As I remember there was talk I think here that until those pictures at Villa d'Este there had not been any pictures of them kissing.  We had seen Amal's hand on the back of G's neck in the official People Mag engagement pictures.  And there was the pic of George with his arm around Amal in Africa when he went public with their relationship. That was it I believe until Italy and the pics mentioned above.  Then the show of affection at the Florence charity event and those pics at Harry's bar.  Posters were so excited to finally see them show affection with each other when the Villa d'Este pics came out.  We had been waiting... and waiting.

I forgot about the Florence event, I was one of those who was waiting.Lol

Oh, the photos taken from outside the window? If people want to cuddle up & embrace, you'd think they'd do it in a romantic corner in private, right? 

Not in front of a window with the summoned paparazzi strategically positioned outside the window to take the photos.   If common sense prevails. 

How obviously staged was that! IMO...  Bad publicity stunt once again.

GC looks constipated in pain in some of those photos. 
No Oscar winning performance there.
 

As for George hugging a waist or hip bone above, as Pig Pen posted, yes, he's very affectionate to many ladiies after a drink or a few.  

Bouncing Amy Pohler on his knee at Awards...kissing & cuddling Sandra Bullock at VFF....
Guess he's a tactile kind of guy.
