single...Hugh Grant seems to be always single too. I'm sure there are others who would be happy to pay for her to continue to be the girlfriend off.....of course now she has said she wants to be the wife off and mother off so that may cut the field. I would be ensuring safe sex just in case she does a Maddy! I don't think she has the chance to with George these days after reading all this stuff he probably wears a suit of armour if he bothers at all.

I think she hung in there for the kids! Men tend to be weak when women are throwing themselves at them. David Beckham has cheated on Victoria for years but without him she is nothing so she stays. It doesn't say much for Eli picking guys who always cheat either. It seems pretty much all of them have she would have known though cause that is part of the soccer lifestyle and she was very involved in that scene. Doubt she didn't know what was going on.

when she was on tv in some awful tv something about soccer or else,among her usual partners that are soooooo much different from the people she could meet in hollywood,she could be uncapable like in sanremo,but she had not that behaviour because she was sure of what was happening.i think that in the us she just feels unprepared,not speaking a good english(thats her fault)not understanding everything,not wth friends and knowing that everybody thinks that she is only a girl totally unknown and who is there just because of clooney;she reacted badly,she could be happy and smiling and showing enthusiasm for the luck that she had ,she did not do that and thats her fault; she was a velina and all of a sudden she was projected in the world of the most famous people ;or you are smart,(intelligent?) open ,interested and capable to manage all this, or you react like she did or she does;silly,she acts as if nothing interests her,i think she is like that,she does not cares so much about anything that could take some effort;this is more or less the world of the girls in our(may be also yours?)tv shows,they have a beautiful ass, they put on a dress with a good decolletè,and they go;they dont have to say much,they should smile sometime and just be there,they are payed for that;finished;

Welcome calypso. Opinions are always welcome, but sarcasm of other posters is not. Please tell us on the characterizes of EC that YOU like.

Outside of Italy no one knew her before George and even in Italy her fans were mostly boys and men so I doubt she was a household name even then. She has gained a lot from being connected with george but it will only last so long once it is over! Problem for her is her major lack of any real talent and she seems really good at getting up people noses with her attitude.

Respectfully disagree. She has had "red carpets" since her early nude calendar days. She knew/knows exactly what to expect. Maybe a bigger press line than in Italy, but its still the same.

I don't see that happening either and it's his life, his choices. Of course, there is something he sees in her we don't see/know. We are not saying she is not making him happy, I just stated things that she said or did that don't make sense, mainly when you compare to the discretion GC uses when comes to his private life and humanitarian efforts.

sisieq,you can obviously disagree but i respectful tell you that the italian red carpets are riduculous,more than that,painful;and on those red carpets she knew everybody and the language thats spoken is italian, the most difficult could be with a roman accents;so the situation is totally different;and here they know her and in the us who has ever seen her?
