Craig Restaurant is very in with the celebs, got a write up in the New York Times and it is in LA. I am sure there are a lot of bottom feeder paps that just hang out there waiting. He also knows how to work the gossip and give the girl a lot of attention, putting his hand on her leg and having her run her fingers through his hair I have seen descriptions of that with other girls.. They also describe him putting his head on the table in cute way, one of the first pictures of him and stacy together in August he was doing that.

I have to disagree with some - they went to a celebrity hangout so knew there would be paps. IMHO she was p*ssed at George not the paps. Everyone's been harping all over the net that they have not gone out to dinner. So, do you think she'll allow him to take her to a place that you can't get papped. LOL!

I'm wondering if that was really Grant. If the blonde walking out after SK, was part of the group, that wasn't Lysa unless it was some type of dinner meeting.

Actually if it was Grant and Lysa Heslov I would have loved to hear the conversation. What could Stacy and Lysa Heslov have in common after a few minutes. Lysa is in her forties, married, children and very involved with social causes. A friend of mine said Stacy looked spacey,maybe to many cocktails. I wonder if stacy wanted to go out to a clubbing with friends after their dinner.

Just thought of something - I'm thinking that wasn't Grant. If spy knew it was George's producing partner than why didn't he use Grant's name? I think spy was a restaurant employee making some extra money on the side slipping tips to People Mag. People knows Grant's name and they didn't print it so spy really didn't know who the guy was.

Maybe spy overheard some of the conversation and it was talk about movie roles and they decided Cray wasn't for them and that's why she's upset.

OK, so this whole dinner date article is saying that they had a 4-hour dinner? Who in the world sits in a restaurant for 4 hours unless it's a meeting? That is so obviously a mistake, and I wonder what else in the article is wrong?

Well I did, just two nights ago. Met at 7pm for pre-dinner drinks and finally left the restaurant just before midnight. It was a really pleasant five-course dinner with lots of conversation.

Not saying the article isn't a work of fiction from start to finish because it probably is, but a long dinner isn't that unusual.

They do happen Katie, but I bet everyone in your party came out of the restaurant looking happy and contented with the evening out. Not PO'd with each other and barely able to acknowledge each other's existence.

LOL, that's true! And after the amount of wine we'd drunk none of us were getting into cars and driving home, either!

But I do question some of what you've said. George holds on to her hand/fingers, puts his arm around her to swap sides and when they're in the car he says something to her and she smiles. That's quite a long way from 'barely able to acknowledge each other'. And that was all done in barely 10 seconds if you watch the video.

No Katie - some of those pics were taken going in to the restaurant. Have another look at the photos and you'll see that going in George has his jacket open; coming out it's zipped up and he doesn't touch it in the fifty second video. Also look at the pics where his jacket is undone - he's walking from the back of cars to the front and those cars are parked facing the kerb. One of the pics of cracy she is about to step UP onto the kerb. In the video you can clearly see when George steps DOWN from the kerb to go to his car. Also going in - all the buildings are on cracy's right hand side - coming out the buildings are on her left hand side. And he told Canalis to smile on red carpets so why not the same to cracy in the car. I know, I know, we weren't there - but if you can see a couple who haven't had an almighty row, or one of them isn't as mad as hell with the other one, then you're looking at different pics. This is NOT a happy couple. George is polite to the paps but she is sour in the extreme.

I rarely post Charley, but your post is the reason I love this blog and keep coming back. Thanks to your brilliant observation, I now think if she was peeved about something going in to the restaurant, she was still peeved about it coming out, which means I dont buy the touchy feely at dinner ..... and just when I was beginning to think it was more than a casual PR fling with benefits too!

I did have a look at both sets of photos, but I'm really sorry, I still don't see an unhappy couple. I see people not exactly thrilled by the paparazzi meet'n'greet committee but that's it. Sorry, we'll just agree to disagree on this.

It does remind me of a time about two years ago when posters could "definitely" tell that George and Elisabetta had split up by photos of her in Milan. Posters continued to state George and Betty had split by looking at photos about twice a month for well over a year.

My point being that if you really want something to be true, you can read it into almost anything.

True. All about photo assumption. It is great to see both sides of the coin though Katie and Charley. Maybe nothing more than the paps. Although, a few weeks ago she would have been openly thrilled by their presence. Anyways, I cant take George and Stacy seriously. Same old to me. Same old leaks, Eli did it with Euro magazines(much loved, cherished, 18 again comments) and Stacy does it with tweets and guest spots on tv. He spoling her with presents etc and it even sounds like the same list! Same old PR. I cant garner any excitement for George and his girls anymore. Its one big Meh! I think its because I dont have much interest anymore in George. His attitude to women sucks! I was more interested in seeing Cindy on the beach at Thanksgiving as I will be at Christmas as well. Is that terrible for a George fan site? So good on him if he really likes Stacy. Its all too wishy washy and samey for me. I'd be more interested if he liked a girl and kept it private.

JMO as to the shots that Katie posted, it looks like they came out happy then realised the extent of the pap attention that was waiting for them and that they would have the run the gauntlet. With couple of paps, G always seem to handle well but that was a pack. And no-one, unless they called them with intent, would like to be confronted with that.

That would ruin my evening. But I would have had a few cocktails and therefore really wouldn't notice.

Sorry, but Cray FINALLY got her "evening out" with George and I'm suppose to believe she's unhappy with the pap attention. Nope! Not after her tipping paps of her errands during the day. Its a celebrity hot spot. I posted the link to the menu, look at the prices, the average person won't be going there. There were paps going in so they already knew they'd be there going out.

Okay, wanna play the game "they were miffed because of the paps" - then they both did a decent act. I say one of them tipped the paps or they made sure to choose a place where the paps keep watch. As I said this was her first "official" dinner out.

Also, IMHO, she was rude and played with his hair at a dinner table, IMHO so SHE made sure she was noticed as a "loving" couple. As I posted before, I get the "don't trust her vibe" from the beginning. Just thought of something, how can "the spy" know he had his hand on her leg if they were sitting in a booth?

Flynet George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were out for dinner last night in LA. Every pap in the city was there to shoot them. You know what I will always love about him though, no matter how frustrated I am with his girlfriend game?

Straight up, George Clooney is a pro. He understands this is part of the life, this sh-t is what happens in exchange for everything else: Como, the money, the women, the access, the influence. When you choose Hollywood, when you choose the career George has followed, this is what you get. If George Clooney doesn’t cry about it, why are the 20 year old babies on tv shows crying about it??? Please.


As for Stacy, well, more and more it looks like she’s heading to the Oscars. Because HE is heading to the Oscars. Unless she f-cks it up. You know how you f-ck it up with George? You ask for a wedding and some babies. No no, Stacy hasn’t asked for those...yet. But she did post this on her Twitter with the caption:

Could be a nephew or a niece. Could be a friend’s kid. I’m just saying less has scared him away. You know how he is. She’ll have to make up for this baby picture with a nice firm headlock tonight.

Well if Stacy was overwhelmed by the pap attention which I don't believe since a couple of weeks ago the same thing happened when she went out with friends and she laughed and smiled and didn't look as sullen as she does here. Then Stacy shouldn't be walking the red carpets with George cause surely if she can't cope on a simple dinner out where she knew what was going to happen she certainly won't cope on a red carpet.

They were both laughing/smiling as they came out of the restaurant. All she didn't do here was her usual big smile but neither she nor he were looking particularly unhappy.

You know what's really weird? I think her hair in the pics of them leaving the restaurant looks different from when she went in. Leaving, her hair seems straighter, shinier, thicker and longer.

I've got no explanation for that but I guess she did a restyle in the bathroom before leaving.

Ok I'll try to make my comments in order.

Exiting restaurant not holding hands, just holding fingers, not smiling, smirking, smouting, etc. etc. If you've ever been in a semi dark restaurant and then walked out to a bank of flashing pap bulbs you'd be literally blind. So most people would be too busy trying to walk and not fall down given that you can't see to bother too much about remembering to smile so some fan can have the satisfaction of cutting you down for smiling or cutting you down for not. And the one thing that everyone seems to forget is that we are only seeing the shots the magazine decided to buy not the hundreds of other shots the photographer has that might tell a different story - cause it's all about what sells and not necessarily what is the truth.

As to the hopeful "kiss off during dinner" scenarios being thrown about in this thread - sorry to burst your bubbles ladies, but that's not George's style. If he were going to give her the kiss off SHE'D be the last person to know about it. George just moves on - haven't y'all been paying attention? And if you don't get it like Sarah, he just orders you to get your shit out of his house and takes off with the boys while you're doing it.

PDA's in the restaurant? He's been there and done that so it ain't anything new. There are pictures of him with Grant, Cindy and Rande sitting at the table while he sucked face with Sarah, so not only are his friends used to it - so are his fans who've followed him for a while.

George isn't doing anything different than he's done with any other woman he's dated. He'll be content to continue as long as Stacy doesn't get too specific about their relationship on her twitter account. What will happen like all of his other babes is that SHE'LL start to make demands (her bio clock is ticking you know) he'll dig in his heels (like the stubborn Taurus he is) and she'll one day find herself opening a pizza joint or a yoga studio.

good synopsis LD the only thing I would add is that he would not give her the big kiss off in a public restaurant and with other people going out to dinner with them. He would call her over to the house, kiss her off there, tell her to get her things and have her sign some sort of confidentiality agreement. By the way it also shows me he can't even go out to dinner with her alone. If he really wanted to get the gossip sites going. He could have had a romantic dinner with her alone. I wonder how much alone time they really have.

@Lovelylois, also with a couple of exceptions - that confidentiality agreement has already been signed. She will just get a reminder and probably not from George but from someone on his team.

And I'm not so sure he even confronts them to tell them it's over. It's more like he just starts to drift away, stops texting so much, there's hints of breakup for months and then --- presto! Rumors of and finally sighting of George with another woman.
