Nice digs! It doesn't sound like there's a lot of room for staff on the yacht, though. Where will they put the nannies? Two four year olds can't really be allowed to run around unsupervised on a yacht.

Mm, I think His Nibs said on one of those Zoom things that they had only ever had one.
But I think one of the pix of them arriving included the Italian cook...so maybe she's involved
more than we think - and of course there's bound to be staff... Not a bad gig so far, Lizzy!

"It is believed that..."
"They are said to be staying..."
"It is rumoured that..."
No facts, just rumors.
It must drive the tabloids and the paps mad not to know exactly where they are...

Couldn't agree more, Carol. Put-a-pin in an array of available yachts for hire for the right answer!
And then take a another guess whether they'll actually use the one that they might rent.....

I'm betting they'll spend most of their time at Papillon House. Not sure what they need the yacht for, except that they're rich and George likes to be on the water, so why not. Nice life!

I busted out laughing when I saw photos of the blinding white couches on that yacht. With 4 year old twins running around? Woo. I certainly hope the nanny came along. It would be a full time job just making sure they didn't bust anything up in there.

A waterslide, wet bar and two ensuite bathrooms: Inside the $9,000-a-night luxury superyacht George and Amal Clooney are using while in the Whitsundays as actor films his new movie Down Under
By NICOLE DOUGLAS FOR DAILY MAIL AUSTRALIAPUBLISHED: 22:00 EST, 10 November 2021 | UPDATED: 02:18 EST, 11 November 2021
George Clooney, his wife Amal and their four-year-old twins Ella and Alexander are currently in the Whitsundays as he films his new movie, Ticket To Paradise.
And while it's believed the family are staying at the state-of-the-art Papillon mansion on Hamilton Island, they're also thought to be spending time onboard the incredibly luxurious 82-feet Alani superyacht as the actor travels to and from set.
The jaw-dropping five-star vessel can accommodate up to six guests overnight, and features a sprawling lounge area with a huge TV and a dining setting for eight.

While it's not thought to be the Clooney family's main place of residence for their stay Down Under, they are believed to be using the superyacht to travel in style - or to spend time together when George isn't filming.
George, Amal and the twins are said to be staying at Hamilton Island's Papillon house; a seven bedroom, seven bathroom mansion designed by renowned architect Chris Beckingham.
Set on the quiet northern end of the island, Papillon is a short buggy ride to all of the island's key attractions.

According to Nine News, Amal was spotted in a buggy earlier this week after visiting a day spa on the island.
The vast home is set on 2,661sqm of land - meaning guests can enjoy the ultimate in privacy and seclusion.
Meanwhile, George's co-star Julia Roberts is rumoured to be staying at Qualia on Hamilton Island.

Digs: Meanwhile, George's co-star Julia Roberts (right) is rumoured to be staying at Qualia on Hamilton Island
Julia would likely stay at the resort's private north-facing Beach House which boasts private lap pool and secluded location.
The Beach House features a main bedroom and en-suite bathroom, a spacious entertaining area, 10-person dining room and a 12-metre infinity edge private pool.
It also features a well-appointed separate guesthouse for friends or family.
In Ticket to Paradise, George and Julia play a divorced couple who travel to Bali in a desperate bid to stop their daughter, played by Kaitlyn Dever, from getting married.
The movie will be filmed entirely in Queensland, with the picturesque Whitsundays doubling for Bali.

Lizzy no worries the yacht has it's own crew. I'm guessing that furniture is stain guarded drunk adults spill things as well. Maybe they use it for little trips and to amuse the kids.
If they actually rented it at all.

Hmmm. It’s all a guessing game by the media. If they get pics of George and family on the yacht then maybe they’ll have a story.

Apparently they still own the E 53rd St condo. The NY Post ran an article today on the last available apartment in the building, using being G&A's neighbor as a selling point. Anyone got $4.95 million for a 2 bed, 2 1/2 bath flat? Wanna chip in?

Lizzy, do you have an idea if there is tax advantage to buying property in the States - so
many famous names seem to 'flip' houses as a way of investment?
(Not that I think it would necessarily apply to George because he pays his taxes in the UK)
I still think the NY flat was bought with the UN in mind and the number of times they might
need it for witnesses, fellow workers etc. Not exactly a family space - and these days they
all seem to travel together, stay at the Carlyle or rent a townhouse.

Re: Daily Mail - the yacht George Clooney is using off the Whitsunday Islands
PAN - Having always been a renter I'm not sure if there's any across-the-board tax advantage to buying property here. I think it depends on the location of the property. When my mom bought her condo in Florida she was entitled to either a reduced tax rate or a total tax exemption (I'm not sure which) as a "homesteader" - a first time buyer in the state. That doesn't hold true in NY or any other place I'm aware of, but it might. Real estate tax breaks are mostly offered to developers and commercial organisations.
I think celebrities flip properties because they can afford to. They might be looking for a new home or just a pied-a-terre, but they know if it turns out they don't like or need it they can always sell - usually for a decent profit.
