Have George Clooney and Stacy Keibler broken up?

I think the GF's are under ore scrutiny now because George has brought them out in public more. Sarah Larson was the first girlfriend to walk the oscar red carpet with him, previous ones just got a few premieres. Given his dates are more in the public eye people are going to talk more. Think of the amount of comments generated just from stacy's walk down the red carpet at the oscars.

Exactly. And George is experienced enough to know that.

The only advantage that having a girlfriend during the awards season could be to him is that it could bring him a bit more press attention, but this is George Clooney we're talking about here: does he actually need more press attention? It seems to me that he managed to get plenty of interviews and TV in the run up to the Oscars and none of that was because of Stacy.

Hahahah! IMO Lisa would have sold her grandmother to white slavers to move to LA with George but she wasn't invited by him. She did land a TV show that meant a move to LA but when she got there she found the welcome was less than warm and moved back to the UK again after 3 months.

I'd disagree. In the fan forums there've always been huge levels of vitriol (and I'd also say spite) directed towards his girlfriends.

I believe that Stacy is in fact the first girlfriend that (at least some) fans have found bearable (and some have even slightly liked).

That's funny - sounds like Eli! And Lisa would have spoken perfect English! I guess all of his GFs suffer under the delusion that the attention they get when they're with G is deserved, and therefore, makes them suddenly talented and wanted in Hollywood. I've been following George since after the breakup with Sarah, and it's kinda of fun to watch these girls think they're "all that" only to hit the wall of reality....

I believe that Lisa has never loved Los Angeles and has never moved permanently, Ely moved to Los Angeles and has always lived with him except for short periods who returned to Italy to work! Ely over the past two years has been in Italy for up to 10 days

I was thinking if George and Stacey have broken up he wouldn't want that out it would take away from tonights event. So is she shows up it won't cause any stir. If she doesn't she can say she went to her friends wedding and still no big deal. So all bases are covered unless she doesn't go to either event.

I've seen alot of comments on this board, in different threads, about how independent Stacy is, or that she wouldn't put up with something. Where is anyone getting this idea? Since day one, she's been sliding in back doors, happy to walk two feet behind, showing up only when beckoned....

George just plain gets tired of them, tosses them aside, and shouts NEXT. Even as Elisabetta was quoted recently by her DWTS partner Val, she felt USED. Not a good character trait for our Georgie Porgie. Never love, but a woman is an appendage to drape off his arm at parties and red carpets and for beach photos at Cabo. Check the record. That is their function. If you are expecting some fairy tale romance, you need to follow some other celebrity.

She bought the ticket and George didn't even know until he saw the final guest list. I'm sure the party planners were the ones with the official list and did the seating arrangements and assumed that since they were a couple they should be sat together. Imagine George's face when he looked at his place card and saw he was sat next to cray cray

I don't think Eli was talking about being used by George, but by the Dancing show them using her relationship at every turn. These women know what they are going to get with George his track record is public knowledge, why date him if you don't want to get dumped eventually. These women like the fame and the good things that go with being with him. George doesn't seem to be looking for forever and any woman who meets him needs to accept that it seems to me.

If they do then you've got the wrong female companion. Sure animals miss you when you're gone, as they sometimes wish you'd spend 24/7 with them. I used to tell my cat that I had to go out and earn money for cat food; as cat food doesn't grow on trees. And your chosen partner is not God, and should definitely NOT be judging you or your actions. Perhaps she could tell you to try and take better care of yourself, so that you'll be around a long time and thus able to take care of her and your 4-legged loves (like Eins Clooney) however.

I believe EC said she felt used by DWTS, not George.

Ah, I won't slam ya' TNMC. Frankly, I was disappointed to learn she was at the fundraiser. I know I said I thought they were still together, but I secretly hoped I was wrong. Oh well. It is what it is (....or is it?) We don't really know what the hell's going on IMO.

I suppose with the USED comment it maybe went both ways, Dancing With The Stars needed a higher level celebrity connection with George Clooney and I did read it kept George's name in the press for the upcoming Oscar season. I don't know who was pulling the strings DWTS producers AND/OR George but she landed on the show whomever decided. Elisabetta did not like all the Clooney references on the show because she wanted to stand out on her OWN. I am reading between the lines that she did NOT APPROVE of the George link as it was televised, and they never asked her about it.

Well she missed the other big event so missing this one wasn't going to happen. He also wasn't going to announce a break up before last night it would take attention away from the event. They are probably friends with benefits, so they enjoy each others company and she does her thing he does his.

Although I voted they are still together I do remember he was in couple mode before he and SL broke up too...just sayin...

Adding on: I think he does like her so even if it is almost over or not he needed to dispel the break up rumors. Also I think he paid for her ticket....it's his way of donating again and getting around the fact that he has reached his limit of donations. She would need to do two appearances to pay for this...unless her pilot paid that much money. The people who were there could fund a small country with how much they are worth. Anyway just my thoughts....

Here's another wild idea. There are those on the internet that claim G is gay. Unfortunately this could hurt sales of G's upcoming films, especially in the more conservative international market. Especially since the liberal attendees at the dinner were pushing Obama to support the marriage equality legislation, maybe G's behavior in being very affectionate with SK were to dispel any crazy rumors about his sexuality. Now if you read some of the more logical comments online, you might get the feeling that SK IS a contracted escort, and an excuse for womanizing G to bed hop among the many willing girls who welcome his post-midnight visits. Expensive gifts take the place of public dinners out and bike rides; after all he does have an "official girlfriend." Many men who have a contract (legal marriage) have mistresses on the side, because they can.

Elizabeth never said that it was used by George. Val reported that she felt used by the program DWTS because always spoke of referring to George and this very unnerving.

I think that you are looking at G's relations with girls from a biased point-of-view. There are many women who have been burned by standard romantic relationships. Or they might not have found their soul mate either. In the past sexual pleasure was confined to marriage. G treats his girls far, far more generously than many men. Also many girls would eagerly seduce him to fulfill their own fantasies, apart from his looks and charm. Who's fault is it that the wannabes don't have the ability to take career advantage of G's connections? I have said before that the entertainment industry, in part because of the required long separations and conflicting career demands, plays by different rules.

For example when I told an acting acquaintance that I'd gotten a small principal part on the soap, "General Hospital," he asked if I'd secured it "on my knees?" Of course I laughed and said that he should know that the casting director was gay, and I didn't play that game. I'm sure I've lost many, many major parts by not taking advantage of "offers." Anyway I never knew how the game was played, of if I was attracted to the star what a friendship really entailed. You would not believe how aggressive many beautiful girls are on sets. I'll never forget one stunner who kept trying to "be friendly" to the very gay lighting grip, one of the lowest positions of power on the set. That's why I sometimes wonder if G uses a contract escort to keep the hordes of "hungry" girls at a distance.

Us Magazine - isn't that the gossip rag that has reliably been UNreliable in their 'news' reporting? Isn't that the publication that George publicly refuted over their allegations that Ely was trash texting him and Stacy?

Any reports of open affecton like they (or any other gossip publication) describe, I hold in suspect, as it doesn't seem to me that George would be so ostentatious in the presence of his high level guest(s). I think it's a sensationalized story.

I am beginning to think that there is a language or cultural barrier. The twit from SK makes her sound to me like a "real twit," beyond trite, silly, meaningless. Why must SK choose such over-used words; great fodder for stand-up comics?

Would having a contract girl keep other women at a distance ? Some women don't respect wives why would they show any respect or care about a girlfriend . Some women will try no matter what .

Of course some girls will try no matter the existence of a contract; some even find it more appealing to try and "steal" a man. Just saying that like in a real marriage, a contract gives a man an excuse not to take a girl out in public. Just ask Clint Eastwood.
