George Clooney & Stacy Keibler: Hollywood Awards Lovers Posted Monday October 24, 2011 9:46 PM GMT
He’s one of Tinseltown’s top leading men, and George Clooney received a special trophy at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards tonight (October 24).

Joined at the event by his new lady Stacy Keibler, the “Men Who Stare at Goats” star was given the 2011 Hollywood Actor Award for his performance as an emotionally-distant husband and father in “The Descendants.”

Carlos de Abreu, the event’s founder and executive director, told press, "George Clooney delivered a flawless and passionate performance in Alexander Payne's human drama The Descendants. Clooney continues to shine as one of Hollywood's most gifted actors. We're delighted to honor him at this year's Hollywood Film Awards."

George joins the ranks of previous Hollywood Actor Award recipients like Jackie Chan, Russell Crowe, Ewan McGregor, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Yep sure looks like he is. That dress is just bad! Looks like she is going for a run afterwards. LOL They have been practicing but that dress is just ugly I don't care if it is in fashion which I'm not so sure it is. Like her hair so much more like this though it softens her so much. That stylist needs a good shaking...Glad George got the award.

I liked the color and the top and then I got to the bottom of it....oh well.....1 out of 4 ain't bad!

I love the color purple, I like the top of the dress, but I did not look at the bottom. I guess she has her shorts on and ready to take off. It looks good from the top up. but I guess George like her and the dress, so he seems happy with it. I guess the public is not. Get a dress stylist. bg

I can only assume her thought process is "Strapless = Classy".

Why is she wearing knock off dresses? Dresses by unknown designers that seems to be coping what has been done earlier by more orginal designers and/or generic copies of dresses that have gone before. This dress "style"was done at one of the Transformer premieres by the Vic Secret model who "acted" in the film back in June. .(Link to photo)And even for her, it was hard look to pull off but the two tone made it work. Not to mention the figure.

All those gowns whilst overseas that seemed too dressy for the event then at the first event, a gala that she could dress up for, she chooses this. I do not understand.

Af first I thought the dress was gorgeous love the colour...not fussy on the 'bare' shoulders look...but the bottom half is weird I thought at first she had part of it crumpled up and not pulled down properly....shame!

Let's just hope George managed to stand on it again!!! Strapless always worries me....you never know!!! Tape anyone??

In the pic where Cracy and George are looking at each other....George's head seems sooo much bigger than hers.....and since he's shorter, he actually looks like a "little person" here....

And has she been called his "girlfriend" yet? (Except in the youtube video above)....I don't recall seeing that title....always been gal pal, lady love, latest love....etc.

I read somewhere, may even have been through here, that Stace doesn't like George's hair to be grey, and that he's darkend up for her. In those pics by Lavetal, Gee does seem darker. He still looks mighty fine, but should be accepted as he is and boohoo to Stace for trying to change him!!!

If so... what happened to his quote about aging? I can't tell for sure because all of the background color it could affect the outcome.

I think it really depends on how the light hits him. Closer shots seem to show darker than distance shots. Again, I don't think he'd change it for anyone but himself.

Agree that it's the way the light hits, plus whatever product he uses to keep his hair in place. When he's not "on" as in at an event, he doesn't use any product and his hair looks greyer, when he is going to something like this he does use something which makes it look darker.

George Clooney & Stacy Keibler at the H’wood Film Awards: busted & budget?

Last night was a pretty great night for premieres and galas and events, so today is going to be full of photo-heavy posts. First up: the Hollywood Film Awards (presented by Starz). The HFA got a surprisingly good turnout considering it’s not really a big awards show. The “stars” of the evening were definitely George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler. As we know from yesterday’s post, Keibler is now charging up to $25,000 a night for these “personal appearances”.

Stacy is wearing this purple Maria Lucia Hohan (the same designer of the dress Stacy wore in London). It’s awful, isn’t it? Stacy had been steadily improving, but I fear we are witnessing a D-list relapse! It looks like a really bad pageant dress, only I don’t even think that pageant girls wear these kinds of boob-embellishment gowns anymore. Plus, the bottom half is sheer, and that dress feature is… rather tacky. In this instance. Um, are those built-in black bicycle shorts underneath the sheer skirt? WTF? Why do Clooney’s girls always look like strippers that got off of an eight-hour shift? And why does Clooney keep pointing to Stacy’s poor vagina?

The only 2 things I have to say about all this is:

Did she charge him the old rate of $10,000 or the new rate $25,000 for last nights premiere.

I loved the dress from the waist up but when I noticed the see-through lower half I lowered my opinion. What is with the granny underpants? Maybe I'm comparing her to Eli, but it seems she doesn't have too much of a waistline. And every dress she wears shows off her "pot belly." IMO

Wow patty, celebitchy again? I wonder if this is the kind of publicity he wanted?

I read the comments on celebitchy and this one (#2) really cracked me up.

"I think he is pointing to the disaster that is this dress, especially the bottom part. If my date pointed at my dress/vagina with a WTF look on his face, I would beat the crap out of him."

I don't think he was looking for this type of publicity... if he was then congratulations, George! If not... sorry!

Don't know what he's looking for, but wonder if he gives a tinker's damn. Could it be that he's kind of embarassed by getting this award, and this is the only way he can think to "tone it down"?
He rarely acts seriously when these things happen. He likes to be complimented for his work, but I don't think he feels that things like Hollywood Actor of the year are what he's looking for. Hence, the comedy aspect. Can't wait to hear his speech.

A few people have commented that he looks ill at this award. I hope it's not true. I need him to be around for a lot of years to come.

Today, Lainey gave her opinion about George and Stacy and her dress. She seems to be having some difficulty with George's selection to the red carpet lately. She still can't understand why he has difficulty going it alone for a bit. Good read. Did not see Lainey's column on any of the threads today.

I do not think the age difference but I think Stacy is to make it look strange because she is very tall and big and he is thin and then she looks like a Barbie, a doll out of place next to him!

Looks like George may have seen Waldo since his return to US. The back of his hair looks trimmed up since London, and maybe not so much light grey as before. Can't imagine George taking hair advice from any GF-date-arm candy(just wanted to include all) don't want to leave out any labels oops forgot escort!
The dress looks like a halloween costume, but it does match the background everyone stands in front of for pics.

George dyes his hair to keep salt and pepper, if not, would be white. Too many years that is grizzled (there are pictures where you see that dye their hair during The American), you have never seen a man grizzled remain for twenty years? I have not!

George Clooney Talks Feeling "Lucky," Cuddles Up to Stacy Keibler at Hollywood Film Awards

The George Clooney and Stacy Keibler love train is crisscrossing the globe.

Not long after they went public with their first red carpet stroll in New York City at the premiere of The Descendants, they were at it again in Paris for the Ides of March.

And just last night, they were the main attraction at the Hollywood Film Awards presented by Starz, where Mr. Clooney told the packed house that he was a very "lucky" guy.

How so? Read on for the details...

"I was lucky enough to have a hospital show that was on Thursday nights at 10," he said after he was presented with the Hollywood Actor Award from his Descendants costar Beau Bridges. "That changed my career. Forty million people a week. That's a lot."

Clooney didn't feel as lucky standing at the podium last night because the ceremony was being shown on oversize monitors surrounding the stage. With cameras zooming in on presenters and honorees' faces, not a pore or blemish went unnoticed. "It's killing like 20-year-olds—I'm 50! Can't survive that!" Clooney cracked. "That's bulls--t!"

Clooney and Keibler were as cozy as any couple could be. They skipped the red carpet but held court inside the ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. At a table at the foot of the stage, they drank, laughed and shared a few kisses throughout the evening.

fter Clooney received his statuette, handlers quickly whisked Keibler backstage, where she joined Clooney in the greenroom before the silver fox returned to the stage to present the Hollywood Editor Award to Stephen Mirrione.

Glenn Close picked up the night's Hollywood Career Achievement Award from her Damages costar Ted Danson. She praised the directors of photography, costumers and makeup and hair people who have helped her look "fabulous" in her dozens of movies. "Even though people come up to me on the street and say, 'Oh, wow! You look so much better in life than you do in film,'" said Close, who's getting the Oscar buzz going for her upcoming 19th-century cross-dressing drama Albert Nobbs. "I'm amazed that they think that's a compliment."

Other award winners included the cast of The Help, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michelle Williams, Carey Mulligan, Christopher Plummer and Rango director Gore Verbinski. Anne Hathaway, a very-shaggy haired Ben Affleck, Matt Bomer, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Ewan McGregor were also some of the night's presenters.

Notme, I didn't. I think that purple dress is the worst of the 3 she's seen in. Truthfully, I would prefer the tit-tape one over that. Don't know where her taste comes from.

i loved the color of her dress but damn i have to agree with everyone that it is just awful! I think it is worse that pink's oscar dress from years back (she had this dress and was like this huge bird or something LOL)
