In Clooney, Amal has the first rule.

From New York, Tokyo as London, the sexiest man of the world got upstaged by his wife.
With her, he learned to stay behind the shadow. At leas he has the delicacy of us believe... Flaming, Amal is as much by her elegance than her intellect.
The actor is not the only one to be conquered. In the courtrooms, where she plead with brio at the service of human rights, ike in the socials evenings, this brown creeper is unanimous. A plebiscite... that could announce further. The couple mastered to perfection the codes of glamor. It is now in its commitments to excellence.
Meanwhile, he already won the hearts of suffrage, as 60 years ago another duo, John and Jackie, was upset those of America.

The form does not prevent the background. Scratched or mottled outfits, in vintage shops, Amal tries at all speeds, her natural presence did the rest."And she did this while working in 11 cases at the same time!" enthusiasm George, whom Amal has forbidden the wearing of shapeless t-shirts. Her style is scanned over the world, but it is a lawyer in her gown she impresses most. After struggling for recognition for Turkey of the Armenian's genocide and defended in January a journalist of Al Jazeera imprisoned in Cairo, she pleaded in May for the release of the former President of the Maldives, condemned for terrorism.

For her, he wanted a kingdom in the English countryside. No matter if it rains, their charming cottage has enough rooms, more than a dozen with library, spa and gym, to not feel cramped. Planted on an island in the Thames at Sonning, in the exclusive area of Berkshire, this listed manor house of the seventeenth century is isolated from the world, but 30 km from the airport and less than an hour from London. The couple, who promised not to spend more than a week without seeing each other, will move in in September, after the works, the movie theater, a new terrace and the pool completed.

As a spotlight, a few candles illuminate the star, Amal Clooney, near a set named George. She walks fast, with short dress and high heels. Tall, slender, spectacular ... An appearance in a Hollywood setting 1930 Restaurant Sunset Tower in LA. Asked two kisses on the cheeks of the butler, the affable Dimitri; Then she crosses her long legs under the white tablecloth. Other customers have ceased all activities and their truffle fries suspended at the end of the range. Amal leads the discussion.

George looks at her smiling. This clip could be from a film by Billy Wilder: the story of an unknown brunette became so famous that almost forget that the star is her husband. "It is much more intelligent than I am, he said. I knew, in the meeting, it was extraordinary." A superhero, even, who managed to kneel the eternal bachelor elected the sexiest man in the world, literally, for almost half an hour George knelt at the feet of Amal, a winter evening 2014. He recounted without any discomfort, "My marriage proposal was a surprise, not naked avnions never spoken before that happened at home we listened to a recording of me greatly.. . aunt, the singer Rosemary Clooney After having asked the question, we remained standing there for a moment then I told him. "I am 53 years old, I'm on the floor for 28 minutes. If you do not give me your answer, I'll break a hip! ". Since their marriage, there are 8 months, George Clooney talks about his love to everyone he met journalists, inexhaustible: "I immediately wanted to spend my life with it", "we will never get angry" "I have someone I can tell, someone whom I wish more than anyone." Amal, she rises to speak in court to defend its customers: the Greek government determined to recover the Elgin Marbles, former Irish prisoners tortured in the 1970s, former President of the Maldives convicted terrorism. Again, George Clooney, Oscar winner, ranks behind, enthralled. "I am always very proud when I see the audience before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. The difference between us is that, in his work, it's a matter of life or death. " Amal, sensual goddess in the service of human rights, found a husband who is fighting for justice on the big screen, against the Nazis in "Monuments Men" or the feminist cause in a series he produces, the Story Gloria Steinem, icon of the 1970s Apart from their respective trades, the couple engages in all humanitarian and democracy. Their alliance is that of two activists whose philanthropy often touch on politics. Amal George followed in Africa, where the actor defended for many years the people of Darfur against the dictatorial regime of Sudan. "Almost all of the money I earn thanks to the Nespresso ads is invested in a satellite over Sudan to keep an eye on Omar al-Bashir," the president of the country. "I want this criminal has the same degree of attention as me," concluded George Clooney in an interview with the Guardian.Amal, too, dare denounce and take risks. In charge of a report critical of the Egyptian judicial system, she claimed to have been threatened with arrest if she went to Egypt. A charge denied by the government. The lawyer does not end there, having since taken défence an Al-Jazeera journalist jailed in Cairo. If Clooney put their wealth and fame to international causes, their commitment could one day, according to some, take the direction of Washington. Their profile is imagine the greatest ambitions and, daily, their conversations have probably nothing to envy the NY Times the discussion pages. Two, they navigate the murky waters of international crises, while leading their boat to local politics. Prestigious and popular, rarely combined qualities, they pass with ease geopolitical spheres in close contact. Their senior network (Obama to present Arab leaders at their wedding) and the relationship maintained with their fans could porpulser any electoral purpose. The question is which of the two would dare run for office. Always clean shaven, George, whose father ran for US legislation, he thinks every morning to a potential election? Daughter of a recognized journalist, Amal dreams she shoving the Lebanese political class?
For now it is in the early-before they arise. He chats front of the cameras; her pose, silent, leaving express his fashion sense. A bolder appearance, George qualifies eccentric, exclusively signed by leading couturiers. In their Californian villa, an entire room is not enough to store all her outfits, said George. "It sometimes seems taken aback by my clothing style, tells her husband. She often wonder if I'll still wear the shirt of my tequila brand, and sometimes advise me to change before going out." Upon arrival in NY in March, during a shoot, George could adapt the formula of JFK: "I am the man who accompanied Amal Clooney." Amal is not Jackie, but she seduces as much. The couple moved to the Carlyle Hotel. Every day, it is the lawyer, not the actor, that photographers follow through the city, deserting the movie set where George has yet found Julia Roberts, directed by Jodie Foster. Journalists trying to approach the Columbia campus where Amal teaches courses on legislation concerning human rights. Without success. The university has jealously protected its prestigious guest, by signing a confidentiality clause to students. It's easier to follow the professor at nightfall. The Monkey Bar, one night with girlfriends at Club Lamps with Anna Wintour, director of Vogue, or at the editor Tina Brown and her husband, Harold Evans writer. The New York daily of Clooney resembles that of a hero Woody Allen film. Their dating nerds mix Democrats and stars of show business; a small world concentrated in the upper part of Central Park, nicknamed The Champagne Socialists, American caviar left. Land conquered in advance for Amal, a lawyer trilingual graduate of Oxford. "I'm in love with her," he simply said Julia Roberts. The Anglo-Lebanese frisky chewed the big apple. Couturier Giambattista Valli, with whom she had lunch in Manhattan ', which states: "Finally someone has spirit and legs!") The seller of a Soho vintage shop where she dug up a Chanel suit and a fur hat ("Mrs. Clooney was pleasant and posed with passersby who called him a picture"), all are in love.
But London is not spared. The frenzy triggered by Amal reminiscent of Kate Middleton starts. Goerge, prince of cinema for decades, has lost the attraction of novelty.

The English prefer to copy the look of his wife. There is a way "Amal", both physical and cerebral. Brushing smoothed his long career and "barrister" are dreaming. At Oxford, it is cited as an example. "It's a head, she landed the ideal: the man and the business," said one student. Notting Hill was the neighborhood Amal single, but several dozen kilometers from the capital that married have chosen to live. They bought a seventeenth century manor house in Sonning, a village on the Thames, in the area of Berkshire. The house emerges from a bucolic landscape, isolated on a dirt bank surrounded by water, protected by weeping willows. Only swans can aprocher. Last fall, after their wedding Venetian, the Clooney have spent a week in head-to-head, disturbed only by a maid who, every morning, tabled what lunch. The onlookers could see them, seated in their garden in cap room and dress. For dinner, there is the Bull Inn, "the best pub in the world, according to George. To get Amal and I have to cross a bridge, and a cemetery. The way back is a little scary!". George began restoring the mansion to restore its former glory and add a movie theater and an indoor pool. Do not shrink from any cliché, it Amal walks on the river, motor boat. "We share this small island with a dinner theater where I could work one day, if necessary!" he said. Amal, her, moves every day to his office at the firm Doughty Street Chambers, London. Since Sonning, George can go quickly to Heathrow Airport at the discretion _his_ shooting abroad. But the former bachelor knows play man at home: "I am very good pasta, because I have spent time in Italy I also prepare a good breakfast, but my specialty is the Thanksgiving meal. . " Amal is mainly specialized in dinner reservations. "Like her mother! It is a hereditary talent in his family," quipped George. Amal does not therefore not be boil an egg ... a default. Finally!

Article from French magazine Paris Match Empty Re: Article from French magazine Paris Match

Post by LizzyNY Sat 13 Jun 2015, 19:35

At first I thought that even if this article turned out to be the same old thing, maybe the Google translation would be good for a laugh. Well, Google certainly didn't disappoint! There are too many doozies to mention, but I think my favorite is "this brown creeper is unanimous" (which besides being really insulting, makes no sense at all) and the fact that they still haven't figured out whether Amal is male or female, since they insist on calling her "it" throughout the article. I know there are haters on the internet who say she's a man, but Google really should know better!  Very Happy

However, by the time I got to the end of the article I became convinced that the next time I read a Paris Match profile of someone I'll do it with a barf bucket by my side. Could they have fawned over her any more? They actually even said she walks on water! (Well, they said "the river", so I'm paraphrasing, but even so...) Could they have been more dismissive of George in their incredibly obvious suck-up to her? I've never really taken to her but I've been getting used to her. If this was the first thing I ever read about her, I think I'd hate her. I swear her mother paid for this article  - or maybe wrote it herself!

Question. I always thought that Paris Match was the equivalent of the US's Life Magazine, which was a fairly reputable publication. Am I mistaken, or have they changed?

That article seems to be a Hotch Potch of everything that I've read about or heard said by George during the Tomorrowland promotions.
It's NOT an interview.

Lazy journalism or what !

Thanks, Alisonfan. Now it makes sense - NOT! Is Lebanon their only market? Other people read their magazine, too and she's not our hometown hero. They make her sound like the second coming and the reason any of us even exists is to worship at her feet. Yuck! Sick-making.

Just occurred to me. Maybe they're so in love with her beause she's single-handedly keeping haute couture going. It's to their advantage to keep her going as a shill for the fashion industry.

No Lizzy it just mean many family and outer family will see this and be proud. Many in Lebanon speak french better than english. It is important magazine in Lebanon and ME. In ME much made lately of Omar Sharif also movie star now almost homeless after losing mansion in game and last month announce he has alzheimers diease. He likened to George Clooney in looks now and talent in ME.And with Tomorrowland and past few movies doing very bad they choose to focus on Amal Clooney as her career looks to soar, so to dwell on good not bad.

Alisonfan - I understand that the people of Lebanon are proud of Amal. By marrying George she has become "the most accomplished attorney" (fighting for human rights, no less), "a world-wide fashion icon" ," the most intriguing woman" ("How did she get him to marry her?") and very rich. Smart and beautiful. What a miracle she is!

Personally, I'm not that impressed. There are many lawyers working just as hard in her field with much less recognition. As far as her looks, fashion sense and ability to attract attention are concerned, I think that's more media hype than reality, due totally to the fact that she married George. If that hadn't happened nobody would have known who she was or cared what she wore.

I'm sure Paris Match could have written a flattering article about her without making her husband look ridiculous.

I am old enough to remember Omar Sharif as a HUGE international star. His situation is truly sad. I hope there are people in his life to care for him. I do think it's a little premature to compare his situation to George's - unless you think George's marriage and recent career choices are due to George suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Now, that would explain a lot! lol!
