George Clooney, the Academy Award winning actor and humanitarian, is scheduled to be the featured speaker for Brilliant Lecture Series’ May 3 event.
The Brilliant Lecture Series, a Houston nonprofit organization, brings international leaders, philanthropists and entrepreneurs to Houston to help inspire and support new ideas.
The nonprofit said it chose Clooney to speak because he has been recognized for his humanitarian work throughout the world. He has been involved with initiatives including the Satellite Sentinel Project, a satellite imagery analysis project; the Not on our Watch Project, which brings attention to international crises; and the United Nations , at which he is a messenger of peace.
The Brilliant Lecture Series event featuring Clooney is scheduled to take place at the Brown Theatre at Wortham Center. Tickets are open to the public, and start at prices of $25 and are priced up to $150.

Oh Dear....HANDS again.... lol!

Three cowboys are sitting around a campfire, out on a lonesome Texas prarie, each with the bravado for which cowboys are famous.

A night of tall tales begins.

The first one says, "I must be the meanest, toughest cowboy there is. Why, just the other day a bull got loose in the corral and gored six men before I wrestled it to the ground by the horns with my bare hands."

The second cowboy can't stand to be bested.
"Why that's nothing.
I was walking down the trail yesterday and a fifteen-foot rattlesnake slid out from under a rock and made a move for me.
I grabbed that snake with my bare hands, bit its head off and sucked the poison down in one gulp.
And I'm still here today."

The third cowboy remained silent.....silently stirring the coals

This looks as if it's along the same lines as the one in Sydney. $2500 for benefit dinner at the Brilliant Lectures Series.

Great opportunity to him to raise awareness for Satellite Sentinel, south Sudan and Darfur and all the other causes close to his heart.

Wonder if Jon Prendergast will be with him.

Let's hope there are a lot more

Hi Everyone
If any of you make it to Texas and get within shouting distance of GC, please tell him theres a lass in Australia who's absolutely certain that hes been waiting for me his whole life!!! HA HA.
Pros:
Can't marry him (my partner says it would be bigamy!)
Not interested in more kiddies
Love travel, animals, motorbikes, fast cars, movies, eating in fancy restaurants (well heck any eatery will do me)
Would happily sit there for days on end watching all his movies with him (with one or 2 exceptions)
Beyond discrete

Cons:
Not 5 foot 10
Not blond
Dont prance around in my underwear
Can't wrestle
Camera shy (that could be a real con)
Dont like being told what to do or what to say (that could become a problem, oh well)

Well anyway its worth a shot, maybe he needs someone who actually lives in the real world for a change!! Give Flowers
