Italian magazine "CHI" director Alfonso Signorini revealed that the wedding will take place this weekend in a location on Lake Como but not near his house.

I really wonder 

firstly: How does he know? If you hope to get some wedding pics to publish you would not say anything....

secondly: Why does he give the infos? Even though he doesn't get the pics first hand he could have hired a paparazzi and see if he get some shots....why make it public?

thirdly: really wonder if the wedding was really moved and when yes why? Weddings are not easy to move....

The interview shows that marriage MAY BE early 'cause there are locations on the lake exhausted, not on the ground' in Laglio and perhaps even on Lake Como then Sugnorini Alberto speaks of Amal saying that she stands up well to the quiet life of villa Oleandra and that the maximum shift to the Villa d'Este, Clooney and 'a creature of habit and she seems to feel good being there'.

Why does the wedding have to be on a weekend, a lot of people get married on a week day

It could be this weekend. Grant is already there, and it'll still leave them three weeks for honeymoon before returning to work.

I think Friday for the civil  ceremony if the venue they are using isn't licensed it has to take place in the city hall, If the venue is licensed then it can take place on a Saturday. I would think weekend starting Thursday for events and wedding, Sunday everyone goes home.

Always beware of Alfonso Signorini.  He'll do anything to sell his magazine CHI, most of the time he is wrong; however he is a good friend of Elisabetta Canalis and he has the exclusive to everything she does; he was the first one to announce that she was pregnant, the latest interview of Elisabetta with fiance' Brian on the beach  in CA with photoshoot of the couple were taken by a CHI group sent there by Signorini and published only by CHI.  However, Elisabetta is feeding Signorini with all the right information but I don't think George is, so I would take Signorini's (also known and Alfonsina in Italy) with a grain of salt. 
I have listened to the video and Signorini mentions the wedding being anticipated; however the location is supersecret and still unknown but everything points out to an earlier marriage.  HOW??? He has however good words for Amal; that she has accepted his quiet life divided between Villa Oleandra and the grill of Villa d'Este (he knows the menu by heart), she is classy, elegant and a good match.

Every time I see the Chi headline "un bimbo en arrivo" I have to laugh. In the US "bimbo" has a very different meaning! LOL!

(I thought the Italian word for baby was "bambino". Is "bimbo" slang for baby?)

Bambino and bimbo are the same thing.

Well we will know when it is over I think.

Since Amal was spotted at Alexander McQueen's shop on Sept 4 I doubt the wedding is this weekend. Hardly time for alterations to be made.

I'm thinking final fitting for the gown and try on with accessories. It is probably already in Italy If the wedding is between this weekend and next.

Except that she's due  in Athens for the 11th.............

 Are you saying you want her to get married in a PURPLE gown?! I agree, she looked really good in it, but can you imagine the kerfuffle?!! - Maybe McQueen can make it for her in white.

It would be a shame to have the wedding so close to Jolie Pitt and Eli, it would automatically invite comparisons by the public, and you can never win 100% in that arena.  Also, Stacy's baby pictures may surface, and it all becomes too messy, too much Clooney, and may not be the best for the brand. Over exposure in a condensed time frame, with many angles, is never a good thing.

I'm happy to wait.  Maybe after Christmas?

I don't see why anyone would compare their weddings. If any one compares it will be the press who have nothing better to do.  I don't think George or Amal care about the other events this is their wedding and should happen when they want it . I think it will be within the next week .

I agree with Annemarie. I really don't think they read all the gossip written about them. They have very full lives and are spending time planning what they want to be special for them and their close friends and family. I just hate that we can't know what's going on.

Well we're nearing closer to the witching hour if this wedding is supposed to happen this weekend.

It's 5 am ish in Como and if there's a wedding tonight we're only about what, 12 hours or so away?

If he sold the photo, he's earn a lot of money.

The most famous bachelor in Hollywood get married, magazines can't wait to have photos of his big day.

This has been talked about in the press here since Brad and Angie's wedding pictures were published. Print media sales are down substantially because of the internet. Lower circulation means fewer advertisers, which means less money for the magazines. A lower budget for them means less to spend on celebrity photos.

The one I feel sorry for is Stacy. If any print outlet wants to publish pictures of George and Amal's wedding they won't waste a penny on a used-to-be celebrity. They'll wait and see if they can make a deal with George - he's much more likely to boost their sales than she is. Maybe she can get some attention after his photos are published, but I don't think she'll get much money.

I've not heard any firework sounds coming across the English Channel from Italy yet !

Time to be honest.  I'd never seen Ides before So I decided to watch.  I didn't realise Jennifer Ehle played George's wife in it.  I remember she played his girlfriend in Michael Clayton but her scenes never made the final cut.  I wonder if he gave her the part in Ides because of that?  Sorry, off topic.
