The highlight of your week

George is the highlight for my week. I've been a little sad this week, had an argument with my oldest daughter and feel as if my heart is breaking. Gonna buy me a good book (The Descendants) have myself a good cry over someone else's problems (real or not) and try to get it out of my system.

Lucy, I am sorry to hear that and I am sure htings will turn out fine! Plus, a good reading always help, !



Patty, I always try to look on the bright side and IF is not a good word, it gives the impression of barriers and obstacles to achieve your goals. It's like you doubt yourself/your dreams when you use IF, right?!

The highlight of my week, oddly, was being made redundant! As you all probably know, I do the PR for a number of luxury hotels around Asia and as part of corporate restructuring, I've gone from representing five hotels to only one hotel. The great thing is, legally they can't change things like salary or benefits so I get the same pay and everything else I always got, but only about half of the workload! For the first time ever I may get that thing they call work-life balance.

Lucy, sorry about argument with your daughter. Yes it is heartbreaking but these things usually resolve themselves pretty quickly. Hopefully you'll both come to the realization that it can be talked out and settled lovingly. I've always told my kids, there will always be times when I don't like you, but I will always love you. I'm sure it's the same with you and yours. Remember, love her and if she is the one who reaches out first, grab that hand and talk. If you reach out first, still grab hold and talk. Calmly, rationally and lovingly.

@Lucy – Sorry to hear about the argument. That’s hard, I know! Love is a bond between a mother and child that will never disappear. Hang in there and if the argument was for her own good, you did the right thing.

Have a new highlight to add to my week: Spent an inordinate amount of time going through about 1,000 pictures from granddaughter's wedding on the Internet. I was just about cross-eyed when I finished. Don't know how long I took, but when I got through I was bleary eyed and dull witted. Have to do it again in order to pick out ones I want. Had the same problem last year with grandson (her brother, same photographer) They took pics of everything you could imagine and it was a small wedding only about 75 people. Could have been worse, photog wanted to take pics of them w/their Corvette (vintage) but it started to rain. Gratefully and happily accepted as it was much wanted and needed. Venue was about 20 min. from home and we left as it started and made it home just before it really came down. Poured all night long, and by 10 am was as dry as a bone and hot as Hades.

Congrats Katie. Sounds like a perfect compromise.

my highlight of the week is that i got accepted in the university that i applied to (the faculty of english commerce) , it starts next weak , am a collage girl nw! so excited!!!!

Yesterday I got the papers of the agency, they will bankroll the workshop PLUS some extra money because it is far away from the town where I live and I have to move there for a while.
After this I was out with my girl friends celebrating the news of the day, YAY!

The highlight of my week: Fall semester started and yesterday I had to teach microbiology lab for nursing and premed students. They were just awesome!!!!

Dior, I was just expressing how I felt about this whole thing and how I was seeing the George that I did not see it before. Sorry.

Louis, I've been a fan of G for about 2 years and I see you expected more from him. What you've seen is probably the best he can do given his status as an A-list celebrity (sexiest man alive) etc., His life is an open book and he does what is "expected" of him, not that I think for a second that's what he wants. It's a job for him and he has to keep people entertained.

I'm going to miss you and hope you check in sometimes. Bye.

We all go through stages of emotions over how we feel about Mr. George Clooney, I too went through a period of time when I was shocked, disappointed, even angry with some of his choices, mostly in his personal life, but in the end I realized he is a handsome, talented, intelligent,charming,sexy man,who has flaws like everyone else. Besides I've been coming here everyday for all of the posters more than for GTC. I could easily give up him over all of you any day!
