PG, is bluray that much of a difference? Have such a collection of films that I haven't wanted to switch. Thankfully now you can buy a DVD player that accommodates both, but is there a diff?
Still waiting to watch IOM a second time, maybe tomorrow, or I just might wait till I'am all alone, then won't have to share.

Could listen to George all day (and night). He could read me the phonebook and I'd be completely happy. What a voice. Love it!

Blu ray is excellent for films with action or special effects,
as in Iron Man, A Team, Avatar & Mission Impossible films.
Some films now come with 3 discs, blu ray, dvd for players and another disc
for use in pc's !
I have all the recent Clooney films in blu ray and there is a difference in the quality when viewed in HD on TV.

lucy, honestly can't tell too much difference between BR and DVD as I don't have an HDTV. However, I've found that the BR versions seem to have additional content that is lacking in DVD recordings now. They used to include a 2nd disc sometimes with those extras when movie ran long. Now if you buy DVD version, all you get is the movie.
I enjoy those extras.
They do sell the combo-packs, but cost a bit more.
With BR, you sometimes get a code so that you can download to your computer. Sony Pics does that. Downloaded IOM to my laptop.

The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) hosted an intimate screening of Columbia Pictures and Cross Creek Pictures film The Ides of March on Wednesday, November 16 at the Pacific Design Center’s Silver Screen Theatre. Immediately following the film, composer/SCL President Dan Foliart moderated a Q&A with director, writer, producer and actor George Clooney and composer Alexandre Desplat, who is a member of French performing right society SACEM but chooses BMI to represent him in the U.S. Pictured are BMI’s Ray Yee; Desplat; Laura Engel, partner in Kraft-Engel Management; Clooney; Foliart; and Richard Kraft, partner in Kraft-Engel Management.

OK, I'm way behind the times, but I watched IOM tonight. LOVED it!!! Mr. Desplat's score was great. George's directing was WOW. Ryan was outstanding. Loved the intensity between George and Ryan in the kitchen. Blew me away!
