George Clooney whisked his ultra-glamorous wife Amal Clooney out of Il Gatto Nero as they enjoyed dinner in beautiful Lake Como, Italy on Sunday. 
The power couple were sent off by the wait staff, who had gathered by the exit to bid the duo farewell for the evening.   
Amal, 43, looked incredible in a glossy blue dress with spaghetti straps as she followed her husband, 60, out of the eatery with her dark brunette hair cascading down in loose ringlets.

She accentuated her naturally stunning complexion with a touch of blush and rosy shade of lipstick.
George was a vision of sophistication in his jet black jacket with a budding silver beard.


The beaming crowd smiled from ear-to-ear as the watched the couple leave the restaurant.

George exchanged a few kind words with the staff before jumping inside his awaiting vehicle.

While the couple were thousands of miles away from America, a fireworks display could be seen going off nearby the restaurant. 
George and Amal jetted off to Italy earlier this summer to celebrate their twins' Ella and Alexander's fourth party.
A source told E! News last month the the family 'haven't been there in two years' but they'll be spending the summer at their family home, Villa Oleandra.
They added: 'They brought along their giant St. Bernard puppy, Rosie. They will be spending as much of the summer as they can in Lake Como.'

Meanwhile, the Midnight Sky star – who wed the human rights lawyer in 2014 – recently said he didn't realise there was something missing in his life until he met his spouse.
Speaking on Today back in March, he said: 'There are some people, their goal was: "I have to have children." Mine wasn't. I wasn't looking at life, going: "My life will be unfulfilled without children." I felt like I had a pretty full life.
'Then I met Amal and realized that my life had been pretty empty. And then when you throw these two kids in there, then suddenly you realise how incredibly empty it was.'

George admitted fatherhood has also made his life less empty, and explained having children has given him 'everything' that Hollywood could not.
He said: '[I have] a sense of belonging and a sense of home and unconditional love – all the things that you were hoping you could get from a really good career and a dog. You realise that this is a lot more than that.'
And the Ocean's Eleven actor has since been teaching his young children to play pranks on their unsuspecting mother. 
'My whole job really is to teach them terrible things. And I really do enjoy teaching my children to do things that shock their mother.
'And it's fun because, you know, Amal, she'll be talking to a judge on a trial in the Sudan or a trial in Myanmar … she's having very serious conversations and then my son'll come in with a nappy on his head. This is a stroke of genius, you know.'

They look great! I wonder if George had anything to do with the fireworks. Doesn't he usually have a fireworks display on the lake for the 4th?

The July4th fireworks are usually laid on by Villa d'Este which is on the lake below Il GattoNero.

They must have had a fabulous view there. He usually watches from the boat I think.................

I have a feeling Bill Murray is in Cannes this time for a new Wes Anderson film...................

For several years we saw George on the Lake watching fireworks usually with houseguests on board, former gfs and then Amal.  We’ve missed seeing him celebrating on the lake for the past two years.  But looks like the view from the restaurant was pretty spectacular!

I hope someone at home took the twins out to watch the fireworks. I'm a bit surprised G&A didn't do it themselves. It's a really special event for little kids - or are they so British now that they don't celebrate the 4th?

This is a very different year, isn't it - and it's noticeable that they're out and about a lot
less this year (so far). Interesting that they are combining the two events too.

There are several different fireworks events across the lake during the summer - one of them is for Bastille Day - so they're bound to see some while they're there. And who knows - they may be visiting Grandma?

Also in the UK there's always Guy Fawkes night fireworks and bonfires on November 5th.

I'm curious about Guy Fawkes Day. Are the fireworks and bonfires done by the town/city or whatever or do individuals do their own? Here it's both. Fireworks displays are set off in Coney Island, Prospect Park and of course on the river by Macy's. and in all the cities across the country including the national celebration in DC.

That's not even counting all the people who ignore the law and set off all kinds of fireworks all over the streets as if they're trying to blow up the world!. My neighborhood looked and sounded like a war zone until well after one in the morning. Thank God it's only once a year! We seem to have a major addiction to things that go BOOM!

It's a bit of both. In recent years, people have been encouraged to go to organised fireworks shows, for safety reasons, but last year, with Covid, there weren't any, so it feels like everyone did their own. My neighbourhood stank of sulphur!!

Annnnd back on topic, nice to see George back at this restaurant. I always remember it as being the place where Stacy Kiebler (remember her?!) claimed they got food poisoning. Lord, that was a very long time ago! And barely a year after that incident, they were both married to other people!
