The George Show - Summer Series - Como Edition 2011

With all the usual upcoming commentary on George in Como for the summer again, I thought we could use a place to keep all the sightings, pap shots, tweets and rumours straight and separate from the normal article posts about his films, Darfur and Betty doing interviews (which will all most likely get their own posts). The aim is to keep all the information about his whereabouts and what he is doing over the summer all together in one location for easy access and updates. It also means that we won't swamp the "Where is George now" post as we know where he is (Como), just not what he is doing.

So to start us off for the Summer Series Como edition - the first article that states he is now in Como:

LAGLIO You either love or leave? In recent weeks we have gossip sites on the real drunk (or alleged) love affair Clooney & Canalis. In the beard "is", the two arrived together at Villa Oleandra. The pair reached Laglio last weekend, and perhaps because of bad weather, has not yet seen her around. For now postponed the trip on a Harley and outputs by speedboat, no dinners at favorite restaurants from the star.

Difficult to understand so if Lake Como has been chosen as ground breaking or reconciliation. The feeling is that the love story has a bit worn. It seems that everyone do retreat Larian's own life: he one hand and her other hand. To unravel the mystery around the fact that in addition to the main villa has been opened the annexe, as George Ely and when they are alone.

According to the magazine reviewers who are anticipated in view of a large party of early summer. Hence motivated the opening of the complex and constantly coming and going of chefs and gardeners. What is there to celebrate, it is impossible to know. A wedding? Improbable, since Clooney continues to declare himself allergic to orange flowers.

One might say, but it is not just in times of trouble a couple in love who does everything to be close? It happens only among ordinary mortals? If between C & C are only roses, sooner or later will flourish. Hopefully in Como, for added vitamins even more the already thriving tourism wedding.

The annex is that the building across the street from his main villa? If yes isn't that building the one he uses for editing while in Como? The second Villa next door to the main one, is this what they are calling the annex? The reason I'm asking is if its his second villa then hes expecting guest, if its the editing building then he's going to be working and Grant likely will be showing up soon to help. Either way it's June he is getting ready for his summer guest, hopefully not his wedding to bettabuns!

In the newspaper LA PROVINCIA di Como (Como's local newspaper) they call the annex, the DEPENDANCE which means a guest villa, a smaller second house where you would set up people to give them privacy.

Laglio Clooney owns two villas, Villa Oleandra where is he and Villa
Margherita where they are guests, both houses are connected by a
balcony that he was climbing plants for privacy.

JMO, but George's house looks a bit huge for one person! Not that I want him to invite Eli to stay, but I read somewhere that he doesn't like to sleep in the master bedroom (maybe) because it's too large. Old houses like this are sometimes haunted. I'm a ghost story fan.

But, wait, he can scare ghosts off with his "inner light." LOL

Glad to see him with his buddies! Eli is either working or just wasn't invited. She could stay at his Villa across the road from the main house so she can easly seem to be around when she really isn't! After the dinner pics it seems for both of them now being around each other even in a group is just too much hard work. He wants to relax and have some fun!

Well it's 4:30am and I can't sleep, thinking about Como and wondering where is Grant, thought by now he would be there working with George on editing IOM? Fall is not far off, does anyone think they could be finished, so quick? When, they finished filming beginning of April, had less than two months before George had to be in London? Those boys are fast! Sorry Katie wasn't sure which thread to put this under Como or IOM.

Hi Grace

I'm assuming you mean why do you have to register at the site where you found the pictures, right? It's probably because that site has copyright of the images and wants to control who sees them. I've no idea whether or not it's safe to trust image sites, but I believe most of them are ok.

I agree with your thinking. Made mention of it yesterday in the Venice FF thread. My second thought was that he did alot of work when he was in Los Angeles when we didn't hear/see much of him.

Just thought of something - George and everyone who works with the film after its done filming is really going to have to work hard and fast to be ready by the end of August. I'm wondering that while we didn't hear/see him while he was in Los Angeles (before leaving for Italy) that he worked on his Director's Cut. Because if he's doing it now while he's in Italy, that doesn't give the studio much time to work on the film.

Didn't read your post siseq, just woke up thunderstorms&dogs, and thought about Clooneys open house and nobody awake but me and the girls(dogs) it's my favorite time to log on, Have had IOM on my mind for awhile now, very excited about this film ,cast, director, location, have my fingers and everything else crossed for a best director oscar. Been thinking about editing etc. but have been distracted by betta drama's.
