Posillipo IS Naples. If you look at Naples from the sea it's on the west side of the city.

So Posillipo is a suburb of Naples? I just typed it into Google. It is written as a separate town / area to Naples. A neighbour. Maybe we need a good Italy map on the site so when a new Italian town name comes up, I can get my bearings.

Yup, that how all my past splits have worked. And now she is back working. And the dress she is wearing is a knock off copy of the classic Herve Leger bandage dress. Nothing original. Nothing fresh.

I knew I had seen that dress before and I hadn't heard of the designers. Not exactly the work you would expect her to do! She would have gotten plenty of cash so she isn't doing it to pay her rent girl just can't stay away from the cameras. This is going to make her upcoming interview about being heartbroken even harder to swallow. Although she may go the I needed to throw myself into work excuse! Eli needs to get to the states and get whatever her next big television project is up and running! Or the shop maybe this designer is going to be part of it?

Fluffy, were there photos at Rosemary's house/museum? I thought they were just tweets or an announcement. And the meal with his parents, those photos were so obscure and fuzzy I think most people didn't believe them.

My guess is: She was desperate because she knew she wouldn't have a career without George and when she just showed up he and his parents were just too polite to send her away or simply wanted to avoid any kind of scandal or drama from her side, so they allowed her there.

I agree with Natascha. His parents seem like very down to earth, sweet, loving people and they would not be impolite. Plus, they know any scandal/drama would only hurt their son in the long run.

George is an a-list Hollywood star who's 50 years old. Why would he have any problem in turning her away if he didn't want her anywhere? How would she even know where he was unless he'd invited her?

Think about it logically: do you think just anyone can turn up at a private place where George Clooney was staying and be allowed to enter? Likewise, if any of you were holidaying with friends and an ex who you don't like any more suddenly turned up with his parents, what would you do? Just allow them to join you on holiday and get photos taken together?

He's an adult. He was well aware of what Canalis was like before he started dating her (a google search would have shown him all the pics he needed to know) and he chose to be with her.

Absolutely, I lived there for 4 years and is like comparing Manhattan being in NYC. Posillipo is the residential area of Naples, Spaccanapoli is the old historical downtown, Vomero is the hill overlooking the town, Mergellina, where the hydrofoils for the islands departs from, etc..

Katie- I totally agree with you. I have never bought the "poor George he doesn't know how to end things" bit. This guy has been thru many women and IMO knows how to get out of relationships. He is mega star and I think he calls all the shots. I think he chooses the women he does because they appeal to him and because of many differences in life style there is no possibility of permanence. The endings are getting boring because they seem to be the same.

Just wondering in what way does (or did) she appeal to him. I was reading in the latest Celebitchy from a woman who lives in Laglio, Italy and has seen them many times and she noted how kind and frriendly he has been with people he sees while Eli has been acting like a "conceited snot". Also she noted that he mostly ignored her and never acted like he wanted to be with her.
