I'm sure she has her own money, probably stashed in a Swiss bank account somewhere, her fee for the San Remo gig was around 200k so if she looks after her money and invests it well , getting the boyfriends to pay for as much as she can, she should have a nice tidy sum hidden away.

She has at least two apartments in Milan so she must be getting rent on one of them. Her looks aren't going to last for ever and that's all she has to trade on, so she had better make sure she has invested for her future, because given the amount of time she spends in the sun she will look like an old leather shoe by the time she is 40.

In an early Italian magazine interview she said she was paid a fortune for her two nudie calendars, she said the only reason she did them (and embarrassed her family) was for the irresistible money they were offering.

She’s been around long enough and learnt how to use her perceived sex appeal to finagle free stuff from designers and men.

As for why would she need to do commercials if she has so much money.....why does George need to do commercials when he has so much money? Simple you can never be too rich in their world.

Maybe she's worth 9 million pesos, not dollars....

If she did the calendars at the height of her "velina-ism" she could have made really good money.Alot of times these are done the model gets either an up front fee or a cut of the sales. The other magazine stuff - the covers, the inside editorials - usually pay nothing, or very little ( Like $150 for the day), but in return is the exposure. She should have gotten nice compensation for the endorsements, though (jewelry, undies).

but naked calenders wasn't like she said only made to bring her fortune like she assume NO she done that to be noticed first of all and to be the gate to have modeling gigs and in you tube u will find a few clips about modeling with bags and clothes not first row names may be but if she done that and continue doing those and must be some she done and never showed up or been forgotten for bad quality or any other reason. i bet she have this money "if u had like your first 3 millions i guess when u r young u will be able to invest to made them grow" may be she had the start from her jobs but after that made some trading or in stoke marketing or what ever.

Magees bakery is somewhere in Kentucky, but I can't easily find their address on their website.

It is very funny that this pic is showing up five weeks since she was actually there. I think most of us conceded she was there for a day or two but that hardly makes it a relationship when she isn't working and could be with him more then a day or two. We had lots of tweets and sightings and there was only this one in Kentucky where she spent the day then went to dinner. Wonder what took so long for this too show up? Someone getting antsy about all the split rumours being believed perhaps?

Although I dont read or speak Italian, my understanding was her parents were comfortable, but they were no where near rich, this is the first time Ive heard this. I think had her parents been so wealthy the press, both here and in Europe, would have mentioned it, if only in passing. It would have been too juicy to pass up. In addition, when they visited her family, it was a good time to mention their great wealth, again, nothing. George makes it a point to meet all of his lady friends parents, or some family member, ALL of them, he hasnt missed one so far, and when he does they (the press) does tend to dig about to see what they can find.

You're absolutely right lolo and all the conspiracy theories in the world aren't going to explain away that picture that Katie posted above. It's Betty in BOTH of them and they are from February of this year, when she visited him on set.

Like I said to begin with...who but fashion clueless Betty would wear those gawd awful gold sneakers! hahahaha

I think the bakery and dinner out is Eli but not the girl in the gold shoes. It's the hair that is differant and it looks like she has her ear pierced a couple of times. Also is Eli was on set she wouldn't be unnoticed and we would have more then one pic.

I agree with everything you said. In all the photos from that day and the next, there was no other time we saw "gold sneakers". Also, it looks like that girl is wearing a ring.

LOL, yes I know, EC has pulled that one before.

It's bettabuns!look at her chin,she has a cleft,it's more noticeable in face-on photos,but in above gold sneaker pic you can see it.

I don't think so, remember that today is April fool! And George wouldn't tell something about his private life like that especially in Italian media but IF he need to tell something it's via Stan in a statement and in People mag or something like that. So happy April fool!!

Dear readers, so much so that Elizabeth was radiant, more or less wore two days ago in Rome, near the Altar of the Fatherland, an engagement ring super 'shimmer' left ring finger.

George, therefore, decided to make her beautiful and happy to take her to the altar. What better way to show love if not offering a Damiani platinum ring?

Since we are content with little, at least send the wedding gifts. And happy birthday!

It was me!!!!! Well, I asked for photographic proof and I got it - though I still don't think the pic above is her......this whole thing is just very weird, the timing. And with all the stories and articles that were out, only now the pic is here? So, just so I can keep up, we have a total of three pics? One above, that I will concede. The one of her in the gold sneaks (jury still out on that one), and another (actually a very blurry one) of them eating dinner. She takes her dogs out to take a dump and we get a whole series of pics. Here she goes to see George in KY, all the way from Italy after her big performance, hundreds of fans around with cell phone cameras.....and we have three pics.....somthin ain't kosher......

Bellybaby - I just think that the locals don't care or really aren't the type to get star-struck and post photos of her on the internet. She isn't in the film, She isn't independently famous that the locals would do a double take if they saw her in respect of her career and her own fame. She is irrevelant to the locals.She is just the girlfriend of a former local. They wouldn't even know her name. All they would know is that she is Italian, wears a bikini a lot and she is the current flame.

What I find odd is that there are daily pictures of him on set so clearly, the paps are following him around. So why no pap pictures? They were clearly out and about one day of her visit. Because all the shots of him and filming can't be taken by local photographers who have been pressured by their local press to respect his privacy & his private life whilst in town as a thank you of sorts for investing funds into the community by way of filming there. I don't think that's possible.

But then on the other hand, other than the paraded for clearly tipped off shots when he was filming hawaii, how many shots did we really get when he was shooting descendants? Exclude Betty on set together to dispel the split rumours and the blatantly obvious Betty & George on the beach in a bikini stroll, there were no other published shots of them that I can recall. No dinners, no outings, no shopping, no hotel pool shots, etc. Nothing. Maybe the paps really don't see them as a couple that sells. After 18 months or so, people in general aren't all that interested in the relatiuonship. He refuses to talk about his private life. No US or british publication has championed them as a couple and sold the love story convincingly. So the paps may believe that if they as a couple don't sell, it isn't worth their time and effort to pursue them. I mean, how many articles have been written saying the relationship is fake? If people think it's a sham then the magazines and blogs won't pay for shots of people that their readers aren't invested in. Or maybe smouting doesn't sell.

Or pictures of George, Ryan and the rest of the cast actually working and creating something are just better than still pictures of a high maintenance diva girlfriend who doesn't seem to have any nice things to say about anyone else, complains of haters if people don't automatically love her and only seems to vacation.

Elisabetta Canalis, competition 'coffee' to George Clooney

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2 cups sugar
1 cup cream
4 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons flour

Is it me, but this recipe just sounds like a plain cream pie. Add chocolate = chocolate cream pie. Add cream cheese or bananas, etc for different types of cream pies. Yes, No????

Hey there Silly Girl!!!!!! You have a very valid point. Alot of this doesn't make sense!! I think we've all come up with our own conclusions and I don't really know the answer myself. Welcome to the forum and please speak up when you feel like it. Spend time reading and catching up and we'd love to see you post!!!

There's always the chance that the picture was added to that person's post because the two of them are looking at the honey. The vast majority of people who look at that webpage will not know the real date the photo was taken. I think they just added it to make the post look more important. As in "WOW, even George Clooney likes this honey". I'm thinking that's why this weblink came up in "Clooney Alerts" all of a sudden. IMHO

That recipe sounds like a regular custard tart just extra rich because of the cream and they certainly wouldn't be transparent.

Maybe they gave them that name because they are so delicious that one minute you see them on the plate and the next you don't .

Thats an idea Merlin. It does sound like a custard tart which I love. I agree Katie I don't think gold shoes is bette I also believe there would be more then this one shot of her if she was on set. Cause I don't believe for a second Eli wouldn't be hanging off George and making sure everyone knew she was there if she was! I think she got told it was over that weekend and left without stepping foot on the step. No other explaination for her lack of being around the last few weeks!

I think George and family are given alot of respect by the locals,thats why we only got on set pics while filming there. Where else does he get that much privacy? Not la or Como.

I don't either because we never saw the gold sneakers again even that day in crowd shots. I still think it was a student who ran over to get a photo of George and/or Ryan. It does look like EC, so I'm thinking the pap just figured it was her and took her picture, too.

P.S. I thought the original post said 2011, too. But, I'm still thinking the photo was added to that guys comment. A post always stands out more if there is a photo. They could have had a photo of just the honey stand, but added this new one.
