George Reported to Be on a Yacht in Dubai with Amal

Seems like Mr.Clooney is/was in Dubai meeting the parents of Ms.Alamuddin. Or at least her father and her siblings, because her mother stayed in London. Can be true or maybe not. (don't shoot the messenger    ) Link for the article enclosed. No actual pictures included.

La relation est-elle en passe d'être officialisée ? Y a-t-il une (petite) chance qu'elle soit la bonne ? Peu importe : après avoir présenté la pretty attorney d'origine libanaise Amale Alameddine à ses parents, Nick et Nina Clooney, puis à Barack et Michelle Obama, l'überGeorge a souhaité rencontrer la famille de sa dame. C'est chose faite. Papa Ramzi et ses enfants, Tala, Samer et Ziad (avec Rima), qui avaient hâte de disséquer de près celui qui a craqué pour leur fille et sœur, se sont retrouvés sur le bateau de la star amarré au large de Dubaï. Et dans la sphère intime, protégés des flashes des photographes, ils ont passé Clooney à la loupe... Une fois cette curiosité un peu excessive mais finalement très naturelle, une fois les ego comblés, flattés, les hearts ont chaviré, et c'est dans une ambiance chaleureuse et supercool que la famille a trinqué à la romance du couple, avant de se quitter avec de goulues embrassades. Qui dit mieux ?

Pour mémoire, début mars, l'on parlait déjà des deux tourtereaux, quand Clooney était accompagné de la ravissante brunette pour une projection privée, à la White House, de son cinquième film Monuments Men.


PS : Rencontrée avant tout le monde à Londres, maman Bariaa est déjà conquise et n'a pas fait le déplacement.

The relationship is she about to be formalized? Will has a (small) chance it will be good? No matter: after presenting the pretty attorney Lebanese Amal Alameddine his parents, Nick and Nina Clooney and Barack and Michelle Obama, the überGeorge wanted to meet the family of his lady. It's done. Ramzi dad and his children, Tala, Samer and Ziad (Rima), who were eager to dissect nearly one who fell for their daughter and sister, were found on the boat moored off the star in Dubai. And in the private sphere, protected flashes of photographers, they spent Clooney magnifying glass ... Once this curiosity a little excessive but ultimately very natural, once the ego filled, flattered the hearts capsized, and c ' is in a warm and supercool that the family drank the romance of the couple, before leaving with hugs greedy. What could be better?

Memory in early March, there was already talk of the two lovebirds, when Clooney was accompanied by the beautiful brunette in a private screening at the White House, his fifth film Monuments Men.


PS: Met before everyone in London, mum Bariaa already conquered and did not move.

From what I can glean with my long-ago high school French, they ask if the couple is formalizing the relationship. After presenting her to President Obama, George wanted to meet Amal's family; he met the mother in London, and then the father and siblings on the yacht. A good time was had by all.

I think I read somewhere that Dubai is one of the governments Amal has advised. Not sure on that but I think she has some kind of business there.

Maybe this was a working vacation for Amal and the yacht is a way for George to have some privacy.

This is a new culture for George, he will enjoy the cuisine the Arab hospitality, mixing with new ppl. Dubia is THE MOST western state in the UAE ... it's not Damascus, infact about a million miles away from it.

A yacht on the Persian Gulf this time of year would be heavenly...

He needs to spread his wings a bit, he works hard, so why not.  Change always inspires a man.

However, on a personal note, this is just 'cos I'm a selfish little B****.  I wish him to spend a bit more time alone, just to sit quietly and listen to nothing/or just inside himself.  To go to bed alone, and wake in the middle of the night and write down his dreams... sort of stuff you can't do when your heads in a new relationship.  Como alone would be my preferred... But a new experience is a cool second...

Also, nice for ppl who were concerned for him, he is safe and very well

Being serious for a moment...

First, I take George at his word that he was going to spend this time reconnecting with friends and family, and taking some down time after working so hard for more than a year.  Starting a new relationship would be counteractive to that.

Second, I think George, good sport that he was about the "flying off into space" joke, and being a person who pretty much does what pleases him, has nonetheless taken note of the prevailing opinion about his personal life. He  doesn't want to be a laughingstock. Not because he takes things personally, but because he needs to be taken seriously. Amal, professional and accomplished as she is, is still just thirty-six, only a couple of years older than his usuals. Her career is more than respectable, but a relationship with her still leaves him open to the same criticism.

Third, I think that 'Monuments Men, ' as well as it has done, was expected to be more. I think he takes a lot of pride in the good that the film has brought about, and he has more than enough reason to be proud of his direction and production, but after a year and a half of working so hard on it and 'August: Osage County' and coming up short in critical recognition, he is in regrouping mode. He did the right thing by delaying its release, but that had to have an effect, after the anticipation. And will what he and Grant have lined up next force the same kind of choices? What does he have to do to get the one thing I think he truly wants that he doesn't have: a directing Oscar? I don't see him allowing a new relationship to interfere with his time of reflection.

Finally -- and this is more subjective and baseless than anything above -- AA seems more to me a woman that he 'should' like, rather than one he does. I'm not saying there aren't common interests and compatibility, or even that they wouldn't make a good couple. Just that I don't see 'it.' The few pictures I've seen make me think it's more "Why not?" than "I have to do this." I think she checks all the boxes except the 'passion' one, and that would be the only reason for him to deviate from his MO.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

A priority needs to be given to personal life and relations....if you have money...why do you need the approval of the public and fans?

To say he wants to be taken seriously is funny...because he has mostly made a very popular name for himself by being down to earth and not taking himself seriously.

To me...as I said in other posts he is full of contradictions.

He doesn't take his personal self seriously, however, he takes his work VERY seriously. He wants acceptance in his endeavors and I believe that he's very content with his personal life and relations with his friends and family. If he wants and/or needs sexual gratification, I am certainly sure that is being fulfilled too.

Trouble is as I said the other day...sometimes the way you live your life gives you all over credibilty.

When my mom became a fan the other day...on seeing GC and his new movie MM...she wasn't seeing the playboy image and took him seriously.

Sometimes all you see is the celebrity and they are known for that rather than there work.

Me for example why did it take 30 years for me to notice GC up until two weeks ago...when they started the promotions for the movie.

Malls are huge, everything is big in Dubai (debt was astronomical too, when I visited there, all work no pleasure at all, but then they had Abu Dhabi...) I like to think that every place has something interesting about it, still today I can´t think of what it could be in Dubai. Maybe airport, terminal 1 even though you need to be in shape to run full marathons to survive there. Katie needs accurate and daily updated GPS there!

He is on a yacht, good, on a desert (in town) it´s too hot, unbearable between april and october.

I think this is good news. He seems traditional, meeting parents right away and all old fashion stuff. Let´s hope this time it will last. It´s not his last chance or he´ll be toast, but would be nice if he really settled down finally.

What to believe? Ex-colleague of mine is in Dubai for Commodity Conference (we´ll see if they can talk gold up again) but hasn´t reported seeing any celebrity/star this time. And usually he is very lucky, ending up partying with Robbie Williams or standing next to the hottest supermodel at the moment.

We need pics.
