Is there a Cipriani Restaurant in New York? or am I misunderstanding something?

Yes, there's a Cipriani in New York - often used for premiere-type functions too.

It looks to be Cipriani Downtown with the outdoor diners in the background of the pics.

Cipriani Downtown® is located at West Broadway near Broome Street in New York City. The more casual version of Harry Cipriani, Downtown offers a slightly less formal menu than its uptown predecessor. Beautifully designed, the restaurant offers outdoor dining when the weather is agreeable, serving lunch and dinner in a party-like atmosphere.

Maybe it's late in the day and he needs to stretch out. Hopefully a good nights rest will help, a massage would really help but I guess that's out of the question. It's an ongoing situation, God love him he copes.

Also in NYC, Sandra Bullock doing the TV studio rounds (according to the Daily Mail) re Gravity, and a Cate Blanchett tribute at the NY Film Festival tomorrow.

Film opens on Friday.
