Sterling Moss paid tribute to Jack Brabham.
They were always racing each other in their day.
Before one race, Sterling's gear box went.
Jack just offered him his second car !
Would that happen in today's F1 world ? Lol

For those with F/B accounts

Email I've received today.....
Thank you for signing the petition urging the US Coast Guard to restart the search to find our friends lost at sea. The support is overwhelming, we’ve had over 140,000 signers, the incredible support of Ben Fogle, Richard Branson and James Cracknell and coverage across all news channels. We are so grateful that people are coming together and keeping hope alive.
Every time we hit another milestone our Foreign Secretary, William Hague, and the US Coast Guard receive a message from us.
We desperately need our government to intervene and contact the US to continue the search for our four boys. These boys were skilled sailors and we believe they would know how to survive being lost at sea.We need the support of the brilliant US Coast Guard to keep up the search.
If you are on twitter, please click on the link below to send this message to our Prime Minister, asking him to step in.
It is too soon to give up. @Number10press please step in + urge US Coast Guard to continue search of #cheekirafiki change.org/cheekirafiki
Andy's friends have asked that we all show support by copying the image below and saving it as our Facebook/Twitter profile picture. We want this to go worldwide, to give a clear message of support for our friends. They have also set up a Facebook page: Don't give up on Cheeki Rafiki.
Thank you for your continued support.

Re: May 2014 Chit Chat
Is it me? Is it a full moon? Is it the weather?
In the last week have been ripped a new one in public by two managers for the most INANE reasons in the world.
I then have to defend myself in front of the two vice presidents and one sr manager that I support because these prima donnas ripping me a new one are doing so without full knowledge of the situations. And I can't GIVE them the full info because it's up to the Vice Presidents to give them that info.
Geesh, it's like being a fucking rubber ball between all these sets of balls that won't talk to each other but want to use me as the whipping post.
If this crap doesn't stop I'm going to get even by retiring and letting them deal with each other directly!
Best thing is that I'll know what happens because I've got tons of friends here who will be quite happy to keep me informed of the bloodbath that will happen once I leave!

Maybe it is time for a change and look for a new job. Or you go to them and talk straight and tell them you do not want to be involved in this matter.

Well so far no health problems but possibly mental cause I have a strong desire to kick guys in the nuts on a daily basis. I KNOW that wouldn't go over well at all here! HA!
It gets frustrating. We have so many Napoleans here of every height that it gets difficult to hold ones tongue!

Lorna - I speak from experience, if you have to kick a guy in the nuts, know that they fall down and hit the ground within 2 seconds, allowing you plenty of time to run away!!
Don't let these twits bother you, I know its hard cause you see them every day, but remember if you walk around with a smile on your face, that will piss them off more. Some people feed on the fact that they have gotten under your skin, don't allow them that opportunity.

Re: May 2014 Chit Chat
Okay the maniacal smile may not be your best look, and yeah don't take advice from the Rocky Horror Picture Show (or me for that matter) LOL.
When I had to help co-ordinate 200 people moving to another floor, one of the bosses who had an overly inflated view of himself kept refusing to pack his own belongings insisted us EA's do it, so I spent the next 2 weeks systematically removing objects from his office one at a time, drove him crazy, he thought he was losing things, people were stealing his stuff. So I said all so sweetly, well if like the rest of the office your belongings were packed, maybe they wouldn't go walking off - he had his office packed in under 1 hour and then I returned his property.

Don't even ask what I did to the boss (in the early 1990's) who kept a whistle on his desk and would literally whistle at me when he wanted my attention! Really don't ask, it wasn't pretty!

Re: May 2014 Chit Chat
Okay I will tell you, cause it may make you laugh.
This particular boss who liked to play the Big Bossy Dude in the office (whenever the real Big Bossy Dude in the office was away) used to whistle at me all the freaking time. I dutifully and angrily would get out of my chair and go see what his highness wanted, upon which he would warn me that my "attitude" needed adjusting!! FFS!! After 2 weeks of this, the entire team were sick of the whistle, I was pissed off too. So when my boss (the real Big Boss Dude) returns from Overseas I seize my moment. I go in my desk and take out my Rottweilers choker collar and leash and put it on then say in as loud a voice as possible, what was that, did I hear a whistle, **** is that you whistling at me again, Im on my way and proceed to walk towards his office like some submissive playing a part. At this point my Boss jumps out of his chair and is yelling What in the name of Fuck is going on here, why are you wearing a dog collar?? LMAO (well I can now anyway). After a brief discussion with me, humiliated wanna be Boss was sent to HR to eat some humble pie. Mr Whistle Blower was rumoured to be next in line to take over the team, yep it never happened, no idea why???

Id say 90% of the men I worked directly for were gems and real blessings, but the (usually) men that reported to them, crickey, power hungry nightmares, when the boss was away their real personalities would come for sure. I think I was one of very few EA's that actually preferred their boss not to travel, my life was easier with him in the office than out of it.

Oh Melbert I haven't seen that movie in forever, but you reminded me that's probably where I got the idea to do that. I should have put him in the collar instead, that would have been more humiliating. Oh Im going to see if I can download that movie for the weekend.
ps just tidying up my pantry and I discovered an unopened box of caramel slices that I forgot I bought, yeah me, its a happy afternoon.

You know I've decided I just do not get paid enough for all the work I do here on this site.
I mean given that I've got dual jobs here and the CIA someone is seriously underpaid.
I think I need to ask for a raise or a better assignment. I mean I could be shilling for Hugh Jackman or maybe Daniel Craig.
brahahahaha

Well so far today no one has ripped me a new one. But wait, still 5 more hours to go... :-)
I can think of a few folks over here that I'd like to put a dog collar on and then lock them to their chair. Would muzzles be allowed I wonder? Hmmm.

Muzzles are essential Lorna for a peaceful day, but allowed, definitely not.
Go to Home Depot and wherever you buy such stuff and stock up on superglue Lorna and have some fun!
Joanna, nope didn't give deprived boyfriend a sequel of the collar, think the fantasy in his case is better than reality!!

This is really sad. Money can't buy our kid's happiness nor self worth. Society implements the wrong idea of what happiness should be.

Well did have someone else rip me a new one on Friday afternoon so I didn't make it out of there unscathed.
Oh well, the only consolation is that after the manager did it, I found the email where I HAD told him about what he insisted I didn't tell him and I sent it to our division VP. I didn't get mad. I just got even.

Speaking about rain, it absolutely poured down and I had no choice but to go out in it - I need a new umbrella, Master 4 didn't mind, he was yelling/screaming and eating the rain, having the best time.

Definitely Katiedot - another thing I realised last night too was that kids just run around the house for the hell of it, run all over the place laughing their heads off - maybe us adults should mimic them for a week or so, sure we'd all feel heaps better!!

Re: May 2014 Chit Chat
Sounds interesting. I support any kind of chocolate
The sweet with a savoury sting in the tail... Marmite chocolate
They are not flavours you would normally connect.
But Marmite is challenging perceptions of taste by combining its yeast spread with chocolate.
The ‘Very Peculiar’ milk chocolate bars cost £3 and will be available from Monday in stores, including BHS and Debenhams, and online.
Like the brand’s advertising slogan, the new line is likely to prompt ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ reviews.
The strong-smelling 100g bar is made with 98 per cent milk chocolate and two per cent Marmite flavouring. This includes yeast extract, onion powder and garlic powder.
Chef Rowley Leigh, owner of Le Café Anglais in West London, agreed to try the new product for the Daily Mail. He was not impressed.
‘The thing is, they have so little faith in the product that there is hardly any Marmite in it. Although you can smell it quite strongly, the taste only comes at the finish,’ he said.
‘They have tried to make it as mild and sweet and innocuous as they can. It starts out as slightly bland chocolate but, in the background, it is deeply nauseating.
‘If you like Marmite, why would you not just eat Marmite?’
Unilever, the company behind Marmite, has described the 100g bars as ‘a devious treat for the in-laws’ at Christmas or ideal for those struggling to find a present for a loved one.
The chocolate initially forms part of Marmite’s limited edition Christmas range
