And Amal Clooney maintained her sartorially savvy style as she embarked on a low-key stroll in New York City on Friday morning.
The barrister, 40, looked stunning in her demure ensemble, which featured a sophisticated double-breasted jacket and a matching skater skirt.

The mother-of-two carried her possessions in a large black handbag and accessorised with a pair of square-framed sunglasses.

Injecting timeless Hollywood glamour into her appearance, the Oxford University alum styled her locks into voluminous waves and wore her signature red lipstick.
Amal's outing comes after she gave a rare insight into life with her A-Lister husband to Vogue - revealing how they first got together, and discussing life as a mother of twins.   
She explained she had first met George, 56, at a party at his house on Lake Como, Italy, and the pair began to exchange emails soon after.

The actor however took on the guise of his dog Einstein in the messages, and pretended he was in need of legal rescue.
Amal admitted she already 'really liked him' before their first date at a top London restaurant - which came when she was close to giving up on the idea of love and motherhood. 
She said: 'I was 35 when I met him. It wasn’t obvious that it was going to happen for me. And I wasn’t willing or excited about the idea of getting married or having a family in the absence of that.'

The pair went on to tie the knot in 2014, and they have since welcomed their 10-month-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
Gushing over her kids, Amal revealed the pair had already said their first words, and climb in bed with the couple.
She said coyly: 'We’ve had some "Mamas" and "Dadas." George was very careful to ensure that "Mama" was the first word.'

Lainey Gossip gives this look a thumbs up.  Me?  Not liking the boxy jacket one bit.  I think it swamps her and gives her lines where she would normally have curves.

We’ve seen so much of Amal Clooney this week, and in so many different outfits, it seems fitting to give her the Outfit Of The Week post. And I’m super into this outfit. I don’t know how she keeps it clean, and if she managed to keep it clean through the day, but I’m into it. 
This boxy jacket is cute, non? Hits her at exactly the right spot at the hips. And it totally makes the outfit because I actually don’t really want to know how the top of this dress looks, assuming that it’s a dress. I think it’s a dress. The most interesting part of the dress is the skirt, with those wider pleats. It’s a good pleat, like a school uniform pleat, instead of the closer pleat that we’re used to seeing these days. 
Shoe choice is a little underwhelming though. I don’t like the straight edge at the toe that prevents it from being a true point. Have never liked a shoe toe with that shape.
