She is a successful international human rights lawyer, but has become known for her natural sense of style over the years.
And Amal Clooney proved her fashion icon status once again on Thursday, as she slipped into another chic ensemble for her day in New York City.
The barrister, 40, was the picture of sophistication in smart checked trousers and stiletto heels as she left her apartment, and headed to work in the Big Apple.

The Lebanese-British beauty was effortlessly elegant a black high-neck blouse and grey plaid trousers, which skimmed her famously leggy figure to the ankle. 



Maintaining the smart feel from head to toe, she layered a sleek black trench coat on top, and tied her look together with monochrome pointed heels. 
The Oxford University alum carried a sleek leather handbag in one hand, and accessorised with delicate pearl drop earrings and dark oversized sunglasses in finishing touches of her trademark glamour.

Styling her hair into loose waves and sporting a thick slick of red lipstick, Amal was truly captivating as she breezed out of her apartment and into the city.  
Her outing comes after she gave a rare insight into life with her A-Lister husband to Vogue - revealing how they first got together, and discussing life as a mother of twins.   
She explained she had first met George, 56, at a party at his house on Lake Como, Italy, and the pair began to exchange emails soon after.
The actor however took on the guise of his dog Einstein in the messages, and pretended he was in need of legal rescue.

Amal admitted she already 'really liked him' before their first date at a top London restaurant - which came when she was close to giving up on the idea of love and motherhood.
She said: 'I was 35 when I met him. It wasn’t obvious that it was going to happen for me. And I wasn’t willing or excited about the idea of getting married or having a family in the absence of that.'
The pair went on to tie the knot in 2014, and they have since welcomed their 10-month-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
Gushing over her kids, Amal revealed the pair had already said their first words, and climb in bed with the couple both between six and 8am.
She said coyly: 'We’ve had some "Mamas" and "Dadas." George was very careful to ensure that "Mama" was the first word.'

I guess she was colder than expected yesterday since she's wearing a coat today. Funny, because it's about ten degrees warmer than it was yesterday. I guess we'll still have to depend on Punxatawny Phil to know when Spring is coming.
