That red dress is horrid. Of all people, she would have the body to pull it off but no, it doesn't work. The grey one is reasonably nice. The purple dress has been done to death and is generic. So it will most likely be in Hello or OK magazine next week with an exclusive look around his yacht?? Isn't it lucky that the paps hung around to get shots of them having a photo shoot on the boat. Lucky! I still think the disaster will be whatever she wears to the store opening.

So was the photo shoot with Elisabetta Canalis, Italian who conquered Clooney.

Is the host, Cavalli's muse ... and the most envied woman in the world. The reasons? Having won over George Clooney, the eternal bachelor of Hollywood. This 32 year old Italian is one of the stars of the new issue of Vogue Spain. We talked with her and have become a model full of sensuality shooting.

This was our encounter with the legendary Elisabetta CBS studio in Los Angeles.

HA-HA-HA the most envied woman in the world! Were do these people get this crap? Yes we all want to be in a relationship with a man trying to hide that you are his woman from the public, nothing like a man who won't claim you as his GF, partner, housemate, date,etc. etc. etc.

Well velinajobs are pretty brainless and soooooooo typical Berlusconi. Not my cup of tea either.

This clip was okay. A little script: She tried to have some coffee with a few guys but the coffee only tasted/tastes good with Giotto.

The paps were called and notified. She was paid to be there. She can NOT model. IMHO, Cavalli continutes to use her because of the George connection.

The press saying George will be there is just talk. It keeps the dummies to hang around hoping to see him.

Watching: you state with such certainty that she has no jobs lined up. Unless you work for her management team, how can you possibly know that?

m4rose: pretty much most models don't wear underwear on shoots. When they do wear underwear, it's nude coloured g-strings so it's hard to tell.

Of course most models manage not to get snapped in such a position, but you're talking about someone who made her name and money posing nude and semi nude, so we could be sure she thinks this is no big deal.

Elisabetta Canalis may be a lingerie model, and she may look fierce lounging on a yacht in a barely-there bikini, but apparently that ain't enough to keep George Clooney's attention.

According to friends in Clooney's inner circle, the actor is so ready to move on. But he can't pull the trigger just yet:

"It's pretty clear he's over it and wants to move on. I just don't think he knows how," a close Clooney pal tells us. "Elisabetta seems nervous and unsure of herself around all of George's friends, which is strange because George's friends are all guys, married or middle-aged. There is no reason for her to feel insecure with them."

But the model was by her boyfriend's side as recently as a few weeks ago, when the two celebrated Clooney's 50th birthday at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, with a star-studded group of friends.

And thanks to Kirstie Alley's Twitter account, we all knew about it.

"George was sloshed on his birthday," one of Clooney's crew reveals to us. "His friends don't understand why he and Elisabetta are still together."

But while Clooney's pals have been chatty on the topic, his rep hasn't returned our request for comment.

Sounds like this relaysh is going by way of Clooney's brunette galpals of the past. Do the names Sarah Larson, Krista Allen and Lisa Snowdon ring any bells?

And while Elisabetta has been soaking up the sun flaunting her seriously toned curves on Roberto Cavali's yacht in Cannes this week, Clooney has yet to be seen.

In the grey dress she's almost wearing, I think I see what I see but I don't want to see it. She's pulling a Britney Spears but without the good looks.

Yay! If I remember rightly, E! are close pals of George's. Let's see what resonse this brings.

ETA: this seems much more in keeping with George's break up style. If they aren't together any more, then we can look forward to stories of George partying with many different women in the next couple of weeks.

What I want to know is what the hell is that vial she's holding in her hand in the bikini shots and why is she does she appear to be applying its contents to her bikini line?

My question is, does she think sticking her nose up in the air makes her look desirable or pretty? I just don't understand that pose.

That was the same picture that was up befor up date. One that they had just used.

Not sure I believe these rumours from his "inner circle" or that Betty is in London. Are the pics at Cavalli's party on the other thread from tonight? If so, how can she be in London? Also, if he was thinking of ditching her but hadn't plucked up the nerve to do it yet, he'd hardly confirm it to E! before telling poor B (etty) would he (or would he?!) He'll probably be back in Como at the weekend with Betty. On a motorbike. Or eating sushi. Same old, same old.

He leaked this as a way to set the stage, and to move her along because she isn't getting the message. He did this with Larson. He let it leak to In Touch Weekly that he was over it, ready to move on, but that he would make a few more appearances with her. About a month later, there was that Met event and something else, and it was over. Same thing here. I predict a few more outings and then it's over. That leak to Ted was for real. That leak came from his inner circle, and they've leaked to Ted in the past. I think George is setting her up for the break up. IMO, of course.

Katie - maybe I could have written it better but has anything been announced? I can only assume she has no future acting work on the horizion as we have all seen with George, when someone signs onto a film / tv show - it is always announced to the press prior to the project commencing to drum up interest. And as most people who hire her want to trade on the Clooney connection and not for her acting 'prowess', I feel reasonably comfortable making the claim their is no work on the horizon. If she did have, wouldn't she be talking about it in another Italian Vanity Fair excusive? And if there was work on the way, would she be so desperately famewhoring in Cannes? She would be more smug - like when she got Leverage. She has stated she doesn't want to work in Italy anymore. So should we not take that at face value and deduce no more upcoming Boldi films?

She claims her occupation is actress. Well that ain't going to well for her.

What a peculiar way of breaking up, oelala.

She usually looks good in the videos of the shoot but when the pictures come out she doesn't look so great - either bad lighting, too much photoshopping, etc. Hopefully with Vogue, they will make her look good. Because she can look stunning in the right circumstances.

This is what irrates me about her - the blatant lying. How can anyone believe a word that comes out of her mouth? It's one thing to grow and learn different things about yourself but this is a constanty stream for two years now changing her mind - saying one thing, doing another. Offering up whatever she whink will sell her that week. Honestly Betty, sit down, do some soul searching, figure out who you are and what you want (outside of material gains) and stick to it. It will make you much happier than chasing paps around and living your life in the shadow of some bloke who refuses to publicly acknowledge you in his life - no matter how big the paycheck that comes with him is.

I've said it before - Betty will be around until after the trial of the Italian prime minister is done. It's self protection. He needs to ensure that she is going to say they never were at the bunga bunga parties. Splitting now would put too much attention on them and any possible involvement in the trial. They are going to continue to be quiet until after it is done so to not dig themselves into a deeper hole.

Well written-typed watching, the wanting to something with hosting a musical program, why not shes tried everything else! Does she have any musical background, like the judges on American Idol?

Lucy - I read that and thought (and I am guessing) she wanted to X Factor hosting gig in the States. The Vogue interview would be at least a month old. That is the only big money music show hosting gig that I can think of in the States that she may be referring to. Althought trying to see her hold her own with Simon Cowell would have been amusing. She hosed TRL in Italy for a couple of months after being hired after her first month and being bad. She has also hosted a number of those live music festivals in Italy.

Presenting may be her stab (finally) at a job she could do - they dress you well, tell you wehere to stand, you have a telepromoter..... It could be a job she may do well in but personally, I don't think her English is good enough for a live show where she may have to go off script or take directions from the producers. If it is all pre-scripted and she has a chance to learn it, she make do ok.

If Georges pals are talking and they generally do near the end of a relationship then Eli doesn't have much time left a few weeks at the most. The trial could go on for ages sounds like George wants her gone! I doubt she has shown up in London and I doubt George rang Ted. The statement isn't exactly that of a happy man. Guess Eli didn't get along too well with the boys, what a shock! LOL Won't be surprised if she shows up in London!

Did no one catch the married to Clooney part! LOL She wishes. She already tried hosting and got the sack even reading a teleprompter is something she struggles with. San Remo was a huge failure so I doubt anyone is going to hire her. Besides don't they want you to have some sort of talent? Those dresses all look bad. The orange one is awful the purple is wrinkled and does fit properly the grey is ok but looks like it has been painted on way too tight and the necklace just doesn't go. She looks like a trucker in that outfit not soft or feminine. The tattoos pretty much ruin any classy look she may be going for as does that arrogant smout she pulls out. Watching: she rarely announces any work in advance. The only time we know about things she does is if she gets papped doing the photoshoot.

There are so many examples now of work she's done that we had no inkling of ahead of time, that your comment really surprises me.

We didn't know about the PETA shots until she did them, we didn't know about the jewellery brand she advertised until the ads ran, we didn't know about the car advert until she was filming it, we didn't know about the coffee brand she endorsed until the shoot, we didn't know about the ferrero chocolate advert etc etc etc etc. We didn't know about any of these gigs until she did them and sometimes not even then.

You're actually looking at pictures of Betty at work doing a photoshoot for Cavalli as the face of Cavalli and you still write that she's not got any work lined up!? What gives?

Her job, such as it is, is simply one of being a celebrity. It's not modelling, it's not acting, it's not TV presenting, it's not live music festival host, it's not celebrity endorsements - it's all of these things and more. Her job encompasses being Elisabetta Canalis, girlfriend of George Clooney. Anything that will keep her a celebrity falls into her job description.

That's a really good thought! Also, in the friends quote - notice the "... he's ready to end it. I don't think he knows how." IMHO, I think that's letting the public know this is not going to be an easy break up - which many of us have guessed and talked about.

I think this is a real leak and the sand in Betty's hourglass is about to run out.

Monaco - from Cannes to London is about a 90-minute flight. It's not hard to be in two countries in one day.

It's so strange to me that his pals never comment in a negative way or at all until before the break-up,or in the beginning what you hear is positive comments.Some of the comments in interviews just this year led me to believe that betta enjoyed the Sunday dinners with all George's friends, among other outings etc.But the one thing that bothers me and just doesn't make since is the whole year of hiding their relationship after all those months they were photographed everywhere. Maybe the stalker theory, trying to protect her, but it just doesn't feel right. Truthfully he makes me mad, she was his choice, she traveled,co-habited,dated, whatever,and now he hides like some coward, if shes a part of his life admit it. If he's over her be a man and end it!
