George Clooney gets a real laugh out of Daily News 'House of Turds' cover

George Clooney agrees you should call out a turd when you smell one.

The Academy Award-winning actor said Wednesday he’s optimistic that Republicans will come to their senses and put an end to the government shutdown - but still congratulated the News on Tuesday’s spot-on “House of Turds” front page.

“I never thought I would see the word ‘turds’ on the cover of any publication,” he told Confidenti@l at a Peggy Siegal hosted lunch for his new film, “Gravity,” at The Explorer’s Club on the upper East Side.

“But I laughed out loud.”

how on earth can they take a salary while innocent people have to stay at home with no salary because of their incompetence, seriously they all need to be sacked and replaced with people who can do the job properly
