They’re settling into parenthood following the birth of twins Ella and Alexander in June.
And after a month long period of adjustment, George and Amal Clooney have swapped their sprawling £25 million home in rural Berkshire for the picturesque surrounds of Lake Como in northern Italy, where the Hollywood couple own a sizeable waterfront estate.
Stepping out as they enjoy what amounts to their first break since welcoming twins, George, 56, and human rights lawyer Amal, 39, appeared to be in high spirits ahead of a dinner date with friends.

The outing comes following claims that George is increasingly worried about the level of security in their homes.
A source told Life & Style that the star has received threats in the past, while he is also concerned that his wife's work as an international human rights lawyer could make her a target.
'He doesn’t feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the English countryside,' the insider explained. 'As soon as Amal found out she was pregnant, he hired former Secret Service agents to assess all his properties and make recommendations for improvement.'

Upbeat: George and Amal appeared to be in high spirits during their latest public appearance 
The couple are settling into parenthood following the birth of Ella and Alexander in the exclusive Kensington Wing of London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Amal's mother Baria Alamuddin recently reflected on the couple's new arrivals, insisting they are 'stunningly beautiful babies'.
In an interview with People magazine, she recalled the moment she first set eyes on the newborn twins and revealed: 'Seeing these two angels, these stunningly beautiful babies cuddled together...
'And seeing the joy on Amal and George’s faces, it’s one of those deeply felt beautiful feelings you can’t express in words.'
She added that the arrival of their twins had left her feeling like the 'most blessed human being on earth'.

Parenthood sure agrees with George and Amal Clooney! The new mom and dad had their first date night out since their twins’ June arrival, looking tanned, rested and stunning! We’ve got the pics.
Most first-time parents to newborn twins look like they’ve been through the ringer, with sleepless nights, constant feedings and generally being in frazzled state 24-7. George and
Amal Clooney are not those people! The glamorous pair stepped out for their first night out on the town after the birth of their babies in June. The couple left the kids at home and headed to a romantic dinner on July 11 near his Lake Como, Italy mansion, looking more incredible than ever! The 56-year-old proud papa was sporting a healthy tan and giant smile while saying goodbye to well-wishers at the Il Gatto Nero restaurant in Cernobbio. However it was beautiful Amal looking red-carpet gorgeous who got all of the attention!
The 39-year-old new mother looked like a dream in a short sleeved creme dress with small flowers on it that showed off her a slight tan. Her makeup was pure perfection, including bright red lips, and her gorgeous long brunette locks were still as shiny and flowing as ever. If she’s been having any rough nights up with little Ella and
Alexander, we sure can’t tell because she was positively glowing! Amal just gave birth to the babies a little over a month ago on June 6, so she’s set the the bar for bouncing back from pregnancy ridiculously high by appearing so insanely glamorous.
The couple has been spending most of their time at their sprawling estate in Berkshire outside of London ever since the babies were born, but we knew it was only a matter of time before they ended up at George’s beloved Lake Como spread. He lives for spending the summers there and this is his first time back at the house as a parent! The couple took a private jet from London to Milan on July 3, carrying their previous little ones in carriers. From their healthy tans, it looks like they’ve been getting plenty of time under the Italian sun instead of cloudy England. A loving marriage, healthy children and gorgeous looks. The Clooneys really do have it all!

It's been a little over a month since power couple George and Amal Clooney welcomed their twins, Ella and Alexander. So what have the new parents been up to? The couple jetted off to Italy, naturally. On Tuesday, they were spotted on a romantic date night at the restaurant Il Gatto Nero near their home in Lake Como, and it's safe to say the parent life looks good on them.
Boasting that new-mom glow, Amal looked chic as ever in a ruffled one-shoulder dress with a delicate floral pattern (and matching red lips). Note taken: Feminine dresses are never a bad idea for date night.

Lol, most of the crap we read is by some unnamed source , so unless the announce what is going on  we will never know.

I do expect them to have a nanny, since they both plan to continue working.

The reports said they'd have a night nanny, so as they were out in the evening, I guess that would cover it.

But really, I'm with Annemarie: until George or Amal personally make a claim, I'm not going to be angry at them for doing something they never said they wouldn't do.   It's not reasonable to expect them to live up to reports made up by entertainment magazines.

Last week I posted photos of Amal and George Clooney arriving via private jet in Italy, on their way to Lake Como where they always spend the summer. Last night they left the twins at the villa to go out for dinner with friends at one of their favourite restaurants where we’ve seen them in years past. In fact, if you didn’t know that these shots were new, you might assume they were from any other year they’ve been there, and that it was, as usual, a late night full of drinking and carousing. This, of course, is not just any other year. Ella and Alexander are just over a month old. So, according to locals, the Clooneys left earlier than they usually do when they’re out in Como, presumably to get back home to see – or feed? – the babies.
So it’s still Como Life but it’s Como Life, adjusted. Slightly modified. No more ragers, at least not until the kids get older. The next rager might be next summer, when Ella and Alexander turn 1. And instead of popping champagne bottles it’ll be balloons for a kids’ party which… I kinda really want to see that there. Clooney Como used to the site of scenes from the Oceans movies and glamourous evening cocktail parties. Going forward, maybe a bouncy castle?

Così martedì sera la coppia, giunta sul Lario nei giorni scorsi, non ha avuto dubbio sulla meta della cena romantica per ritemprarsi dalle fatiche di neogenitori. Così George e Amal, dopo aver lasciato i piccoli Ella e Alexander alla tata si sono presentati dall'amico Paolo Quarantotto per la loro prima uscita insieme dopo la nascita dei gemelli.

A tenerle a bada ci ha pensato una radiosa Amal Alamudin, apparsa in grande forma, segno che ha già superato i postumi del parto. 
Secondo il quotidiano britannico Clooney avrebbe deciso di trascorrere l'estate nell'amata Villa Oleandra non solo per il suo feeling con il lago di Como, ma anche perché è preoccupato del rischio attentati in Inghilterra. Sia lui che la moglie hanno ricevuto minacce in passato per il loro impegno sul fronte dei diritti umani. Addirittura sembra che quando Amal era ancora incinta avrebbe assunto ex agenti dei Servizi Segreti per valutare il livello di sicurezza delle proprie dimore e farsi dare consigli per migliorarla. She tends to wear dresses that make her look pregnant , I remember a few years ago it was thought she might be pregnant.

I'm a bit confused by the last benex post. The picture of George has him in a white shirt. He was wearing black in the other pics. I don't understand the Italian text in the post but can read that that pic is supposedly from the same restaurant ... maybe it's from a previous year?
