Glad you like them, one thing i used to do a lot when younger was to pull out my Dads world atlas and study maps and places I wanted to go. Now the Internet and google earth is my atlas.

Sounds good to me, to this day no matter where I go, I always grab a local map. My fave is the Rand McNally USA map for 1999 that I bought and used to plan our trip

It is normally spelt Gidday but because we aussie's tend to abbreviate words and also use slang a lot it is universally known as G'day.

Good one but sorry to disappoint. It actually comes from the old English greeting of "Good Day" though I think I like your theory of 'George Day' the only problem with that is everyday is "George Day" Yes thinking to much (me thinks it is contagious)

Once I was in L.A. /Californa and I was so impressed how many stars you can see and the Milky Way. You can't see the Milky Way so clear in Germany. It was amazing. Very Happy
