They've been happily married since 2014, and share two-year-old twin daughter Ella and son Alexander.
And George and Amal Clooney were in good spirits after a romantic dinner at Gatto Nero restaurant in Lake Como, Italy, on Thursday night.
The actor, 58, beamed as he left the trendy eatery beside the Human Rights lawyer, 41, before they chatted to their friends outside the venue.

While Amal upped the glamour in a red dress, and complemented her bright attire by accessorising with a pair of gold earrings.
Her raven tresses were brushed into a glamorous side-swept style, and she wore light touches of make-up to accentuate her pretty features.

Their outing comes after George revealed he's given up riding motorbikes, after a nasty accident led to being banned by wife Amal. 
Speaking on This Morning earlier this month, the Catch-22 star admitted he planned to carry on riding the bikes until a friend - who was also involved in the accident - decided to give up riding them.
George was hit head-on by a car as he rode a scooter in Italy during filming for the miniseries Catch-22, and was lucky to walk away without a single broken bone.

George told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: 'I was very lucky to pull out of that one, that officially got me off of motorbikes after 40 years.
'There was one of those conversations, we were coming back from the hospital and [Amal] said ''that's it,'' and I thought maybe I can get around this.
'But my buddy who was in the accident said to me ''yeah I'm off.'' Then I was ganged up on.'
Last year on July 10, George suffered the collision during filming for Catch-22, when he was riding his scooter down the road.

Around 8:15 a.m, a car travelling in the opposite direction merged into his lane to make a left turn. Without enough notice, the legendary actor crashed head-on into the car.
Security footage captured the accident and showed him flying into the air after colliding, before crashing down to the ground in a heap.
According to La Nuova, George was taken to John Paul II hospital, where he was given an MRI scan after complaining of a 'slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and an arm.'
Amal (née Alamuddin) rushed to the hospital, though she left with her husband shortly afterward when he got the all clear from his doctors.

Amal and George Clooney summer in Lake Como, Italy, where they famously have a villa. I say famous because they are famous and their friends are famous and they’re always hosting famous people. George has been doing this for a long time – he sounds like an outstanding, master class host. Give him a lifestyle brand. I would shop the f-ck out of a George Clooney lifestyle brand. He would know. He would have the best tips. 
This weekend, the Clooneys are hosting the Obamas. Barack and Michelle Obama have been on holiday with their daughters and other family members in Europe. After spending time in France, their next stop is Milan and on Saturday they’re to attend the Clooney Foundation for Justice charity dinner in Lake Como and according to the Daily Mail, extensive security measures are being put in place to ensure privacy. Basically the town is sealing off the area and imposing fines on anyone who tries to get pictures. That’s for the paparazzi. I wonder, though, if they’ll release any official photos from the event because there’s no way they won’t have an official photographer there. 

This would never happen but here’s the episode of [size=16]7 Days Out that I would want to watch: the Clooney security team and the Obama Secret Service agents working through the security plan. I’ve seen the Clooney security team at work – they’re great at their jobs and, at least in the few times I’ve seen, they’re not assholes about their jobs. In fact, I’ve actually observed one of his main protectors with a smile on his face, looking pretty relaxed, on a few occasions. It doesn’t mean he’s not aware, it’s just probably means that George doesn’t want his crew walking around scowling and aggro all the time. They are, undoubtedly, professionals. Where President Obama is concerned, though, they’d likely not be leading the strategy but ready to support. I just wish we could see how all of that is coordinated. I prefer him with the beard but he looks way younger without.

I do too Doug Ross but I like the change.

I may be the only one here who totally hates the beard, and I'm thrilled beyond belief to see it's gone - at least until he gets tired of shaving again. For now, I think he looks wonderful without the fuzz and at least ten years younger. With the beard and 'stache he looks just like my grandfather!

Lizzy, is your grandfather single? And if he is, can I have his number?

Way2Old - Sorry! He's long passed. Even if he wasn't, you'd have to fight my Grandmother for him and she was one tough cookie! (He was a real cutie, though. )
