Newlywed George Clooney embraces his good pal Rande Gerber as they enjoy boys' night out

Last month, he vowed to spend the rest of his life with Amal Alamuddin, but it appears George Clooney also needs some quality time with the boys.
The 53-year-old and his good friend Rande Gerber, the husband of Cindy Crawford, were seen leaving Craig's Restaurant in West Hollywood, California on Saturday night.
It seemed the two friends haven't spent any one-on-one time recently and were happy to have spent the evening together and catching up.

As they left the restaurant, the two men gave each other a big farewell hug.
George was low key for the outing, wearing a grey T-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket.

The actor was spotted on the set on Friday as he grabbed some lunch in between takes.
He was clad in dark green cords and a khaki zip up jacket, clutching several snacks in his hands as he chatted to one of his colleagues.
Disney's latest project is inspired by the theme park attraction of the same name, Tomorrowland, which showcased a futuristic vision of the world when it first opened in the California park in 1955.

The film, which also stars Hugh Laurie and Britt Robertson, is being helmed by Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird and produced by Damon Lindelof, best known for Lost and Star Trek.
The plot centres around lead character Casey Newton (Britt Robertson), who is transported to a faraway land when she touches a magical totem.
She seeks out the help of Frank Walker (Clooney), a genius inventor who shies away from society, in order to unlock the mysteries of the secret world.

George looks like he is in pain in the one picture. He looks like his back is hurting him, and he does look tired. He needs to get some rest and all this is too much for him. I hope he is happy and will get some rest. bg

So good to see George. He looks really tired, probably could use a few hours of sleep. He's been going strong since his wedding.

I wonder if he'll head back to London or go to New Orleans. He might even stay in LA for a few days to get some work done. Whatever he does, I hope he gets some rest. He looks more than tired. Also, is it just the lighting, or does his hair look darker?

He does look tired. I think in low light his hair doesn't look so gray but in brighter light or in sunshine the gray is highlighted much more.

George is going to tire rapidly of flying 11 hours from LA to London to see his wife when his life has always been based in LA except summers in Italy and of course, his movie shoots taking place whereever they are being shot. 11 hours is not a short flight. 

And George is someone who loves sunshine and the weather in England is disgusting. I know I've lived there. I can't see this marriage working unless Amal gives up her career and moves to LA. And I can't see her fitting into the LA 'scene' at all. 

Or he will need to start shooting all his movies in Europe and minimise his time in the US. But the US are where the Boys are, where his life has been and where all his friends are. He's not going to give that up for her especially when the rose coloured glasses come off which will be soon.

Well, I think he looks great!

I like the Italian pics better. Love that hug between Rande and George. I agree Joanna. Love the jeans/leather jacket look. That to me is the look George likes best.

I don't normally take any notice of what global chicken writes.
But I can assure anyone who's interested that the weather in England is NOT disgusting. Period.

I took my first trip to London last year. The weather was actually pretty cold. It even snowed a bit. It was February. But it was beautiful there. I had such a wonderful time. A beautiful city. I was there almost a week but didn't get out to the countryside but I can imagine it was gorgeous. I would go back in a flash (but first I have to go to Italy).

George is a very privileged man to have some many homes and can enjoy all types of weather. I'm sure he and Amal will relish the beautiful home and grounds they have in the UK now. And the privacy will be welcome for George especially.

Yep, tipsy and tired.  He looks hot though in his baggies!

Totally disagree with Globalchick's comment that George is going to get tired of long flights to see Amal, or whatever...

He flies private or 1st class.  Not the same as biz/economy.  At all.  And he knew the deal -- perhaps he WANTS to fly from home to home!  I would if I could.  

Want to know 'bad weather?'  Come visit me in Germany.

George and Amal have been together for over a year. They are obviously used to the traveling and decided that this is how they will continue. I think they probably build their schedules around their work so they will spend as much time as possible together where ever they each are.

If he isn't used to traveling by now, he never will be. He works all over the world and probably spends almost as much time in the air as he does on the ground. As far as frequent flyer miles go, Ryan Bingham's got nothing on George. If he can squeeze in an 11 hour flight to go see her, I'm sure he will, without considering it too much of a chore.

As others have said, these two have had a year of living their lives like this. It's normal to them......and I think he was being given a lift to fly back out again somewhere. Rande Gerber said goodbye and went back inside Craig's

PAN, do you know if George owns his own plane? I didn't think he did. And I thought he used private only within a country. So he really flies private from LA to Europe?

Well, I get the impression he uses a combination. Don't forget that Van Neuys (private plane only I think)airport is just up the road from his place. Think he feels a bit guilty about it and apologises for the lack of green credentials in that area.

Somewhere on here is a lovely pic of Einstein (I think it was a Stacy twitpic) sitting in a private plane seat gazing out of the window - tagged something about 'dog's life' I think, and of course there's always the Casamigos plane, but I don't believe he owns his own plane.

George does not own a private plane.  (At least if he does it would be news to me and everyone else here I'm sure).

But he does use private planes.

I suspect he might either have a shared jet service (for example from a compnay like NetJets) and/or he has use of private planes either when he's working from the studios or from friends who own them.

So you think he would fly overseas privately? And I have seen that picture of Einstein on a plane. Yea, pretty sure it was Stacey who posted it. I think they were all coming or going to Cabo at the time. Really cute pic of Einstein. He looked like he was pretty comfortable flying.

George mentioned once that they usually stop somewhere in Canada when they go over seas and get ice cream somewhere up there.  The stop is for refueling the private plane.

I know I read that somewhere - but don't ask me where.

He definitely flies on private jets I think I think he flies private depending on where he is going and how many people are with him.

I think he flies privately alot when he's in Europe  - remember the Monuments Men cast taking a break and flying into Lugano?

He uses that alot - home is just down the hill!
